ONLY BOUNDLESS LOVE CAN SILENCE THE WHISPERS OF THE PAST . . .

A broken woman.
A damaged man.
A free spirit intent on saving them both.

Elysia ‘Sia’ Willis lives a solitary life. The only person in it is her big brother, Ky, vice-president of the infamous Hades Hangmen. She loves him, but she has absolutely no love for the outlaw MC he belongs to.
Raised in secret by her mother, Sia grew up separated from her brother and distant father. No one knew she even existed.

After the tragic murder of her mother, Sia spiraled into a rebellion against the rules of the Hangmen. A rebellion with dire consequences that now, years later, she still can’t escape.

As she lives once again in secret, happy on her own at her secluded ranch, a devil from her past comes calling. A devil who wants to possess her once again and take her from the simple life she never wants to lose.
And he will stop at nothing to collect what he believes is his: her.

Valan ‘Hush’ Durand and Aubin ‘Cowboy’ Breaux have finally found a home in the mother chapter of the Hangmen. The notoriously private Cajun twosome have, for now, put aside what chased them from their beloved Louisiana. But as threats toward the club build, Hush and Cowboy are given a task—protect Elysia Willis at all costs. Cowboy welcomes the job of watching over the blond-haired, blue-eyed beauty.
Hush fights against it.
Scarred by events from his past and a secret that plagues his everyday life, Hush refuses to let anyone else get close. Only Cowboy knows the real him. Until a certain sister of the club’s VP begins to slowly knock down his defenses, shattering the heavily built walls that guard his damaged soul . . . with his best friend leading the charge.

As lost and open hearts begin to meld, taking each other from indescribable pain to the never-before felt relief of peace, the newly-mended threesome must first endure one more rocky path.
Only then will they finally shake free of the shackles of their pasts.
Only then will they shed the bonds that have for too long held their happiness captive.
And there is only one way to survive that path . . . together.

Dark Contemporary MFM Romance. Contains scenes of violence and sexual situations. Over 18’s only.

About the author

Tillie Cole

59 books25.9k followers
Amazon & USA Today Best Selling Author, Tillie Cole, is a Northern girl through and through. She originates from a place called Teesside on that little but awesomely sunny (okay I exaggerate) Isle called Great Britain. She was brought up surrounded by her English rose mother -- a farmer's daughter, her crazy Scottish father, a savagely sarcastic sister and a multitude of rescue animals and horses.
Being a scary blend of Scottish and English, Tillie embraces both cultures; her English heritage through her love of HP sauce and freshly made Yorkshire Puddings, and her Scottish which is mostly demonstrated by her frighteningly foul-mouthed episodes of pure rage and her much loved dirty jokes.

Having been born and raised as a Teesside Smoggie, Tillie, at age nineteen, moved forty miles north to the 'Toon', Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, where she attended Newcastle University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts honours degree in Religious Studies. She returned two years later to complete a Post-Graduate Certificate in Teaching High School Social Studies. Tillie, regards Newcastle to be a home from home and enjoyed the Newcastle Geordie way of life for seven 'proper mint' and 'lush' years.

One summers day, after finishing reading her thousandth book on her much loved and treasured Kindle, Tillie turned to her husband and declared, "D'you know, I have a great idea for a story. I could write a book." Several months later, after repeating the same tired line at the close of another completed story, she was scolded by her husband to shut up talking about writing a novel and "just bloody do it!" For the first time in eleven years, Tillie actually took his advice (he is still trying to get over the shock) and immediately set off on a crazy journey, delving deep into her fertile imagination.

Tillie, ever since, has written from the heart. She combines her passion for anything camp and glittery with her love of humour and dark brooding men (most often muscled and tattooed – they’re her weakness!). She also has a serious side (believe it or not!) and loves to immerse herself in the complex study of World Religions, History and Cultural Studies and creates fantasy stories that enable her to thread serious issues and topics into her writing -- yep, there's more to this girl than profanity and sparkles!

