Christina is from the wrong side of the tracks. Its always been her and her best friend Leanne. Its hard living in a small town where everybody remembers every mistake you ever made. Leanne got married to Brett and they had a couple of kids. Life should have been good for her except she has too many demons. When we join the story Leanne has done a runner with Christina's boyfriend and her car. She periodically calls her to ask about her kids. At the start Brett doesn't like Christina he thinks she is a bad influence. When Brett has to go away for a course, he leaves his kids behind with their flaky grandmother. When Parker is taken ill at school, the school cant get hold of his mother. When Brett eventually tracks her down she is in a casino . He is forced to call Christina. She doesn't hesitate to help out. Circumstances help them both see each other in a different way. I loved both Brett & Christina. They both deserved a happy ending. Highly recommended for fans of small town romances.

Saving the Single Dad by Cheryl Harper
His son and daughter—
They are her family, too
Christina Braswell would do anything for her divorced best friend’s kids, including help their father. Park ranger and sudden single dad Brett Hendrix inspires trust and has everyone’s back. But Christina’s torn between loyalty and a deepening attachment to the handsome Sweetwater, Tennessee, lawman. Brett’s not making it any easier—Christina’s finally feeling as if she belongs somewhere.
this is Christina Braswell and Brett Hendrix's story.
“Thank you for keeping my kids safe, Christina.”
Brett decided to take a chance, and wrapped an arm around her shoulders to
squeeze her closer. Growing up, she’d always smelled of hair spray and
drugstore perfume. Tonight Christina might as well have sprayed a perfume
named Home.
He was either going to kiss her or run for
cover. There, in the warm glow of home, feeling connected, it seemed like
the most natural thing in the world to press his lips to hers. What would she
do?
I highly recommend reading.
Saving the Single Dad by Cheryl Harper is a wonderful well written 5 star book.

4 1/2 STARS!

A heartfelt journey of love and healing! With the next book in her Otter Lake Ranger Station series, Cheryl Harper brings us a story filled with family turmoil, second chances and happily ever afters. The characters are quick to draw us into their plight, and the story line moves easily throughout the book. I especially enjoyed the complexity of the kids in the story.

Christina Braswell is just living life one day at a time, struggling to get by like the rest of us. She really doesn't need an added dose of drama in her life, but with Leanne as her best friend, she often gets it! This time she's gone too far, and Chris is spitting mad ... but when she hears Leanne's kids need her, she's going to be there in a heartbeat ... they're her family!

Park ranger Brett Hendrix doesn't miss the drama his ex-wife Leanne used to bring to his life one bit, but he sure does miss the help with the parental duties! He's trying his hardest to be everything his son and daughter need, but occasionally he falls short. When disaster strikes and he has no one else to call, he sucks up his pride and calls on Christina for help ... he knows he's pushed her away a lot in life, but one thing he knows for sure is that she adores his kids.

Christina Braswell was the girl from the wrong side of the tracks, poor and having difficulties while growing up. Her best friend Leanne falls in love with Brett Hendrix only to leave him a single dad of two, while she's off dealing with addictions. Christina is bound to never give up on her friend, and is helpful to others by nature. Working two jobs to make ends meet her friend Leanne takes off with her car. Brett is also dedicated to working and providing for his family, but he desires a mate to help him with the kids and love him! This is a great short romance that incorporates a difficult and common occurrence in the world today, drug addiction.

This was an awesome book. Single dad and his ex wife’s best friend. She tries to protect her best friend. He tries to protect his kids. They have chemistry. Can they except that they have feelings for each other? Will the ex wife come between them?

It was slow moving at times, especially near the end. I thought the ending was a little too sappy.
