So! Although I have read other people’s
manga before, and have been a huge anime fan for a while, this What is the first official manga book I ever bought. Weiss has been my favorite character sens I saw the White intro for the first time, So needless to say I am very picky of how she is represented 😂
This book rather than being a Single journey, is a collection of short stories, made by various manga artists, So naturally there were a number of good stories, and a number of stories that could’ve used some improvements.

Pros: Beautiful art by all the artists! The characters were represented well, and it did feel like I was watching a mini episode of Ruby. Weiss was portrayed perfectly! Cold, focused and sassy on the outside, sweet, considerate and very empathetic on the inside :) I like that you got to see a little more into her head then the anime series, so this was definitely a nice treat overall.

Cons: Although there were some good stories, they were also a considerable amount of stories that either didn’t make sense, ended on a strange note, or just could’ve been better. And although I like the fact that they expressed her appreciation for her team, seem to like that was the subject for prettymuch every story 😂 don’t get me wrong, it was very touching and I was moved for the first few stories. But after getting halfway through the book I kind of wanted something new 😅 again, I understand this was done by different artists, so please take this with a grain of salt. But although this was a nice treat, it didn’t come without a bitter aftertaste from time to time.

Overall: I would have to say I enjoyed this Manga very much! It is a quick read, definitely one of those books that you would want if you’re looking for a feel good, Or light hearted read :) if your huge Wise fan, you won’t be disappointed ☺️

With all that being said, this manga gets a three star rating for me. ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Intro:
Weiss is probably my favorite member of team RWBY, so a manga dedicated to her was nice to read. Especially since her tsudare nature provides alot of opportunities for humor.

Because the anathogy seires seems to more the sictom side of Rwby, I have a feeling this volume of the anathogy seires will probably turn out to be my personal favorite,  Because of Weiss's prominence. Since the humor of weiss seiriousness tends to be my favorite part of RWBY's sitcon side.

If your a fan of Lucky Star and Rwby then I'd recommend this manga anathogy series to you. The dynamic between Weiss and Ruby is very reminiscent of the relationship between Konata and Kagami.

The reason is give this manga 4 stars instead of 5, is that like in the first volume Yang and Blake are a little flat and generic straitmen to Ruby and Weiss's antics. Yang was alittle more her boisterous self, which was nice inprovement to see. I still do not think the authors have captured Blade's aloof yet passionate personality. And her cat like attitude, other then one fish joke. So I hope they do that in volune 3.

Conculsion:
Overall I really liked this manga it was very cute, and I've been missing Rwby since season 7 ended. Only a week and half to go till the first episode if season 8 airs. So this was a nice little manga to get me hyped for season 8.

P. S.  It was nice to see characters like professor good witch, neptune and sun again.

I bought the second book for my husband but of course I had to read it after he finished it! I am not a such a big fan of RWBY as he is, but I still love reading the manga and the other stories on paper. This book is all about Weiss Schnee. From short to longer stories. A few 4-komas are also found. I had such a laugh at all that happened, though I was also a bit sad given Weiss's family (especially her father who never had that much attention for her). I loved seeing the friendship between the girls and also see them get closer/form more of a team. I had a big big laugh at the stories featuring cookies (one I am sure is Ruby's way to bribe Weiss to get her to help with a project while the other meant deadly cookies). I love the various art for each story. Some I was more of a fan than others but in general I liked them all and it is always fun to see what the next story has for art.
Next year I got to get the next volume!

CW:

I liked this a bit more than the first collection!

I feel like we got some real character studies of Weiss! What makes her act the way she does, how does her childhood shape her character, where does her attitude come from and are some people just misunderstanding her?

There obviously are still some silly stories, but I feel the overall vibe was more about exploring Weiss as a fully shaped character.

There were some stories that liked to explore Weiss’ relationship to different character, not only just in the group setting and I really liked that!

Again: most of the stories are extremely short and therefore just don’t have the space to tell a story properly, so most of these are just vignettes.

