I've been testing out this devotional for a few weeks and Ive really enjoyed it! It's short, concise messages lift up the spirit and give you a fresh dose of encouragement. Each devotion gives you scripture, a message, and a prayer. These are not long and don't dive too deep, they are perfect as 'snack size' devotionals to use periodically throughout your day to keep your head and heart in the right place. With topics such as Wisdom, Faith, Prayer, Encouragement, Love, Joy, and more - there is something for every woman to draw encouragement from. This devotional will be out in September! While I am touched by the reviews of those who were helped and inspired by this book, I know there are better devotionals out there. All those different "Bible" versions are confusing and some are truly misleading. If I want a glass of water, I want pure water not almost water or a man made imitation of water, or a new and improved water! I realize we have to start somewhere and God knows that. Why read a paraphrased "Bible" when you can read the real thing? Because a dear friend gave me this book I read it but simply looked up all the references in my KJV. It was awkward at times but helped me find chapters in order. If you truly want deep devotionals check out E.M. Bounds, Andrew Murray , Watchman Nee, A W. Tozer, I'm sure there are many more. We don't want anyone discouraged by a book that's too difficult but surely there's a better one out there than this.

For the uninitiated, devotional books such as this can be a wonderful start to a day or serve as an evening reflection. They usually feature a scripture verse or two, and make a thoughtful and wise point to ponder. Each day there is a new pearl to consider. There are many, many types from which to choose. This one was a gift, and I have enjoyed going through it this year--I skipped ahead every now and then, so I have already finished it. Although it claims to be for women, I didn't really find anything to make it gender specific. Just good words of wisdom from the Bible and commentary to accompany them. Daily devotional reading is a great discipline to undertake, at least as important as physical exercise, if not more so!

This book gives you two daily scriptures to encourage prayer and devotion for your day. You are able to go back at the end of the day and reflect on the promises of the scriptures that you read in the beginning of the day. As a woman you are renewed each and everyday. This book would make a great gift for those new to devotional readings and those that are already with scripture readings.

Devotionals are one of my favorite types of books and there are many out for reading. I enjoyed this devotional as it gave the bible verse, a short devotional and a prayer. I found the prayer a very welcome addition. Thanks to NetGalley, the author and the publisher for the ARC of this book in return for my honest review.

This is a very nice daily devotional. Every woman needs this book, it covers such a wide variety of subjects. It has bible verses, a short devotional and a prayer to give you encouragement for the day. This would make a great gift. Thank you Barbour Publishing via NetGalley for the ARC copy of this book. This is my honest opinion of this book.

How awesome to have such incredible, touching devotionals for each day of the year! If you're looking for a scripture centered devotional for women, this is the book for you!

Everyday Bible Promises for Women compiled by Barbour Staff. I had such high hopes for this book, which unfortunately it did not live up too. This book has a number of different daily small topics with a Bible verse followed by an author thought and short prayer afterward. Each day is easily read in just a few minutes.
A variety of different Bible versions are used including “The Message” which is an extremely iffy translation at best. The use of this version is just one example of the squishy theology contained within this book. I was truly amazed at how wrong the theology was in some of the daily devotionals, especially considering the short length of each one.
Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this book at all. There are so many good daily devotional books available, there is absolutely no need to read one that is filled with bad theology. I wish there was an actual author named and not just a generic “compiled by Barbour staff”.

This was my first book by this author, It was lovely!. If you love scriptures, I think you will enjoy this book. It was alltogether an easy read. And I love anything that is encouraging ♡ I give this book a

This is a nice easy daily devotional. It has some good verses and commentary, but if you are looking for something with depth, I would look elsewhere. I like my devotionals to really make me think about or see things in a new way. This one just skimmed the surface but did not go deeper.
