Aiden and Lane return with Lavender and Sage in another Boys Of Lake Cliff book.

A baby can cause quite a stir in a town like Lake Cliff. Sometimes, in ways you wouldn't expect. Mr. Lavender reminds us that he'll only be predictable when it suits him and changing one's stripes can be tricky. Big changes are coming to Lake Cliff and a baby's just the beginning.

“He fell asleep on the way over, so we kept this down so he wouldn’t wake up,” Kay whispered as she pushed the hood back and Lavender could feel Sage’s chest lock as they stood next to each other, his tightened as well as he held his breath and leaned so he could see into the stroller. Lavender’s nose began to tingle and burn as a head full of golden curls caused his heart to flutter. He was in awe of Robin’s cheeks, they were so full and looked so soft. And how could a nose be so tiny and perfect? He was dressed in a rather dapper navy and white striped knit jumper and Lavender’s head tilted as Robin waved his tiny fist and yawned. His eyes opened and they were the softest green and Lavender knew him. His eyes began to blur again and he sniffed hard to clear them then nodded as he stared down at Robin.
“I think he’s more of an Aston Martin sort of fellow, don’t you?” He asked as he looked back at Sage. He was just as dazed as Lavender.
“What?” He laughed.
“I don’t think the Bentley would do,” Lavender decided and Sage shook his head slowly. The Breckmans looked completely baffled.
“I really don’t think he cares,” Sage said and Lavender waved dismissively.
“You wouldn’t understand,” he said as he smiled at Robin. He would, one day. Lavender knew because he could see it in his eyes. They were so much like Sage’s but there was a spark of something clever and quick. Lavender saw it and he felt it. And Lavender loved him.

Lavender is still my favorite. Sage is growing on me. I could take or leave Paul and Reginald.

Originally read March 2018

So, it's no secret this series has captivated me and I've read it straight through. I have enjoyed Aiden and Lane, and Lavender and Sage. Lavender is my favorite of all of them. I think I could read 10 more books about his total badass self. I love a good anti-hero who has a soft spot for his partner and family.
"There was no limit to what he’d do to protect his family. He would give Sage everything and Robin would have the world."

This one was filled with some sweet massive ovary-exploding scenes. After the semi-cliffy of book 5, I wasn't sure how this was all going to work out. But oh man...did Lavender come through. I think I still have heart eyes.
“It only took me a moment to see that he was every single thing I love about you in one tiny, absolutely perfect bundle. I thought you were the only thing my soul would ever need but then there was a second you and I needed him too. I don’t know if that’s fatherhood. He’s my life and I will lay the world at his feet because I love him more than every other thing on this earth that isn’t you, because he’s so full of you."~Jeremy

There is a new couple introduced in this one. I have to say, they are not my favorite. One is, well let's just say, a total man-slut of epic proportions. Not that I haven't read books like that, but there were a few things about this situation that just didn't do it for me (just my own personal pet-peeves and pickiness. I imagine most will not be bothered by it).

Overall, it was still a good book and parts were beautiful and swoony and of course, there were the hot scenes.

And we’re back on track. I really enjoyed this book. It alternates between Lavender, Sage, Robin, Lane, Aiden and also Paul and Reginald. It switches chapter by chapter as the story emerges.

I absolutely adore Lavender. And seeing him as a father was wonderful.
I was a little annoyed he forgave Sage so quickly. But he loves his family with all his heart.

There’s loads of brilliant lines in here. But I think my favourite was...

“There is nothing on earth that would compel me to eat that trash, and I’ve been homeless, Sage,” he declared and one of the mothers scowled at him as she prodded her salad.

Fabulous book.

I liked Reginald and Paul in this one and I think they are sexy together but I just couldn't suspend disbelief enough for the big shoot out.

I am still struggling with jeremy and Sage. I wish I could like them as a couple. I just don't.

I love Lavender so much but I'm still struggling with Sage and this book DID NOT help! I'm just not a big fan of Sage or the way he treats Lavender and the way he kept such a huge secret from Lavender just made it worse. I also didn't buy into how quickly Lavender forgives Sage for this - it was just too quickly. I adored Lavender as a dad and their are some really funny lines that go along with this but the change was a bit too quick as well.

A lot of this book is centered around Paul and Reginald but for me their relationship seemed to be all about sex and when the I love you's happened I didn't really believe them. I did like it when Paul stood up for himself and called Reginald on his B.S.

I admit the ending action scene was OTT - but then all action adventure movies are. It's your basic the good guys kill everyone they aim at and the bad guys can't hit the broad side of a barn no matter how many of them there are. You can't help but roll your eyes and enjoy it anyway.