Here, I also noticed that the anthology got produced after season three: since the artists aren’t involved in the making of RWBY itself, there were some inconsistencies with canon

“RWBY Official Manga Anthology 2: Mirror, Mirror” is a manga anthology by multiple manga artists centered on Weiss Schnee from Rooster Teeth & Monty Oum’s RWBY computer animated (western anime) series. This is definitely light reading & is vignette character stories. Not super plot driven, but fun for any fan of the show (especially any fan of Weiss). The comics vary in length & center mostly around school life, her team & relationship with the other 3 girls, or her relationship with her sister. Perfect for anyone who enjoys calming slice of life stories. The artwork is beautiful. The only two comics I didn’t adore were one centered on Weiss possibly gaining weight (seemed very out of place & a little thoughtless for a character going to a combat school) & the final collection of super-chibified four-panel comics that just weren’t to my artistic sense. The latter weren’t bad, just not for me. All in all, glad I read & I look forward to reading the other anthologies & comics. 💜

This was just so lovely and cute. I liked seeing her journey and how she has grown and accepted team RWBY into her life.

How could I not love this? It's more wonderful RWBY shorts to hold me over until the premiere of Volume 6 in October (omg it feels so far away!).

I have my favorites out of the short stories (I always do), but I think my ultimate favorite is one where Weiss and Blake talk. It's just after the end of Volume 1 where, spoiler alert, Blake is revealed to be Faunus. Weiss has her prejudices against them (not necessarily Blake but Faunus in general). This is an incredibly sweet moment where Weiss confronts her fears and Blake. A lesson in diversity and accepting people's differences—because we're really not that different in the end—in a manga? Yeah, I was surprised, too. Don't worry, though. If you're concerned that the content is a little too heavy and thought-provoking, Yang lightens the mood at the end.

Roman, Cinder, Emerald, and Mercury all make brief appearances.

Other than that, there are some funny stories (Weiss tries baking cookies); some meta humor, apparently there's an artist who forgets to draw Weiss' earrings; sweet moments between Weiss and her team (especially Ruby). I loved "RWBY No Doubt: Weiss"—especially the "Let's Study" flash story in that section (is that what you call a manga story that's only three or four panels?).

My second favorite story, though, is the last one (before RWBY No Doubt: Weiss). It's a very sweet moment between Weiss and Winter, but also Weiss and her team. It really depicts how much Weiss has grown and also how much her team cares for her. It's the perfect note in which to end the volume.

A solid 5/5 stars.

Weiss gets her own volume of short stories that reveal the difficulties in her past and why/how she has cultivated her ice princess personality, and the relationship between the team members is explored further. Once again, I am reminded of how much I relate to Blake (as always), and hope she gets her own volume in time as well.

The "Weiss Attack" is hilarious, and I can't really think of a better use for inedible homemade cookies, although Weiss was horrified. There is more than one way to avert a crisis, and making use of chocolate chip cookies baked by Weiss is one of them. Zwei is super adorable and yes, looking a little plump . . . the only annoying aspect was Weiss' focus (for one story) on becoming 'hot' like Winter. I like how she idolizes her sister, but not when she idolizes her physical endowments like that. Sorry, Weiss, you just might not grow a set of giant boobs and an overblown hourglass figure like her, but you're still worthy of attention for your more important 'attributes.'

I'm very shocked to have gone through my reviews and realized I never actually posted my original review for this. Either that, or it was somehow swallowed up by the æther and never saved over the placeholder brackets.

To keep this short and sweet, I wasn't expecting to love Weiss's volume in this set of anthologies as much as I did. There's a lot of light-hearted fun in this volume, to be sure, but among the brighter parts, the creators that collaborated did a nice job of exploring Weiss's character growth and change that we see start in the end of the first volume. Whether or not you're all that interested in reading these anthologies as a RWBY fan, I do recommend reading this one. It's absolutely worth it.

(SPOILERS)
The releases of this Anthology, alongside other RoosterTeeth books all center around a hit animation series titled, RWBY. Started by Monty Oum, RWBY is a series centered around the world of Remnant trying to keep the balance of Justice and Chaos. The protagonists of the story, Ruby, Weiss, Blake, and Yang were introduced as students attending at their Academy that trains students to become Huntresses. In Weiss’s anthology, many stories, though quite repetitive, capture the early struggles that she went through throughout her childhood and some even show how Weiss alludes to the character “Snow White”. Weiss Schnee is one of the main protagonists of the story and part of team RWBY. When first meeting Weiss on screen, many viewers such as myself thought of her as a “cold stuck-up princess” like character, and not taking too much of a liking to her. While I believe that her aggression towards others isn’t considered justifiable, as I learned more about her, Weiss appeared to be more relatable than I had originally thought. As someone who had high expectations from her strict father, it shows why Weiss wants to excel in the academy and why she’s so cold towards her peers, thus, is given the nickname “The snow queen” in the early series. In the series, we can see that Weiss had and has expressed extreme character development when she leaves the academy with team RWBY as to contrast when we saw her at the beginning. Although in her anthology, not any of the stories seem to capture that idea, it would make a big impact on the audience to read more about how “Miss snow queen” developed further in the nearby future.