After six years of teaching high school Social Studies and following her Professional Rugby Player husband around Europe, they have finally given up their nomadic way of life and settled in Calgary, Alberta where Tillie spends most of her days (and many a late night) lost in a writing euphoria or pursuing a dazzling career as a barrel-racing, tasselled-chap wearing, Stetson-sporting cowgirl... Ye-haw!

I love Tillie Cole and I adore this series.

Hush and Cowboy were amazing together in this one and I really liked Sia too.

However, I must say that it was weird reading a book where one of the love interests is referred to as "Val" sometimes and another as "Sia." Obviously, Val is MY name and one of my nieces is named Sia.
So...yeah.

It happens to us all at one point or another, I would imagine.
There are only so many names out there and all that jazz.

Not that big a deal, I just thought it was funny.
Moving on.

This book.

I truly did enjoy it, BUT...

Not gonna lie, I didn't love this one as much as I have loved past series offerings.

I'm not sure if that had to do with the tripod of a relationship we had here (although I don't think that's it) or if I just felt like I didn't truly get to know the characters as much as I would have liked to.

I do know that we didn't get as much MC as I would have liked in this MC book.

I felt like these three characters kind of existed on their own separate little island and just weren't that attached to the MC in general. Most of the scenes occur on Sia's ranch or in flashback.

Even though Cowboy and Hush are technically MC brothers, they just didn't really have as much interaction with the Hangmen.

But it's all good.

Fans of the series will definitely enjoy this one, so long as they don't mind the aforementioned tripod.

I'm definitely looking forward to the next book. I think it's supposed to be Tanner's story.

I also hope that we get some more "check-in" time with some of our previous characters, another thing that I felt was missing from this book.

But all in all, a solid read and a solid addition to the series.

KITTY KATS CRAZY ABOUT BOOKS

"LOVE DOESN'T SEE COLOUR. ONLY PURE HEARTS...”

CRUX: is the sixth book in Author Tillie Cole’s ‘Hades Hangmen’ series. A dark contemporary MFM romance. This picks up exactly where ‘Damnable Grace’ left us off.

This is Elysia ‘Sia’ Willis, Valan ‘Hush’ Durand and Aubin ‘Cowboy’ Breaux’s story. Sia is Ky’s sister which you would’ve already encountered in past books within this series.

PAST: Seven years ago whilst in Mexico Sia loved a man, she knew he wasn’t perfect, but she’d fallen for him so hard and so fast, but he wasn’t the man she thought he was, this man was pure evil, the devils incarnate. He’d ruined Sia for anyone else.

'You’re mine, rosa negra. And I’m never letting you go.’

PRESENT: Sia the feisty blond is hiding out at her ranch in Austin, Texas, under a new identity, she’s been safe for years, but a visit from her brother and Ky put an end to that. The Diablo Prez had gotten word out that Garcia had sent men to sniff out Sia and he was closing in. Ky explains that she would be better off at the compound under the clubs protection.

Getting restless though Sia can’t wait to get back home to her ranch where her horses are Ky’s not that happy about this but she decides to take Hush and Cowboy the two men who always made her feel safe and knows they will protect her when necessary.

To say we’ve all been intrigued by this duo (Cowboy & Hush) is an understatement, we all wanted to know their story and wow what a story it is!! This book destroyed me, Hush’s story is so gut wrenching it pulled so many emotions out of me.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Both twenty six these notoriously private Cajun twosome Hush and Cowboy have such a strong unique undeniable bond, they both come from a tiny town in the middle of nowhere, Louisiana these two have known each other since the age of sixteen, bad blood and horrific circumstances brought these two together and since then a bond like no other had been forged. Neither can live without the other.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Hush’s mother was Swedish with blond hair and stunning blue eyes and his father was a black musician from Mississippi which is where Hush gets his unusual colouring from. Hush always felt like he wasn’t good enough, he didn’t fit in the white man’s world or the black man’s world, always on the outs although he’s slowly making a home for himself within the mother chapter of the Hangmen.

