I’m going to lead with I have #407 of 1000 (the first printing), it is special enough that the origins have relevance. At the time I ordered it, actually eating there was just a dream - now I have reservations for May 13. What can I say - the writing and photography is art, and reading the book was part of my experience. In a couple months I will begin my long journey from a small Alaskan island in the Bering Sea to Oslo to bring the dream full circle. The world is both enormous and very tiny, and Unalaska, I suspect, has more in common with Norway than differences.
One of those coffee table books you just want to cherish and take in - one picture, story, and recipe at the time. An epic masterpiece, both in terms of content and size.
