Rate this book
Ms. Peabody has seen the future and it is encompassed by a cataclysmic event, something set in place aeons ago. But is it something that can be changed; for all know that the past cannot be altered?

Henry Ian Darling has stumbled into a mire of oddness, one filled with demons and one in which he must venture if he is to stop that possible future – but how can he do the impossible?

Time is against them, though Time has its own rules, so Henry knows it’s unfeasible, but also knows he has to strive forward as he always does.

I cannot ignore my dreams, so many of them, with names and places and ideas that spark my imagination and compel me to write; to create stories, whether fantasy or horror, or mystery or psychological thriller or murder or even humour and adventure. So, my garden is sown, flourishing, with all manner of growth, and still the dreams come.

Julie Elizabeth Powell, my soul lingering within my imagination; maybe you’ll join me?

Weird: A Henry Ian Darling Oddity: Missive Four by Julie Elizabeth Powell

Henry and his friend are back again in the fourth installment of the Weird series. Ms. Peabody has seen the future and things are about to get strange. Enter Henry who is about to endure odd events and tackle demons in order to save (possibly change) the future. Will he be able to pull this off, what will happen to Ms. P? Henry is determined to do the impossible!

A fantastic story that moves at a steady pace. An original (fun) plot with totally lovable characters. I loved Henry from book one, and just keep wanting to be part of his "Odd" world. Julie Elizabeth Powell knows how to bring her characters to life, pulling the reader deep into the story. I really enjoyed Weird: A Henry Ian Darling Oddity: Missive Four And strongly recommend to those who love a great (supernatural/fantasy) read.

Henry’s story is certainly a “weird” one. It’s not every day one finds himself facing the challenge of nothing less than saving the world, or a future world to be precise. But Henry is no ordinary man himself and, together with his wife Clara and their magical helper they travel into what one can only perceive as a very real hell - demons, fire pit, and foul smell included - to get a magical Chalice and prevent the inevitable.
Julie Powell’s setting is what I love the most about her works. The fantasy worlds that she creates never cease to amaze me and make me feel completely immersed in the story, “seeing” and “feeling” everything the characters experience. Humor, added in all the right places, makes “Weird” an even more delightful read, and I admit, I didn’t want it to end. Vividly-written and imaginative, this story is a perfect choice for all fans of the genre. Five stars.

You know I'm always going to give my books five stars, for if I didn't believe in my work, how could I expect others to enjoy it?

This time, Henry is in mire with demons...

It's strange how characters dictate how my stories should go; it always surprises me what happens. Yep, I'm as weird as my stories.

I like Henry Ian Darling and think he's a unique character, who's surrounded by other great characters, mystery and oddities. I hope you like him, too, and consider leaving a review if you want to help spread the word about my amazing work.

There now, is that enough to tempt you?

Thanks :)
