The fat cat Black Tubby said, “Supreme Commander is a good person, meow!”

Ning Xiayao replied, “…”

Read up to ch. 35 and then skimmed the rest

Well, at least I tried.

*shrugs*

Ning Xiaoyao is a genetically evolved army doctor from a zombie-infested apocalyptic world. One day, she transmigrates to the past as the next emperor of an ancient country -who by the way is disguised as a man to protect the ''interests'' of her family.

STOP.

YOU GOT ME THERE.

At least for the beginning *sigh* But then...the story begins.

How does a zombie-killing expert with supernormal strength, healing powers, and the ability to understand animals deal with the intricacies of court politics, you ask? Let me answer: SHE DOESNT.

Why bother dealing with all that stuff when you've got your knight shining in the armor male lead general?

Her background, which could have been interesting, really only serves as an excuse for her to be so fearless that she doesn't bother thinking AT ALL. She has no idea what's going on and how to act but doesn't even bother trying to figure it out.

COME ON.

Ning Xiaoyao is supposed to be a post-zombie apocalyptic soldier, but she can't even think rationally against her enemies schemes and easily drugged with an aphrodisiac and has to lean on the male lead every time. Just say you lost your memory, hit your head or use some other shitty lie to make everyone sit down and tell you everything from A to Z so you can plan ahead. But noooo, let's just stubbornly butt heads with our opponents with a 'hah, you can't kill me anyway, I killed zombies!' attitude.

Things Doesn't Make Sense:

ʅ(°_°)ʃ Nobody realizes she can heal people

ʅ(°_°)ʃ Nobody realizes she can talk to animals

ʅ(°_°)ʃ Nobody realizes she SUDDENLY has super strength, super healing and super everything

ʅ(°_°)ʃ Everyone is like totally ok with the way she talks

ʅ(°_°)ʃ Nobody pays respect to her even though she is an emperor -even her love interest

ʅ(°_°)ʃ SHE DOESNT EVEN TRY TO ACT LIKE A EMPORER

ʅ(°_°)ʃ 'Threating to take her clothes off to solve her problems' more than once and the annoying 'You guys cant kill me hehehehe' attitude

ʅ(°_°)ʃ Male lead being a virgin because hey if girl cant be one- *rolls eyes*

ʅ(°_°)ʃ MC having ZERO issue with suddenly transmigrating.

ʅ(°_°)ʃ Zombie-infested apocalyptic world sounded fun but then she started using it as an excuse for every shit and weird things she did so...NO

Last Note: I'm never going to pray for MC and ML to quickly get together again because well this one was super awkward.

I get that the story was trying to be funny and we shouldn't take it seriously but instead of being funny in a cute way, it turned into being annoying. So why waste time when there's so much better stuff out there?

Descrever Fênix Indomável é como descrever Game of Thrones.

ending was rushed. really wish they gave more detail. it just kind of ended. i also didn’t like the dumb plot line towards the end with the male lead doing that dumb shit. it really didn’t make sense to me honestly. it just seemed out of character. plus i wanted to see everyone in the palaces reactions to xiaoyao faking her gender. like i really wanna kno how elder li reacted to that and also to her faking her death. it’s a bit disappointing. i also didn’t really like the war plot line. it was depressing and ruined the generally fun vibe of the novel. if i were to reread this i’d stop before they started fighting. but overall the novel was good. the first 320 chapters where a lot of fun for me. the novel had some seriously hilarious bits. i loved the fact that she could talk to animals and all of their different personalities and their interactions. they were so funny and so caring towards her. especially her cat.. g-d he was so funny lmaooo

id rec this novel if the premise sounds interesting to u and u don’t mind the length. the majority of the novel was really good i’d have given this a 5 if i ignored everything that happened when the war broke out. but bc i didn’t like that stuff i’m lowering it to a 3.5.. which i think is being generous as i REALLY didn’t like some of the shit in the last 40-60 chapters.

NOTE: Depictions of non-consensual sex. Not safe if you mind that. I personally mind it but it didn't stop me from finishing this LOL but be mindful

She wakes up in the body of an emperor-- and she was assigned female at birth? What? In ancient China???? Well, looks like her mother's been lying to her emperor father all these years and had her raised as a man so she could become emperor once Daddo died. As luck would have it, dad's dead, her grandad is low-key in charge, and she's just a figurehead. Oh, and she's got a beautiful empress, who's been sleeping with her guard, and she's pregnant 💀💀 But this isn't a lesbian romance. This is an MF. Because, see, FL isn't alone. She's got someone in her corner, and this person discovers her secret after he gets hit with an aphrodisiac and basically gets hot and heavy with who he thought was his male emperor-- the Supreme Commander.

Ok this one is fairly long too. I haven't read this in a minute, but it's REALLY long. That being said, you're in for a very interesting ride. It gets heavy on the political drama and gets rather angsty in the tailend of the novel, but I still think it's great. The humor is GREAT. But it does get serious when needed. Never knew if I should laugh or cry 😭😭😭.

It's great, just turn your brain off and enjoy the romp. The story basically pokes fun on palace scheming via an powerful but unmotivated fmc. Its important to keep that in mind. She does not care about the throne, 90% of the plot happens because her moral code does not allow her to see good people be persecuted in front of her eyes if she can do something to stop it.

The only real gripe is that her ml, Lou Zigui is unworthy!

As other reviewers ha e said, it starts strong but ends weak. I don’t want to give too many spoilers, but the lead male character does something radically out of character about 90% in and the whole plot falls apart. The ending was so rushed I suspect even the writer was sick of it.

There’s also an ENORMOUS gaping plot hole, so if that sort of inconsistency bugs you, avoid it.

The story was good most parts, a bit too descriptively gory in other parts, the ending was kinda a let down, but the story was quiet funny too.

I wish the MC would come back as the Emperor instead of the empress and I wish the male lead would be like a male empress instead of the emperor.
