Words like, edge or your seat, grabbed me by the throat, page turner don't even begin to tell the tale of how great Breaking Hearts is. I fell for those three little girls as much as for Bowie and that is saying a lot because I have been a Bowie fan since the first SEAL Team Heartbreaker book! Only well-developed characters could touch me as Alayna and her girls did; in fact, I found myself reacting to most of the characters whether I liked them or not.
It was discovering Bowie’s background, watching him with Alayna’s family, and understanding what in his past has made him the surface man that he has been outside the teams. His hero complex was no surprise but it was great seeing him openly and emotionally involved! The dangerous and complex situation that Alayna’s husband left her in tugged my heart as well has holding me by the throat!
Of course, I was thrilled to see old friends from the original team reach out to provide support. I can always count on those old friends to come through! Like all the books in the series, this book started with Bowie’s strongest memory of part of the day when Brett was injured. Knowing who was responsible made observing how each man acted even more poignant than the earlier memories.
Breaking Hearts brings the number of the books in the series I love to a perfect 8 counting the novella.

The seventh book in Teresa J. Reasor SEAL TEAM Heartbreakers series gives us Navy SEAL Lieutenant Bowie Rivera story. An unexpected run in with the woman who broke his heart when they were teenagers barely leaves Bowie time to process his feelings before he is having to save her from an attempted kidnapping.
Alayna Wieland pushed Bowie away all those years ago to save his life from her father and brother. As soon as she could she left home and wanted to get a law degree but that got sideline when she got married and had 3 girls. Now divorced and struggling to support her kids after her ex embezzled a lot of money from the wrong people and are now coming after her and her kids to get to him.
With the cops more interested in nailing her ex for the embezzlement instead of protecting her and her girls, Bowie steps up as their protector.
A good mixture of romance and suspense. As this is the last story of the men from the original Seal Team that started the series except for traitor Derrick Armstrong - I am hoping his story is finally next.

Absolutely loved it
Wow, I think this is my favorite book in this series. I absolutely love Bowie. He and Alayna both chose not to be defined by their parents. I sincerely hope that this is not the last book in the series. I have to know what happens when Derrick Armstrong is released from prison.

Bowie and Alayna's story is somewhat heartbreaking, so they more than deserve their HEA. This story felt so real because there have been so many people in real life who have had to endure those same hateful biases, domestic violence, or got in to deep with bad people. This book is loaded and gives you so much suspense and drama. This is one of my favorite series!

This book is great. It has strong, warm, wonderful characters, lots of suspense, some action scenes, and love renewed. And I loved the kids. I totally enjoyed this story!!!

Finally Bowie
Loved Bowie from the beginning. It was so good to get his story. I loved that they had a strong shared past. Both the h/H were strong and resilient. All around great story.
