An ancient esoteric object, once used by Elizabethan Magician John Dee in his infamous occult rituals, attracts a deadly interest from the clandestine world of outsourced military operations and leads Antiquarian and former Scottish Military hero, Tavish Stewart, to uncover a global conspiracy to control world leaders and enslave the whole of humanity.
Stewart's discovery leads him, and his friends, into a race across the globe to locate ancient maps, mysterious lost cities, magical relics and a forgotten civilisation so ancient and advanced that it would rewrite human history. Stewart must use all his Military and Martial Arts expertise to overcome the elite warriors, weapons and technologies that are set against him before a final apocalyptic confrontation in the desolate wastes of Asia, to preserve the greatest secret of all time!
K.R.M. Morgan has encountered some extraordinary individuals during a long career, including Politicians, Bureaucrats, Mad Professors, Spies, Ritual Magicians, Bankers and Media Moguls. Some of them good, some bad and some just bizarre. His experiences form the basis for the complex plots and characters described in his books.
I was gripped from the first page of Bridge Of Souls. If you enjoy an intelligent plot with plenty of action and intrigue, you won't be disappointed. The author KRM Morgan demonstrates a sound background knowledge of history, antiquities, esoteric magic, martial arts and military and counter intelligence services. This is such a visual book it could easily be a film - think James Bond and Jason Bourne. The author has gone to great lengths with his research and this has paid off by making the plot, settings, characters, fight scenes and artefacts completely plausible. Highly recommended. I look forward to the sequel.
A very engrossing and intelligent action-packed thriller. The writing is so visual that I felt as though I was watching a film and it reminded me of a James Bond or Jason Bourne plot. I got the paperback version as I like to read a physical book in bed, and it is quite hefty, being around 500 pages. However, it is excellent quality with a mesmerising cover. Those green eyes pulled me in every time I picked up the book. I enjoyed this book so much I immediately got another copy for my son's birthday and he polished it off in just a few days. Highly recommended and I'm looking forward to the sequel.
A priest, a knight from the North, and a psychiatric patient save the world!
This book is an action packed novel of biblical proportion. The story consists of Stewart a Scottish 007 type agent with stylish cars, weapons and watches. He is drawn into an adventure spanning from Edinburgh to Istanbul. At the same time an exorcist priest is trying to prevent the end of days and teams up with a Donnie Yen type of priest. With remarkable characters helping along the way to the hidden city of the Dinn, this book has plenty of religious facts and history to keep you reading. There is Nissa the powerful female villain with her hawk faced side kick who is also a skilled assassin. The author has done a terrific job putting this book together, I look forward to the sequel and the movie. Just brilliant!!
I received this book for free from the author/publisher in response for an honest review of the book. I have not had the opportunity to read this book at this time. I will add my review of this book once I have read the book. Thank k you for allowing me the optometrist review your work. I look forward to reading this book.
Author K.R.M. Morgan takes you on an epic journey of apocalyptic proportions as ancient prophecies are fulfilled one by one, bringing the world to the edge of destruction by a determined Dr. Nissa Ad-Dajjal, a billionaire villainess who will fulfill her self perceived destiny using any means necessary. Scottish military hero, Sir Tavish Stewart, is an early target of Nissa and the evil masterminds who want him eliminated. Will he be able to survive and prevail against the perfectly orchestrated, world-wide web of evil militia that has infiltrated the major countries of the world, using a cache of deadly technologies and fire power that will destroy civilization as we know it?
A masterful, complex game of survival of the fittest unfolds, as more of the ancient mysticism of the prophecies is unleashed in a struggle to bring the four ancient tiles of secrets together. Tavish and his private network of military and tech savvy colleagues are up against the most evil of villains as governments and religions fall, plagues proliferate, and ancient evils threaten to dominate mankind. Will he meet up with his prophesized team in time to face the ultimate battle of evil versus good? Author Morgan gives the reader an epic, suspense filled tale on the scale of Tom Clancy and Dan Brown works. A spell-binding thriller, highly recommended!
K.R.M. Morgan has crafted an action-adventure novel that will have you racing through the pages. Antiquarian Takisha Stewart has purchased a relic that dates back to John Dee, an Elizabethan magician. It consists of a frame and one of four inserts that bestow an incredible power when they are assembled. There are those who seek to acquire it at any cost. If you enjoy Ted Bell’s Alex Hawk or Novels involving excellent action scenes, you will love Bridge of Souls.
I would like to thank Goodreads for providing a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
I find that I had to abandon this book. While it seems well plotted, I guess I was turned off by the excessive name-dropping details. I felt it ran towards padding to increase the word count, and too much of the "selfie" image so prevalent in the tourist world today. While the book is about a subject I frequently read, this one just didn't grab me.
Bridge of Souls by K.R.M. Morgan is a heady combination of action-thriller and mystery. The opening scene reads like a Bond film and we meet a suave and debonair Scotsman who clearly can handle a heap of trouble and his weaponry of choice, as he manages quite the welcoming party at his home.
The mysteries of the arcane, archaeology and a sexy villain with supernatural powers who also happens to be filthy rich and beautiful is on the chase for something so powerful that it has become as sought after as the Holy Grail and perhaps for quite opposite reasons...
You will feel like you are in the desert, and walking in Rome where yet another mystery unfolds when sworn adversaries team up to fight an evil plot to destroy the world as we know it.
Bond fans, Jason Bourne readers and people like me who are fascinated by ancient archaeology and magical items lost in history will enjoy this descriptive, adrenaline rush of a novel.
