Isn't it time you started treating yourself with the same love, kindness and respect, you give the other important people in your life? So many people are looking outside of themselves for ways to feel good on the inside. The truth is, although they are the only person who can build their confidence up, the way they think and act is doing nothing but tearing it down.
The Daily Promise invites you to make small daily changes to the way you treat yourself; changes that will build your confidence, nurture your self esteem and ultimately leave you with more energy to do what you want to do and be who you want to be. Based on the best-selling book, The Kindness Pact and its Eight Promises, this collection of inspirational messages will leave you feeling good about who you are and the life you live.
The Daily Promise is a thoughtful and uplifting collection of reflections that encourages you to appreciate life through small, achievable changes in mindset. Rather than offering unrealistic promises of constant happiness, Domonique Bertolucci focuses on practical ways to build gratitude, resilience, and self-awareness into everyday life.
I enjoyed the bite-sized format, which made it easy to dip in and out whenever I had a few spare minutes. Many of the entries felt reassuring and served as gentle reminders of things I already knew but needed to hear again. The writing is warm, accessible, and easy to relate to.
While some of the advice became a little repetitive and not every daily promise resonated with me, there were plenty of moments that made me pause and reflect. Overall, it's an encouraging read that's well suited to anyone looking for a little daily positivity without feeling overwhelmed by lengthy self-help books.
The Daily Promise falls flat for me, mostly because there is barely anything to it. Each promise is so short that it reads more like a one line caption than an actual idea worth sitting with. There is almost no explanation, context, or reasoning behind any of the points, so nothing really lands or sticks. It feels stretched thin to hit the 100 mark, with quantity chosen over any real substance. Disappointing if you were hoping for something you could actually chew on.
Did the audiobook for this and honestly not terrible as but basically reads like a Pinterest quote board and nothing new or inspiring about it to me really
Found a few pointers that are on point to what is going on at the moment. A very nice book about (how to have) that positive outlook in life.
One of my favorites: "The better you take care of yourself, the better you are able to take care of the other important people in your life." Worth the read. 👏👏👏
This book is truly inspiring, the kind that invites multiple readings. It articulates points for every feeling or thought, engaging your mind on every page. Highly recommended!
