When his car came to an abrupt stop in Townsville, Nate didn’t intend to stay longer than a couple of days. That was until he found himself getting attached to the sexy receptionist at a local backpackers. But when things got serious, his past caught up with him...A past he didn’t want to have revealed.
After Ella found her long-term boyfriend cheating on her, she’d sworn off men...For at least a year. But can she resist the cute backpacker and his adorable smile?
The author Nick J. Hart travelled through Southeast Asia, New Zealand and Australia for over a year with the sole purpose of having no plan at all, but to find everything out on the way. Little did he know that he would find so much more than just the next stop or the next way to go.
He found a place where the Australian winter was better than the German summer. A place he didn’t even plan on stopping, but called home for more than five months. And a place he found himself getting attached to a quirky receptionist at the local backpacker hostel. The inspiration for his first novel “And then came you”, where the similarities of their very own (love)story are present, but where the actual storyline is still a work of fiction.
This book is a sweet, sexy romance that is surprising in a lot of ways that make it unique. I really loved the characters and how they interacted, and the story arc was wonderful. Definitely pick this one up.
🐨Two young people not looking for love but, what if they've found it anyway?!😮😉 July 4, 2018 Format: Kindle Edition 👍👍4.5 stars💕🏨 What a sweet, gradually developing young adult romance between a mysterious German backpacker and a warm, friendly Australian girl trying to recover from a previous, disastrous romance. Loved the Australian setting. It's written in simple, smooth-flowing prose and drew me in. Nate, the hero, was a resourceful and sensitive guy who allowed Ella to set the boundaries and pace of their relationship. Ella had a few hang-ups thanks to her cheating ex-boyfriend and the death of her father in a boating disaster, but with Nate's patient support and encouragement, she finds her way clear to working through them.
Although their story does develop some steam near the end, I really appreciated the author's ability to build a solid romantic tale without relying on $exy times throughout the story. It's evident almost from the first days that more than friendship is inevitable, but the journey to their HEA was an enjoyable progression filled with fun times, great chemistry, and a bit of frustration leading to a rewarding conclusion.:-)
I read a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest review.
It was a book I have never read like. Of course, it had some things that you see in other books too but seriously if you read a romance book then obviously there's gonna be romance right?
I think saying I loved it is an understatement. It had so many aspects to it.
The biggest shock was definitely the end though. And seriously if you're like me, you're going to love it. It's cute and fluffy and it has a happy ending. There's some angst in it so don't let it fool you. And the sexual tension, you are gonna be frustrated but don't worry they are going to get there.
I felt like it was rushed sometimes and somethings were like skipped? I don't know how to explain it better. It is a novel so of course, it's not going to be a really slow slow-burn but still.
Let's talk about grammar. Or not cause again I am an ARC reader and the books I read are ARC so there might be mistakes but they're fixed by the time the book goes live. Overall the sentences and paragraphs were at a nice length.
I want to say more but I would spoil the book so I will finish here today. I hope you check out the book and if you do let me know! For a rating, I would give it an 8/10.
Extremely entertaining, captivating, and interesting read. I could not put it down. Wonderfully written with strong characters. I want to read more from this author. I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
3* Ella is usually happy go lucky type of person but after catching her ex Kevin with another girl she’s not in the mood to party with her friend. Nate is away from home surviving working part time jobs for cash & living cheaply but what is his hiding from? The story was rather slow paced to what I expected it to be. A new author for me. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
