Australian, Nikki Logan, lives on the edge of a string of wetlands south of Perth, Western Australia with her partner and a menagerie of animals. She writes captivating, nature-based stories full of romance in descriptive natural environments for Harlequin Enterprises and Entangled Publishing. She believes the danger and richness of wild places perfectly mirror the passion and risk of falling in love.
Nikki wrote her first full-length book in 2007 ('Wild Encounter' a romantic suspense set in the wilds of Zambia amidst the wildlife smuggling industry) when she needed a project to fill six months of accrued annual leave. Well and truly bitten by the writing-bug, she wrote a number of category-length novels after her return to work and hasn’t stopped since. She’s written fifteen books for Harlequin and now Entangled as well.
Nikki’s determined to reveal through her writing what she finds so enriching, courageous and tenacious about wildlife. Writing nature-based romance is the perfect opportunity to blend what she loves reading with what she loves doing and maybe sneak beautiful creatures and their environments into fertile reader imaginations all over the world through beautiful love stories.
A well written, very compelling read with some interesting twists. I liked the heroine Tash. she is a glass blower artist. she is strong and proactive. She has daddy issues but a sweet and strong bond with her mom. That's why grieving her mom's death, and after reading her diaries, Tash tries to contact her mom one and only love Nathaniel ( hero 's father). Little does she know she is reopening old wounds and families feud. Due to his parents dysfunctional marriage, the Hero Aiden is an emotionally crippled playboy who doesn't do relationships ( no surprise here ). And he refuses to fight his family for Tash. He is too passive for my liking. Leaving Tash to fight for them.
here i am agaiiiin...dgn buku lain dr Nikki Logan...seorang penulis yg bkin saya penasaran sm cerita nya hehehehe..
sbelum nya aku udah baca buku nya yg how to get over your ex,buku itu tdak mninggalkan kesan luar biasa bagi saya tetapi buku yg satu ini..ckup berkesan :D
stidak nya ap yg kurang d buku sbelumnya terpenuhi d buku ini...plot cerita d buku ini mnarik, mlibatkan perseteruan keluarga...mksud saya perseturuan antara keluarga Moore dan keluarga Porter, kmudian stelah 20 thun berlalu Natasha Sinclair yakni anak dr seorang Porter mmbaca diari ibunya yg mnjalin hbungan dgn keluarga Moore,Natasha merasa ad yg ganjil dr diari ibunya tersebut shingga ia myelediki nya dan mndapatkan sesuatu yg mngejutkan...saya juga ckup mnikmati dialog dialog yg cerdas d buku ini krn smakin mnambah smangat saya untuk mnyelesaikan buku ini...hehehe
It was hard to get a good read on Aiden. For most of the book, he was a jerk and toward the end he became a decent person - only to have the book end. So, I needed more time to really see his 180. And believe in it.
However, I am becoming quite a fan of Ms. Logan even with all the Australian vernacular.
Wow! I really liked this book. Tash Sinclair has to meet the man her mother loved for more than twenty years. A man who married her friend. This also leads to meeting his son, Aiden Moore.
Though they come from two different worlds, and a long lasting family feud, they are able to work through tough times and finally forge a relationship of their own. There are some surprising twists and turns that really make the book a page-turned. Very good characters and situations.
Natasha Sinclair didn’t know a lot about the man mentioned in her mother’s diaries, but she did recognise the tone of his voice when he left a message on her mum’s phone. There was no mistaking it, he loved her. It’s a shame that the woman who loved him back all her life would never get to hear it. Read More
In retrospect I should have given it 2.5 stars simply because it is not memorable and on thinking about it the title has barely anything to do with the book itself. There were some hot scenes (I think) and an ok development between protagonists but otherwise nothing quite worthy pf 4 stars. Hmm. Mustve ended on a high note. So lets say 3 instead of the original 4 I gave.
Nikki Logan es una de las mejores para las historias con drama, ay, me encanto está... me acuesto tarde pero feliz, con un Aiden tan tozudo se requiere una mujer firme y que lleve el mando.
No estuvo mal.
Meh. Wasn't really in to the backstory but wasn't until Tash believed Nathaniel was her father that I lost interest. I finished it but won't read again.
