Another year and another well done and entertaining book from the Uncle John’s writers. The little facts at the bottom of the page were just as interesting as the articles. Want to know about Pluto and the planet controversy? It’s here. Quotes. Horse jokes. Old Time Radio Shows. Millenial Slang. Lifestyle Hacks. It’s all here.
A neccessary addition to the series.

The Uncle John Bathroom Reader series is a safe bet. They came up with a format that works well for trivia books with segments of varying lengths so you can pick and choose what to read to fit the time you have. The table of contents breaks the segments up into different general categories and lengths to ease in this picking. The downside is that it can become difficult in remembering what you haven't read already or in just finding one that you haven't read yet. Usually I would jump around until I started spending more time to find an unread story that I just start reading from the front and hitting them all to make sure I have read them all. This time, I just read it like a normal book. It just seemed easier.

Like always, the topics were of varying interest to me (ranging from wow to whatever). It all boils down to if you like trivia, you should enjoy this series. If you enjoyed previous installments of the series, you should have the same reaction to this one.

I won this book in a Goodreads giveaway, and am just now getting around to reviewing it. I used to have a version of Uncle John's Bathroom Reader when I was a kid, although now I have no idea who gave it to me and why. But I remember reading through it and finding all sorts of ridiculous and entertaining facts, and such was the case again with this 31st edition of the book series. My former enthusiasm about learning weird things waned slightly in this version, simply because I wasn't interested in some of the longer entries in this book, but I can certainly recognize that the Bathroom Readers Institute has done a ton of research to include all sorts of silly historical, scientific and pop culture facts. For that reason, it was still a fun book to read, a little bit at a time, to find some cool new information.

Average Bathroom Reader. For the 31st edition...one would expect a better set of facts. I sure hope they aren’t running out of ideas!

Informative and interesting as usual. A good read for everyone that has a little time on their hands - whether "occupied" or not.

I always have a fun time with these books. I get the latest every year as a Christmas present from my amazing wife. This one didn't disappoint. I always wish some of the stories would be made into novels or films. I'd love to find out if the Dooners or Uppers win the ba' this year.
