This book got a good review, and the synopsis was also intriguing, so I decided to try it. However, after reading it for ~110 pages, I gave up. This book is not as good as other people claimed. This is just acceptable in my opinion, partially because I do not like the plot. However, the thing that troubled me the most is how the writer wrote the details. The writer wrote too many coincidences to happen for the sake of the leading female character and that ruins the story. For example,
1. The leading female character knew the ancient script and its history from her grandfather, who was a scholar. 2. She also knew how to cure Malaria with local herbs from her grandmother. 3. Despite being an accountant, she also knew chemistry enough to make a bomb.
It seemed that this universe was in love with her so much that it dropped every solution she needed from the sky. That did not help with the story and it bored me.
