This book has excellent information for churches looking to make physical changes in their buildings. It combines history (ancient to present) with lots of pictures and liturgical reasoning for arrangements inside..as well as outside.

Thoughtful, but pretty much one person's opinion without scholarly discussion of architecture for the modern church. many nice photographs mainly of UK churches
