Going Down is the fourth full-length bad boy romance novel in the Santa Espera series. It is NOT a standalone novel. It contains NO CHEATING, dark themes, and some incredibly hot sex!
Harley Fox grew up in a tough neighborhood. It's the kind of place where you get to know a certain type of man -- the bad boy, the biker, the alpha male. The type that you know is wrong for you, but that feels so right.
Today she writes novels about those bad boys and the complex lives they lead. Her strong female characters are based off the women she knew growing up. Harley is happily married to her own bad boy, and together they're raising an adorable little girl.

This is like a 3.5 for me.
So all three couples from the previous installments are now together and it's through their six POVs that the story continues. I was pretty excited about this one because the last book left us on such a cliffhanger, and what with everyone wanting to kill Will Silver (no, this is not a spoiler, he's the antagonist) you can't help but wonder what's going to happen.
I didn't like the first book, I loved the second one, and I thought the third one was pretty good. Seeing all of them together has only reminded me how much I loved/hated them XD For one thing, it was an interesting experience moving from the POV of a character I liked to one I didn't. At first I thought it was weird, and then some things would happen that would seriously freak me out in a good way, and then something else would happen... needless to say, I still think one of the characters is crazy and a major jerk and I honestly don't know how that other person is still with them but dammit you can't help but commend them for their dedication to that person. It ended with a clear line of who was on what side, and the cliff hanger was pretty cool. I wasn't too keen on this installment though because when you look at all that's happened? Well, not much has happened. In the main scheme of things, I mean. This felt more like all of the smaller things from their respected stories got answered in this one. So while you can't say nothing happened, it still feels like no one has made progress with the big plan. I can only assume we'll get all that in the next book.
This is not a standalone book, you really need to read the series to keep it all in order. I do like some characters but really hate some characters so you do get a mixture, this has all 6 main characters so be prepared. This book is filled with suspense, action and some amazing characters but your emotions are going to be all over the place for just the right reasons. The story is fast and kept me reading, the whole series is well worth reading.
