A very nice devotional that will last a year. A devotion that doesn't take a lot of time and could be taken anywhere with you. Just enough to refresh your spirit and give you an extra lift that you need to go on with your day. And who doesn't need spiritual refreshment daily?

If you need a "what to read on a specific day" Bible reading plan, this can work. If you already read your Bible daily and wanted a quick something to go alongside it, this might be it. If you're wanting a devotional that expands on your daily Bible readings, this probably isn't it. This truly is just a fee scriptures listed one each (dated) page and then a paragraph of some "words of encouragement." Everyone has various seasons of what appeals to them in a book at the time as well as seasons for where they are currently at in their walk with the Lord. My current season for both didn't personally make this book call out to me. But, as it is, there's absolutely nothing wrong with the book, could be a very nice addition to any women's morning Bible time or in a homeschooling mother's Morning Basket, etc. This would also make a nice gift for fellow women in your church, book club, or mother's group.

I love this book. The bible plan is very straight forward. This book would be a very good gift for people that need a reading plan. The words of encouragement was also a welcome addition. Thanks to NetGalley and the publishers for the ARC of this book in return for my honest review.

This daily devotional is spiritually fulfilling. Each entry is a realistic length to tackle each day. The theology seems sound, though I’m not an expert. Each devotion made me feel refreshed and hopeful. A great resource.

The staff of Barbour Publishing compiled a 365-day devotional which is combined with a Bible reading plan under the title "Everyday Spiritual Refreshment for Women" with the goal that women engage in the life-changing journey of regularly reading the bible and to finish reading the Bible in one year. The reader who is using this Bible reading plan and devotional has to invest about 15 - 30 minutes per day. The plan includes an Old Testament reading, a New Testament reading, and a reading of a Psalm or Proverb as well as an encouraging devotional thought which is highlighting a Bible promise from the daily reading. The Bible verse which is used for this thought is quoted, the used Bible translation marked with the corresponding abbreviation. The graphics from the cover page is repeated throughout the book and makes the book attractive.
I recommend the book for women of every age and situation of life who want to have a concise word of encouragement with their daily reading plan and who want to engage to read the Bible in one year. It is not recommended for readers who are looking for a detailed study of the Bible text.

I love devotional books that lift your spirit but can be a quick morning or nightly read. This devotional was everything I was looking for. It is great for young adults to old. It gives a bible scripture and and a nice devotion for each day. I am actually going to give a few copies to loved one and friends as gifts. I received a copy from the publisher through Goodreads for a review.
