The remarkable inside story of the global Training for Trainers (T4T) movement that produced 150,000 new church starts and saw 2 million baptisms in a decade before going on to catalyze movements to Christ around the world. Told by the pioneers of the movement, Ying and Grace Kai, with spiritual insights and practical lessons that you can apply to your own life and ministry!
I enjoyed reading about the concept of T4T and thought it is effective, this book however is very repetitive and is worth only reading the first 70ish pages. I loved the Biblical basis on which everything is discussed and the importance of prayer.
Loved Ying and Grace Kai’s story of reaching thousands of people with Jesus’s love and redemption. When the mission field showed the inadequacy of their previous ways of bringing new believers into the kingdom of God, they went into prayer and study of Scripture. What they came away with is a simple method taught by Jesus and the apostles in the Gospels and Acts. We are to go, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father Son and Holy Spirit, and teach them to obey all that Jesus commanded. We know those words but Ying and Grace have found an easily reproducible way of doing it, and training others to do it, who will train others to do it, resulting in multiplication. When they applied this revelation in their mission field, they saw exponential growth that started a movement.
I have only started practicing this method of training trainers, but I have already begun to see fruit. I look forward to referencing this book in the coming months and seeing what God does!
