This books is heavy on coolness and short on words. I think though the words are few it is best enjoyed by taking your time to look over the amazing covers of 300 Wonder Woman issues. My biggest complaint with it, is I feel if it was double the size 2.5 x 1.1 x 3.5 it would be a perfect 5 stars! I am a huge Batman fan and own the 3 volumes of this and when I saw this on sale I snatched it up. For the price of $11.99 its steep unless you are a hardcore Wonder Woman fan, but if on sale I think its a must grab for comic art lovers. The most interesting aspect to me was the transformation of boots in the Golden Age to heeled shoes in the Silver Age! Okay...well the most "interesting" twist is the costume change in the Bronze Age of comics to an outfit I feel is unrecognizable that it's Wonder Woman. Still...a big part of the history and loads of fun to look at!
I think the bookstore may have sent me this because they were out of Wonder Woman coloring books, which I was sending to prisoners because female (at least) prisoners like adult coloring books and books about crochet. Or so I'm told. The retrospective covers are wonderful. There is a poster shop from which you can buy Wonder Woman for President, and they back it with aluminum and magnets so it is very sturdy, but expensive. I have a library association related poster of Wonder Woman which I will probably back with poster board and hang in the bedroom or living room of my new apartment.
