Professor James is shocked to find his graduate student on his door step looking for help. How can he turn her away when he has always been so smitten with her. Her problems are bigger than he realized. Can he protect her from what she has discovered? Will his own past come back to haunt him? This is a new MC series, as well as, a new author for me. This Novella really packs a punch with so much to grip you and keeps you wanting more. The story moves quick but definitely keeps you engaged and leaves you wanting more. Be warned ends on a cliff hanger

Professor James is a protector and a man that you’ll look up in more ways then one. This is a short treat that will have you hooked and dying for more, I love a good Mc romance and this book delivers perfectly. Shelly has shaken up a past that James can’t bring himself to leave alone anymore and we’re taken on an edge of your seat ride that is only the beginning. I cannot wait to see what the future holds in this series

Shelly is a young college graduate. Professor James is her former teacher. He's like no other teacher, though. With bulky muscles and tattoos under his profession jacket, he barely meets your expectations of a serious, dedicated teacher.
Shelly, now graduated, runs to the only help she know, Professor James, when she discovers a horrible scene. Professor, as it turns out, wasn't always so scholarly. At one time, he was a member of a motorcycle gang that terrorized people. Unlike the other members in the group, he grew up and found a respectable career. Now he's traded in his bike for books and teaches philosophy at a university.
And he has a set of ethics. Unlike his gang, he believes in right and wrong. When Shelly has nowhere to turn, due to fear and the fact that probably nobody will believe her, Professor James risks his safety to help her.
This was a fantastic prequel. Although it's short, the author does a fantastic job with the characters. They are really alive in this novel. His writing is excellent, too. The novel is action-packed, a real page-turner.
If you like action with spectacular, caring characters, you need to read this!

This is a quick story about Shelly and Professor James. Late one night he finds Shelly on his doorstep in a panic. James had Shelly as a student for two different classes and she is the one student who had him thinking about her as more than a student but never went there. James can not believe the story she tells him about his previous MC and what they are up to. He offers her help and they end up running from everyone and their everyday lives! This story ends on a cliff hanger be warned. This is my first story by Jackson and I can not wait for the full story! I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

A bit of a departure for Jackson Kane, at least for me and having only read his previous romances before. This one is still a romance but an MC romance. This one is about Shelly and Professor Long, and they're on the run. I won't say from whom or why and spoil it but suffice to say, it's a fun ride while it lasts. This one seemed to end a little abruptly to me, but seeing as it's a prequel, I give it a pass on that. And I'm absolutely looking forward to reading what Mr. Kane has in store for us next.

GREAT START!!! This is the first book I've read by Jackson Kane and I'm already hooked. After reading Origin, I know the rest of this series is going to kick ass. Origin is very well written. The characters are incredible. I can't wait to see where Mr. Kane takes this story next. He has me on the edge of my seat and begging for more.

Origin is a short prequel to the Steel Veins MC series by Jackson Kane. It's action-packed and well-written with a fantastic storyline and incredible characters.

I loved this book.. It was not that long but it was really good and hot. I am looking forward to read more of Shelly and Teach story along with more from the Steel Veins MC series.

This is a very good start to what seems like a new exciting MC series. I am anxious to see how things play out for Authur and Shelly. This is the first book I have read by Jackson Kane. I very much enjoyed it and look forward to reading more of this series.
