RUTH: A Kindertransport Life

Rate this book
Ruth was saved from dying in a Nazi concentration camp when her parents put her on a Kindertransport train in Hamburg. Aged just thirteen, she was excited at the prospect of the family all meeting up in England. She could not know she would never see her parents again. Making a life in England, learning a new language, the world of work and admission to the armed forces made an eventful life. Then, marriage and difficulties set in. Eventually, Ruth came full circle and returned to Hamburg to forgive. This is her story. It was eighty years in the making.