This one may be my least favorite of the bunch. I think there was just too much Paul and Reginald for my liking and not enough of the other couples that I have grown to love. I am sure this was more of a set up for Reginald's and Paul's story, which I am still going to read, but like I said I wanted more of my other boys in this one.

Daddy Lavender - 5*
Rest of book - 3*
Overall 3.5* rounded up.

This picks up a day or two after the ending of Bleed and Seek. Unfortunately in that missing smidgen of time is the conversation between Sage and Lavender about exactly how Sage came to keep such a major secret from Lavender. We do get to find out in a classic case of telling not showing. Of all the really horrible ways Sage has treated Jeremy this one really takes the cake. I felt robbed of rightfully angry Lavender. I totally bought into him falling in love with Robin at first sight but I did not buy into the instantaneous forgiveness of cowardly and selfish Sage.

Lavender as father was hilarious. His description of baby carriers that includes the word fucktastrophy was spot on. And only Lavender would buy his baby a white cashmere sweater.

Most of the book was centered around the new couple - Paul (Aiden's ex fuck-colleague) and Reginald (Lavender's man Friday). I was really looking forward to Paul and I was not disappointed. Well maybe a bit in his pining for Aiden but there was none of that actively in the book. I liked that he finally calls Reginald on his shit and stands up for himself. Reginald is classic man-whore but he is forced to confront the fact that he is besotted with Paul.

The bad guy storyline was pretty meh and the shootout had many issues. But I didn't care cause I got 5 great guys and a baby (plus Sage who is still in my dog house)

I accidentally read this before Swallowed in the Sea and that caused me no issues.

Another grab you by the balls adventure

Another interesting story despite all the sex.
I'm not sure if there wasn't as much sex in this book or if I was just overwhelmed by reading the 5 first books in one sitting. They were in a bundle and it was nice not to have to search out then download the next in the series. But I guess they didn't put bawdy or pervy in every one on the authors feeds for nothing. For .99 each for the first eight books in the series it's a phenomenal investment. Also, if by some miracle I ever manage to hook another boyfriend I would really like to have him get some sex tips from the author. The steamy scenes in these book are like nothing I have ever experienced in real life. And the hottness factor of each character seems to make even porn gods sound plain.
The characters are interesting and comical at the same time and I'm just fascinated the Mr. Lavender for some reason. Still not sure if I would be as enthralled in real life but it would quite fun to find out. As long as I was Sage and knew I was most likely the only one he wouldn't kill. But knowing how much my few exes still think I'm Satan to this day, I would probably need a remote button for that safe room so it was open when I got to it. And a sensor so it slammed shut when I dived into it. But enough about my non existent interpersonal skills.
Aiden and Lane were the first couple in the series. Aiden's quirks are amusing and his brilliance is pretty amazing. Lane must be the most patient man on the planet though. Paul and Reginald are growing on me and since the last book was the first one they were central to the plot it's only natural. I'm sure after another book or two they will be just as near and dear to my heart.
Anyway I am really getting irritated with myself not being able to write just a regular short and sweet review. But then it wouldn't be doing all these lovable but sometimes deadly characters justice.
So just read the book.!
👍👍👍 🍆🍑🤪😋

Great addition to the series.

Wow, just wow, such a good addition to the series. I love reading about Aiden and Lane (they are one of my favourite mm couples), and the addition of Sage and Lavender earlier in the books, was just pure gold.

I was sucked into this book right from the start. Lavender's reaction to baby Robin was so unexpected, but so adorable. it also made sense, the further I read.

The characters in these stories are such odd balls, but compliment each other so well. Sage is so good for Lavender, as Lane is still so good for Aiden. Both Lavender and Aiden need to be loved so much for all that they have been through in their pasts.

I thoroughly enjoyed the inclusion of Paul and Reginald. They made just enough of a difference to keep the series fresh. As with the other couples, they're a perfect match. I'm so happy that it looks like Paul is going to get his own HEA, even though I'm sure that Ms Sterling will make him crawl over hot coals to get him there. (She can be sadistic like that). I've a feeling that Reginald is going to be even more difficult than Aiden or Lavender.

I just really enjoyed the book. The story was full of action, but funny (the bagel store 😂), and touching at the same time. Got to say though that Aiden and Lane are still my absolute favourites, Aiden's responses in parts of the books had me laughing out loud.

As you may have guessed, I'm a massive fan of Ms Sterling, loved this as much as any of her books I've read. All of the characters are just so cute together. More of these boys please, even if we just get glimpses of how Lane and Adrien are getting on.

Fast Paced Action Adventure M/M Erotica At Its Best!

I loved Reginald's and Paul's story and look forward to many more future adventures.