Both realising that they are attracted to her and vice versa, Cowboy with his flirtatious ways and Hush with his broody silent scowls crawled under Sia’s skin, she’d heard the rumours about them but hearing about them first hand from Cowboy made her wonder if maybe just maybe they would love her that way.

Four hands to touch me, four arms to hold me..Two hearts to make love to me and chase away the dark...

And this is where the true magic starts happening, it’s done in such a beautiful way, slowly we see a love blossoming between the three of them, Hush crawls into your heart so far there is no dislodging him. I was team #Flame but #Hush stole my everything, my tears, my sighs, and in the end my love.

ONLY BOUNDLESS LOVE CAN SILENCE THE WHISPERS OF THE PAST. . . .

This was such a crazy, epic, heartbreaking, unputdownable, soul crushing read! My review won't do justice to this book because I can't put into words how much this book impacted me, such hatred for a mixed race, a man who was such a gentle soul who had been through so much in his life captured my heart, I bled alongside him, I cried for the injustice dealt by cowards hands. This author has such a way with words, every alpha character is imperfectly broken, they wear their scars on the inside, but not unscathed and flawless on the outside, because each of their skins are marred by their own battle wounds of survival..

Crux Untamed is the 6th book in Tillie Cole’s Hades Hangmen series. This is one of those series I hope never ends. Tillie writes these books with so much heart, passion, and intensity. This book is a little different than the rest, as it’s a MFM romance and it strays completely from the religious cult aspect and starts to delve into other things.

This story is about two best friends, brothers, and Hades Hangmen, Cowboy and Hush. Cowboy and Hush couldn’t be anymore different, but they are family to each other. They’ve got each others backs. Their bond and history go back much deeper than most of the Hangmen’s. These two brothers with their Cajun roots have intrigued me since I first met them. I didn’t know how their story would work, but when Sia came into the picture, it all fell into place.

Sia is no stranger to the club life. She grew up in it. Her brother, Ky, is VP of the Hangmen. To say she is not a fan of the club… that would be an understatement. When someone from her past comes back to haunt her, Ky will do whatever needs to be done to protect her whether she likes it or not, including Cowboy and Hush to her ranch to keep an eye on things.

The brothers are under strict orders to watch over Sia, but under no circumstances are they allowed to touch her. Their attraction can’t be denied, though, and soon enough the romance between them starts to bloom. I know this seems like a very unconventional love story, as it’s between three people, but some how it worked. I loved these three together and I couldn't imagine them being a twosome in any way, shape, or form.
No selfishness. No jealousy. Just love.

My favorite part of this book was that it gave me all the feels. Hush is one of the most complex and beautifully broken characters Tillie has ever written. His back story completely gutted me. I understood why he felt the way he did- unworthy. And I loved that these two worked to pull him out of that mind set.
“Don’t worry, cher, we’ll wear Hush down together. Get him seeing things our way. His walls are high, but I reckon we can smash through them if we try hard enough.”

It wasn’t just Hush that had a rough past, Sia’s past was emotional as well. And Cowboy? Cowboy was the loving, sweet man who would do anything to help them both heal. He was selfless, loyal, and pretty perfect for the other two. I adored all three of these characters!

This story broke me at times, but by the end, it healed me and put me back together like only a Tillie book can. I love this series so much and Crux Untamed is a fantastic addition. Intense, powerful, sexy, and emotional with flawless writing to top it off, this is a must read!

*****FIVE STARS*****
{ARC Generously Provided by Author}

”Three sets of blue eyes, all different. All who have walked different paths…” My heart beat so fast at how we were all here together. ”All who have seen the full spectrum of life—the good, the bad, and the ugly.”

