the historical look-back at the development of flight is well researched. the running timeline at the bottom of the pages is a great idea! barry moser's illustrations are the real reason to buy this book.

Very fun. The art is fantastic and the brief (VERY BRIEF--think 2 paragraphs each page) history is interesting and makes you want to know more.

There is "more" in the back of the book, under Historical Notes, but when I went to the section I wanted to read more about, it wasn't really ABOUT Amelia Earhart, it was just about random historical flight stuff centering around women. Which is fine, just not what I was expecting.

I like that there's actually substance to this book. Before I return it to the library, I'm going to give it to my 8-year-old to read. I think she'll like it.