I think K. Stirling's excellent storytelling skills shine through in Find and Keep. She adroitly switches back and forth between all three couples involved without losing the reader during the location and character shifts.

All of our beloved characters from other Lake Cliff books are back. Lane and Paul's growing understanding of Jeremy and their reluctant acceptance of him is quite entertaining.

Aiden and Sage are back too. Watching Aiden's humanity growing in each book is a joy.

Sage's joy and also exasperation in his daily life is reminiscent of my own. Trying so hard to please Lavender while his own clumsiness gets in his way. And yet Sage won't Lavender/Jeremy get away with too much high handedness.

Getting to see glimpses of Denver and Toly, aka "The Red Death" was fun. I was left wanting more of their two stories.

The author wants to know what we want to read next. I love all her books and will be happy with whatever she decides on. I do know I want more stories from this spy/assassin/Federal Agent/hacker/serial killer world!

That book was a big disapointment.
I was captivated by the series and the characters from the beginning, and after the big revealing in the previous book,i couldn´t wait to read this one.

Sage told Jeremy in the presence of their friends about his 8 months old son(that was a cowardly move).

And what happend after that?Absolutly nothing!
I was robbed of going through all the emotions, that comes with such a betrayal(because that was exactly what Sage did : decide to father a child during his relationship with Jeremy without talking to him about it).Not one word about the arguing, that surely would have followed ;the forgiving and acceptance of their new life.

Only a few sentences before meeting the baby show us,that there is a quarrel. But one look at the baby and the assassin is domesticated. Jeremy´s doubts about beeing capable of living a "normal"life (and he admitted to himself,he was just playing along for Sage´s sake) simply vanished ?!

At 20% we get a simple "I´m not angry or disappointed anymore" from Jeremy.I stopped reading at that point. The solution for such a life changing and emotional Situation was far to easy and unbelievable, i didn´t like Sage anymore, and unfortunately ,the rest of the book was spoiled.

This is an amazing installment in the Boys Of Lake Cliff series. I loved everything about it and I could not put it down. Seeing Jeremy as a parent is my favorite part of this book and I couldn't stop laughing when he had issues with the parents and kids at the bagel shop. He and Sage have a lot to deal with and when you add Lane, Aiden, Paul and Reginald into the mix you know to expect non-stop action, crazy situations and surprising twists. I love all three of these couples and I hope to see a lot more of them in the future. I am intrigued by the Red Death as well and I can't wait to see what the author has in store for us next.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

All the men together

Since we get all of the men together in one great book it's just as full of guns, explosions, steamy men on men action as you could expect.
We finally get to see Lavender, Sage, Lane, Aiden, Reginald and Paul together in this wonderful hot mess of extraordinary men trying to function in the normal word. It's equally hilarious as terrifying.

We get to see an old enemy, Reginalds transformation from emotional unavailability, Lavender and Sage as parents ( Lavenders first reaction to Robin made me swoon and my favourite couple Aiden and Lane.

I'm quite curious about the Red Death and hope to see more of him.

Family matters

The boys of Lake Cliff return with Jeremy aka Mr. Lavender getting used to being a husband and father. Our two couples relationships are stronger than ever and we have a new pairing to swoon over. Paul and Reginald are like oil and water but so so incredibly hot. Add in a fake Mr. Lavender and a string of murders and K. gives us another rollicking good MM romantic suspense featuring my favourite assassin discovering how much friends and family matter whilst battling a past that just won't let him go. Roll on the next book.

Wasn't interested in this duo

I'm not a fan of Paul or Reginald so there dynamic meant nothing to me. I don't mind them in their supportive roles to our main characters such as Lane and Aiden, Lavender and Sage. I only enjoyed the parts that focused on Lavender in all his glory aside Lane, taking our all the baddies that enter Lake Cliff. I enjoy Aidan's beautiful mind and Sage's kind heart and how the four of them interact. Let's stick to our for main heroes.

What could be crazier than these 2 couple normal lives? Reginald comes to visit! Well, maybe visit isn't the right word. Danger is once again coming for these men. Everything is not as it appears to be though. I'm not going to say much more because I don't want to spoil it but this is one of the best of the series!

K. Sterling knows how to entertain the reader, as I intend to read all the books in the series. My favorite couple still is Lavender and Sage, so I hope more books in the series have a strong role for those two. I recommend this author to all you MM romance and suspense lovers. ❤️

Love it

I love the boys of Lake Cliff. I have read all the books at least twice and I swear they get better with each read. The characters are flawed humans but also a bit superhuman. If you want a book with found family, complex chafacters, action, humor, and love, please read this series.
