As a coach and as someone highly interested in personal development, I really enjoyed reading about a transformational journey of the author, Petros Eshetu. It is truly the description written by an introverted person: it has many details about feelings, beliefs and concerns which arose during transformation. And what I really liked is that the author didn't get stuck with the feelings, but took it into his hands to work with them, do something in life that changes it for better! I admire people who take RESPONSIBILITY and do all possible and impossible to fix the situation themselves without saying that it is other people's fault! No matter if you are an introvert or an extrovert, an immigrant or a native - you gotta read this book to learn how to change your life for better! :)

Although I’m not an introverted I totally got lots of good reflections and even learned more about my self and my own immigrant journey through this book. I totally would recommend it for people that want to better understand the experience of immigrants. Especially the many that like the author, want to not only make a life for themselves in a new country but want to purposefully contribute to the new society they migrate to.

Emotional for me

As an introvert, I connect with the author's experience. The book is a life guide for introverts or anyone who sometimes doubts their own abilities or want to improve relationship with others.

I liked THE INTROVERTED IMMMIGRANT'S JOURNEY because it was not a list of "To Do" items that might seem detached and overwhelming. Rather it is a genuine account of Petros's coming home to Self. He immediately connects to the reader and keeps his story moving.

I particularly like the questions he poses throughout his book so that the reader can stop and relate the context to their situation, explore where they are, and evaluate their needs. THE INTROVERTED IMMIGRANT'S JOURNEY is an inspiration to us all because each of us have parts of our lives that need closer scrutiny and adjustment. Petros's honesty allows the reader to see his imperfections through his narrative and the honest story of his self-discovery.

THE INTROVERTED IMMIGRANT'S JOURNEY contained two quotes that resonated strongly with my truth. The first was from the master of change, Abraham Maslow, "What is necessary to change a person is awareness of himself" and the second quote was in my favorite chapter "Emotions Rule Our World", Chapter 5. Petros states, "Humans are emotional creatures. Nothing gets done without emotions getting involved". I recommend this quick-moving story. It is fun and brings possibility and hope to everyone's life
