At the center of this story are two men (or rather, two bearshifters) who have hidden their feelings for years and can’t seem to get rid of them – despite the fact that Noah is now an adult and Quinn is no longer his guardian. I can see how a forbidden love like that can leave residual fear behind, even though the issue is long gone. But when Noah and Quinn try so hard to ignore their feelings, to the point where Noah runs away and ends up in a dangerous situation, I also can’t help but think they should probably discuss the situation and find a solution.

A romantic bear shifter story
Quinn and Noah have been attracted to each other for years, but since Quinn is Noah’s guardian, neither has shown their true feelings toward each other. But when Noah is in danger, Quinn will do everything to find him. This is a suspenseful, engaging, romantic M/M story between two bear shifters.

This is a shifter book that makes me believe in shifters. There’s a lot of story packed into this novella. The sex is hot and the emotion is deep. I was rooting for these two to get together. I'm looking forward to what happens next in Sanctuary.

Like every book I’ve read by this author, the action begins from the opening paragraph, and it continues until the last page is turned. Noah has been in love with his guardian, Quinn for as long as he can remember. He despite himself for the thoughts he constantly has about Quinn. Unbeknown to him, Quinn feels the same way about him. Not only were they behaving like typical men, keeping all this bottled up, they had an even bigger problem, they were shifters and in the shifter world, M/M love is not the norm. So to maintain some control, Quinn sent Noah away to college, hoping the old adage, out of sight out of mind would work, but it didn’t, not for either of them. Now Noah was back and he appears not to want anything to do with Quinn. He does not even want to live in the same community as Quinn. Will Quinn accept Noah’s decision to move away and more importantly, will he be able to keep his feeling for Noah a secret while he try to convince him to stay?
This story has everything, love, passion, shifters, suspense, and in the end, love wins out. If M/M is your cup of tea, then this story is a must read!

This was pretty much just MEH for me to be honest. Nothing new, nothing terribly surprising, and it really could have been longer with the characters and storyline fleshed out. Just my opinion, though.

... das war ok. Das ganze hin und her mit Noah und Quinn war mir ein bisschen anstrengend. Und im Grunde hat Quinn ihm ja immer noch nicht die Wahrheit gesagt 🤔
Ich bin zumindest gespannt auf den nächsten Teil.