This anthology is an enjoyable read, if a little repetitive. I thoroughly enjoyed the first half of the book with stories highlighting Weiss' love-hate relationship with her BFF and team leader Ruby (though the book really dives headfirst into the White Rose ship). Even more pleasing were the looks into her past before attending Beacon Academy and the respectful, lionizing bond she has for her older sister, Winter. But as I kept reading, I found the stories to only ever focus on those two aspects of her character. There were exceptions: She has a bonding episode with Yang and one with Blake, and there was a team mystery in which Weiss was sneaking around at night and the rest of the team had to find out what she was up to. Considering how well fleshed-out her character is in the main series, I was hoping for a more varied mix of stories. That said, the ones that are given are solid and will make fans of RWBY's "Best Girl" happy.

While I very much enjoyed the first one of these, this one I didn't so much. And the reason for that is because it basically just enforces how one dimensional Weiss is as a character. There are like what, 20 different artists doing original Weiss stories, and I want to say a good 3rd of them are pretty much the same thing: Weiss is spoiled, but lonely. She thinks her team is immature, but then realizes how great it is to have a friend like Ruby. This seriously happens like 5 times if not more.

Which is a shame because if you have been keeping up with the show the characters are really starting to show some depth. Weiss was, admittedly, always my least favorite character of the 4, but this anthology really just kinda resounds to me as to why. Still glad I read it, but more excited for the next 2.

Weiss Schnee, my beloved Ice Queen. 💙

It's an analogy of short manga stories. It has some content, but it's not a deep exploration of a character. Which is fine, so long as you know that's what you're in for. So for what it is, I really enjoyed it. If you like Weiss Schnee, this is a worthwhile read.

Very good interpretations of Weiss and her inner thoughts. Some wholesome and fluffy content, and just enough funny jokes. The art styles are diverse and all look professional to me, although you can tell there are some better artists than others.

Fun and cute for Weiss Fans

This one waa alright. You did get an in-depth look into Weiss's life and feelings. She loves her sister and her friends. Especially Ruby. She technically changes because of her. Without them I don't think she would develop properly as a good character. I say check this one out.

Really a 3.5, because I did enjoy this one more than the last! Again, loved the art styles, and I liked seeing Winter! My favorite story was the one with Yang, which I think helps show how less repetitive the stories got with this volume. (I am also glad to see a bit less of the blatant shipping that the last volume was filled with!)

Book 2 in the RWBY anthology collection follows Ice Queen Weiss Schnee as she navigates her inner emotions and learning to become part of a team.

Each chapter is unique and show how Weiss really does struggle to trust others completely after her upbringing saw her develop alone and in private.

A good read and addition to RWBY-law.

I thought the next adaptation of the RWBY series was great. The nice thing about these are that it doesn’t matter what order you read them and you don’t have to read all of them. I would recommend the you at least watch RWBY until volume 3 because there are continuities and spoilers from those previous volumes. I’m excited to read the next one, “From Shadows”.

This volume talks about Weiss and this was great. It really helped me to embrace Weiss's character especially since she was not my favorite. I liked this but not as much as Ruby's because it wasnt as cohesive with random short stories going out of order in timelines especially when it came to her past. Because of these points I have to give this a 3.5 out of 5 stars.

Once again, the good, the boring, and the ugly. The good. stories like Weiss going gaga trying to get a smoking hot body like her sister Winter and Yang. Boring like too many redoing the anime. And the bad like the dumpling school of art where you can't tell one blob from another until they speak.

Honestly, a great follow up of the first book, I loved the bits with Glynda and Ozpin, they really are who I continue the series for, along with James, Bartholomew and Qrow. The brief glimpse of Bartholomew had me so happy and excited. Great read.

I feel like the selections in Anthology #2 are just a slight cut above the ones in #1. There were still a couple I didn't resonate with but overall I have to give it five stars, just for the gorgeous art and the care taken with her stories and characterizations.

I liked this volume way better. I love that we get to see more of Weiss thoughts and fears and anxieties from, like a, first person perspective. It made me laugh and it's hella cute. A lot of cute White Rose moments. They melted me. I love them all so much.