The ”HADES HANGMEN” is not only my favorite Tillie Cole and MC series, it is by far, one of my top favorite series of all time. I’ve said it before but it’s because of my love of the ”Hades Hangmen” that I became a blogger three years ago. Each book has been a gem for me. So many of these men have captured my heart over the years and I have to be honest I was worried about this latest book. I honestly didn’t know what to make of Cowboy and Hush. They were always in the background of the previous stories and never really piqued my curiosity. My fear was that this was going to turn into an MM story somehow because of all the jokes about the two being lovers. I knew that there was going to be a ménage and I worried that the two Heroes would end up having some sexy times between them! I am happy to report that DID NOT happen! This actually surpassed my wildest MFM fantasies! I may have to reevaluate my ideal HEA because it appears that two men are DEFINITELY better than one!

A dangerous man from Sia’s past has been seen in the area and it has her brother Ky and Styx on HIGH ALERT! She refuses to stay on the Hangmen’s compound since she loathes their way of life and still harbors hatred for their deceased father who mistreated their late mother time and again. Sia’s life has been filled with loneliness and her need to be loved had her choosing the wrong man to give her heart and trust to. That time with him nearly destroyed her. It’s been years since she was in that living hell and the only comfort and solace she finds is living in her little ranch and being with her horses. Ky orders Cowboy and Hush to stay at the ranch with Sia to keep watch over her. He also threatens to kill them if they try to make a play for her. He doesn’t seem to realize that there is some kind of attraction building between the three of them.

Out of the three, Cowboy is the one who hasn’t suffered a horrific past like Sia and Hush have. He sees the two as kindred spirits. He also can’t help the feelings that seem to grow with each passing day for Sia. The dynamic between the three flowed naturally. There wasn’t one tiny ounce of jealousy that ever reared its ugly head in their relationship. It just felt like it was ”Right”…that the three were made for each other. The steam level is high and when they engage in sex it always felt like it came from a place of love more than lust. It never seemed dirty or wrong, but rather natural. Hush and Cowboy were two best friends who loved and were loved by one incredible woman. Sia, Hush, and Cowboy find the peace and tranquility with each other that they’ve yearned for all their lives.

Happiness always comes at a price for the Hangmen. If you’ve been keeping up with the series then you know there’s always some bad mother f’ers who always threaten the Hangmen and their loved ones and since we’ve got three leading characters in this story, you better believe there are enemies coming from every direction! Let’s not forget they are entangled in a forbidden romance as well!

Will Sia, Hush, and Cowboy be able to live out their lives in blissful happiness when there are so many people out there that are against their union???

Here are my overall ratings:

Heros: 5
Heroine: 5
Plot: 5
Angst: 4
Steam: ++++5
Chemistry Between Heros & Heroine: 5

Sia is the sister of the Hades Hangmen VP Ky. Ky has been keeping her on a small ranch in secret after rescuing her from a sextrafficking cartel boss when she was younger. Sia loves her ranch, training and looking after horses it's where she feels safest and it keeps her mind off the past.

 photo blackrose1_zpscmkpa4g8.gif

Of course nothing stays that way for long with a Hangmen book and Sia finds herself being confronted with the very thing she was hiding from.

Then in come Hush & Cowboy to keep her safe.

So here's the thing, I loved Hush & Cowboys stories and Sia was a strong confident woman which I liked BUT I just wasn't feeling the three of them together. Yes the sex was hot and I can understand the chemistry but I just wasn't believing the love connection between all three, Hush & Cowboy now that'd be a love connection I would understand. This felt more like their love story to me, I adored Hush.

Saying that I still loved the story and the writing was brilliant as always, when I compare it to the earlier books in the series this one was just lacking a little intensity. I think I may have a secret stupid crush on the big idiot Viking after reading this, love a guy that can make me laugh. Oh, and I loved the little ode to shrek.

These are phrases the brother of the mc said to her:

“Yet the minute you get two bikers in your house, you open your legs and let them use you as their personal cumbucket.” He leaned in close. “Didn’t learn your lesson from fucking a sex-trafficker, huh, little sis?”

“You’d have just become another whore who spread her legs for any brother that threw her scraps of their attention . . . like mother, like daughter.”

