A well organized resource for familiarizing yourself with the bones, muscles, joints and systems of the human body. This interactive guide explains in depth "where they are" and "what they do" while using different yoga poses to visualize. An added bonus -- flashcards are included at the end for easy reference. The index is also quite impressive.

It was fun coloring but the drawings are very confusing to actually learn anatomy accurately from.

Learning anatomy through coloring really helps me learn the anatomy. I do find that I need another resource to color the body landmarks properly, but that helps me learn them even better. I was disappointed by some grammatical and spelling errors, especially mixing the words breath and breathe. The spelling and grammatical errors are few and far between, but they do detract from the content of the book. The book is more colloquial than I would have imagined, but I do love learning this way. I hope Ms. Solloway doesn't mind that I copied two poses so I could color them, then frame them and give them to my fellow 200 hour YTT students and my instructor as graduation gifts.

I find the flash cards to be a thoughtful addition. I am glad Solloway included them.

The layout of this book annoyed me at times. For example, I thought pages 25 and 26 would be improved if they were switched, because the text of the paragraph at the end of the page is broken up, which is difficult for the reader. I felt the same about two later pages as well. In addition, for a coloring book, having the images to color split across a page break is difficult. It is difficult to color across the spine of the book. In some cases, merely rotating the image 90 degrees would solve the problem. I know it would create some other formatting challenges, but it would be of great benefit to those trying to color the images. Furthermore, having the images go so far into the binding poses another problem altogether.
