There was just so much right about this book for me that it overshadowed the few things I did not like as well as a little too much drama and introspection for a Blaze title. I liked it in the end, though. The characters were sexy, funny, and very intelligent. An intelligence that lasted throughout the book-finally! Of course, they are a little dumb in relationships, but we need a storyline, right.

Read it. Read it now. I'll wait.

This was such a scrumptious read! It was so intensely hot that I’ve to fan myself several times all throughout reading it to prevent myself from spontaneously combusting! The plot was really good and I just loved the characters of Dru and Alex plus the supporting role of Nikki.

I really appreciated the writing style of Ms. Tawny Weber. Her talent in writing was really obvious in the pages of “Riding the Waves”. There was never a dull moment in the story. She has a way with words that really entice your imagination and the scenes of the story would definitely play out in your mind! I seriously enjoyed every page of this book. Not only was the story sizzling hot but it was also a lot of fun. Humor was as much part of the story as the decadent sex that the hero and heroine shared in this romance.

Drucilla “Dru” Rubichoux was a very talented but very uptight scientist who has a Ph. D. in Physics. She was so uptight, she even dresses in uptight clothing and maintains severe hairstyles that camouflaged her beautiful blonde ethereal looks. She most definitely deserved the title Ice Queen. In her line of work, she really had no time to date; her attention was solely focused on making her career top notch to ensure her security. So, in her spare time, she goes out on dates with geeks who make love with Albert Einstein’s photo nearby! My gosh, talk about freaking weird and definitely geeky in a sort of sick way! So, before she would be swamped with more work in the coming weeks with a big project, her best friend Nikki encouraged her to have a vacation and fling with a non-geeky scientist in Los Cabos, Mexico. She said that it’s time for Dru to loosen up and have the most scrumptious and decadent sex she could during her vacation. And she most certainly did!

She had the most glorious and intense sex of her life with surfer boy Alex. He was definitely not geek right, if he was a surfer? They didn’t exchange last names or line of work thinking it was only temporary, a fling and to be forgotten once they got home in the States. But Alex had other plans and it didn’t coincide with hers. He had decided to tell her before they part ways to pursue their relationship on the next level and intended to date her once they were home. But before he could tell her his plans, Dru already left for the States without saying goodbye and without leaving an address or even a phone number. What’s worse she even expressed her concern to the hotel reception not to give out her address specifically to Alex! Yeah, talk about being seriously ditched! Our hero was most definitely hurt!

Getting back to the real world and to their respective works come Monday morning, what they didn’t both anticipated was the shock of Dru and Alex’s lives in seeing each other in Trifecta, the company where Dru works. Apparently, our hero and heroine will be both working on the same project for the next three months! And Dru couldn’t believe that Alex would be her boss. He’s the consultant her company hired to help with her big project. What a turnabout! Now, he wouldn’t hold it against her for leaving him in Mexico without goodbye, would he? …. LET THE FIREWORKS BEGIN!

Riding the Waves

Following a no strings attached vacation fling with a sexy surfing instructor, astrophysicist Drucilla Robicheaux is shocked to learn that her newest co-worker, Alex Maddow, is none other than her secret lover.

Light, fluffy and satisfying.

Dru and Alex's chemistry is scorching hot and the conflict based on opposing personalities, i.e., Alex's laid back persona and Dru workaholic tendencies is relatively angst-free.

A quick read for a wintry evening.

The Ocean Brings Us Peace Of Mind

This wonderful story has given me a new ",Rule of Life". As a sailor with a couple of years of sea duty I have often looked out at sea. I have often contemplated my life choices or my navel listening to the calming effect of the surf. Drunk and Alex are both so focused on their life's work, they have forgotten to pay attention to the meaning of life itself. To love, to enjoy, to have pleasure!