I do not understand how this is in any way a good sentence nor plot mind you the brother isn’t a “bad guy” bc he’s the mc in the second books fùck him. Fùck this series and fuck this universe

Hmm, this didn’t really leave me with any kind of impression. It was just kinda there. Another story, a few characters that got their HEAs and I can now move on from. That’s how I feel about it now that I’ve read it. Like, I’m glad I read it because I got it over with?!

I liked all three characters, but I didn’t love them. Cowboy wasn’t really fleshed out. Sia was but not to the extent I would have liked and lastly Hush, who I think I’ve come to know most about.

I didn’t feel their love. At all! When they all said I love you to each other, my first reaction was to cringe and say a loud “really?!” You’d think this is because of the unconventional trouple but no. I could see a relationship between the three of them, I just think the story should have been better to make me believe it.

Also, can I just say that the reason for which Cowboy and Hush started having sex with each other present - such an awkward way to put it, but basically they would be in the same room, doing the same girl but they never touch each other- was so silly. I mean if Hush had reasons not to wanna have sex at the clubhouse then he should have gone out to a bar and picked up a girl. Problem solved. But no, like any logical person, Cowboy starts this weird routine. I say weird because supposedly they are not into each other as anything else but friends. I just didn’t buy it. This trouple wasn’t credible.

Gah...this book destroyed me... in the best of ways of course !!! It was absolutely awesome !!

https://www.google.com/search?rlz=1C1AVFA_enNL783NL783

I have been curious about Cowboy and Hush, my favorite cajun twosome, ever since I first met them. And I have been a bit in love with them just as long ;)

I expected their story to be great but I got so much more than I expected... Now Tillie has asked for spoilerfree reviews, so I am gonna be a bit vague and avoid any major spoilers  I'm sorry (not really) but I agree that reading them without any big spoilers is much more enjoyble ;)

No worries.... I won't leave you completely hanging though....

https://www.google.com/search?tbm=isch

Cowboy and Hush have been best friends for a very very long time. With the Hades Hangmen, they finally found a place where they feel at home... They're really close and they are known for doing everything together. Lot's of speculations about the two of them going around at the club :P

https://www.facebook.com/tilliecoleauthor/photos/a.116292381903131.1073741828.116248361907533/752569098275453/?type=3 https://www.facebook.com/tilliecoleauthor/photos/a.116292381903131.1073741828.116248361907533/752569094942120/?type=3

What they also have in common, is the fact that both of them have caught the eye of Sia "Elysia Willis".

https://www.fotoaanpassen.nl/

Those of you who have read each and every single book, like I have, know that Sia is Ky's sister. Sia has a dark past of her own....one that keeps her safely tucked away on her little ranch. She doesn't come out to the club very often and when her past comes back with a vengeance, she chooses Cowboy and Hush to come home with her, and protect her....

https://www.google.com/search?rlz=1C1AVFA_enNL783NL783

Cowboy is his excited self, and can't wait to go home with the beauty, that has been on his mind for some time now... Hush feels a bit different though... He is dealing with a very heavy past and lots of secrets. He might want Sia...but that doesn't mean he is right for her...

A broken woman.
A damaged man.
A free spirit intent on saving them both

Oh how true these lines are, and oh how Cowboy made me proud trying to be the savior of two broken souls.... He was definitely the best that could have happend to both of them.

While at the ranch, these three become closer and closer. It doesn't take Sia that long, to realise she has fallen in love with both men.....and for them to return her feelings..

No selfishness. No jealousy. Just love.

But Hush never quite opens up, and when the past finally comes knocking at their door....all bets are off and they will have to fight for more than just their love for each other !!

"Kärleken ser inte färger. Bara rena hjärter" .......

https://www.google.com/search?rlz=1C1AVFA_enNL783NL783

"Love doesn't see color. Only pure hearts."

I cried so much during this book...it broke me. I want to thank Tillie for at least making sure I was put back together again before the end...

https://www.google.com/search?tbm=isch

I also want to thank her for Ky ;) He has always been my favorite and he never fails to make me laugh, which I very much appreciated in this case :P

"It's the thought of those fuckers double teaming you that makes me see red....... All I see in my head whenever you three are mentioned is a conga line of pussy, cocks and assholes. It's fucking with my head!"

