Heartbreak and Hate
Love the fact that things continue moving forward. Nice to get some actual background on one of the Cooper's who have fronted the hunt for the Jones family. Dialogue and art are perfect. Enjoy this!

Thanks, I Hate Elena...
Well... I sure hope this is intended to be a villain origin and not a protagonist origin. Elena Cooper is a human monster, despite proclaiming herself to be a hunter of literal monsters. She's selfish to a disgusting degree and while her origin is initially somewhat sympathetic it's completely impossible to empathize by the end.
I liked getting to see the Serpents and liked that FP sort of looked like Murdoc from the Gorillaz just with slightly better hygiene and less Satanism. Not entirely crazy about certain plot beats involving them, but still... Overall, there were interesting bits but too much focus on some truly reprehensible characters. Given said characters are Elena and her family, however, it's well suited for the theme of this issue. I just don't find the whole high and mighty hunters thing entertaining from this angle.

I have so enjoyed this spin off of Archie. It is a wild story and I love it. I love the whole good guy had guy thing. What is really fun with a story like this is sometimes you can not tell which is which.
