Renowned crystal expert Philip Permutt reveals the amazing ability of crystals to heal and energize and introduces 250 new crystals in the eagerly anticipated follow-up to his best-selling book, The Crystal Healer .
This fantastic essential guide explores diverse ways of working with crystals, some ancient and some new, and explains how we are getting a better understanding of how crystals work thanks to current research. The color-coded crystal finder introduces 250 new crystals, some of which have only been discovered since the publication of the first book and others which have become more widely available. Also included is a guide to crystal remedies—search by ailment or symptom to find the crystal best suited to facilitate healing.
How can I ever fault Philip? His books have helped grow my crystal knowledge and also understand crystals better.
What makes this book a little different from his first The Crystal Healer is that there are added goodies like crystal shapes, animal carvings and meanings as well as Advanced Crystal Healing Techniques which includes some healing layouts and guidelines.
As usual, the crystals are arranged by their colour which is ALWAYS so incredibly helpful. What I did notice is that there are quite a few crystals from South Africa in this volume which makes me super happy because that's where I'm from and I had no idea that we had such super cool crystals from here. It's like finding new treasure now!
Also what's included, which is again super helpful, is the Crystal remedies for physical and emotional challenges as well as spiritual and lifestyle enhancement.
If you ever want a book that will teach you in ways you never thought possible, then Philip's Crystal Healer volumes are where you should start! You WON'T regret it!
This is a fascinating manual for healers and crystal lovers alike. It is full of practical knowledge and introduces the reader to a number of more recently discovered crystals. I particularly like the in-depth links between colour and crystals which run throughout the book as well as the frequent cross-references to chakras. These make it a practical and helpful guide for self-healing. It’s also easy to follow, especially for novices in crystal healing. The book also gives good examples of advanced crystal healing practices, though I admit they could be challenging if the person is not properly tuned to crystals or healing itself. I love ‘The Crystal Finder’ chapter because it explores not only the properties of single crystals but also of clusters and crystals with inclusions. The final chapter ‘Crystal Remedies’ is really cleverly organised according to the different layers of healing (body, psyche and soul). Here Philip Permutt suggests the appropriate crystal to treat a number of conditions. For anyone passionate about crystals or who wants to discover more about new crystals, this is the volume to have.
Yes, here I am, reviewing another crystal book because I keep having questionable weekends with the yoga community, and this was another comprehensive guide presented in an excellent way! I did deduct a star for three things that left a bad taste in my mouth, though. One: the author claimed that a specific crystal could alleviate all chronic pain, and that’s just a big ole nope. Two: this was in the first volume, too, but he promotes drinking water with crystals in it, and there’s just such a level of danger in that that I can’t participate in. And three: one of the “good” qualities of a crystal was “aids in weight loss”, and I think I don’t need to add anything onto why that bothered me. But they were really small instances, and the rest of the book more than made up for it, so still something I’d recommend!