I highly recommend this series to anyone who doesn't mind their romance coming with a bit of darkness ;)

Genre: Romance
Setting: Austin, Texas
POV/s: First-person, multiple
Intimacy scenes: 5/5

This story was so easy to fly through! The pace was perfect and I liked the structure of the story: the first half was saturated with relationship building tension, flashbacks, and incredible steamy scenes while the second half was filled with action scenes, tying up loose ends, and the Hangmen settling into the idea of an impending war. Before I knew it I was already at the end and reading that final Bonus Chapter!

Hush’s history was tragic and the emotional balance he found with Sia and Cowboy wasn’t cemented until the end. I loved that Hush found closure for the areas in his past that haunted him most and it’ll be interesting to see how much more of himself he reveals to his brothers as the series continues on.

✰ Favorite lines spoken by Ky?

✰ I can’t wait to read Tanner’s book next!

****4.5 Stars!!!!****

I was concerned going into this instalment that I wouldn’t care for the main characters in it. The readers who have followed the Hades Hangmen series know that this one is about not two people; but three! I don’t mean a love triangle, I mean a ménage relationship... ( not sure if that is what you call it!!) The three people involved are; Cowboy, Sia, and Hush.

In past books we have become acquainted with these characters, but there has been a lot of mystery surrounding them— especially Hush! The two most damaged souls are Hush and Sia... Cowboy seems to be the radiating light to the others darkness! When these three come together, it ends up a very beautiful three some!

Of course in any of Tillie’s MC books, nothing is smooth sailing. A lot goes on throughout this action pact book! This sixth book is full of violence, horrific events, and tears... On the flip side there are heartwarming events too! The story also includes the club loyalty, sizzling sex, and amazing friendships!

I enjoyed this like all the rest of the series; but I did find that the intensity of the couples that I usually feel was not there as much. So, I docked just a half star for that. The bottom line is that I couldn’t put the book down and I am still in love with this series! I can’t wait for the next book!!!

Crux Untamed is the sixth book in the Hades Hangmen Series. I am a diehard Hangmen fan so anytime a new book is released, I am overjoyed to immerse myself back in that world. This sixth book was quite different from the other books as the love connection is quite unconventional. Sia is no stranger to the club lifestyle as her brother Ky is the VP of the Hangmen. When dangers from her past are threatening her life once again, Ky enlists two of his brothers to watch over her. Cowboy and Hush are best friends and have no problem keeping watch over Sia. Although they are under strict orders to look but "DON'T TOUCH", it doesn't take long for these three to form a very special connection. The passion and intensity build between the three and although all three have experienced heartbreak and loss, somehow the three together create a beautiful bond that cannot be broken. The healing and love that blooms between these three is utter perfection.

“We could be those someones for her.”
Overall, Crux Untamed is a powerful addition to this series. Although an M-F-M themed book is completely out of my comfort zone, I was happy to be back with the Hangmen again and look forward to more Tillie Cole goodness to come. This is one series I never want to end!

*** 3.5 Love Doesn’t See Color STARS ***

PopSugar Reading Challenge 2018 3.

When I knew I liked them both, my biggest fear had been that I’d be drawn to one more than the other. Was my heart designed to allow only one in? But as I lay there, kissing both these men who’d so captured my soul, I realized that a heart is infinite. Love can expand and expand. My heart could hold as much as I was willing to let in.

"And you, Cowboy, are the light that chases away the deepest darkness within us when it begins to creep in".

3 MEH STARS

Este libro y yo no conectamos.
description

SPOILER ALERT

Tenemos 3 protagonistas, Sia , Hush y Cowboy.

“Whatever you do, Ash, don’t lose that sweetness you still got within you. Don’t let Hades pollute it with the kind of darkness he can bring.”

description

Title: Crux Untamed ( Hades Hangman #6)
Author: Tillie Cole
Genre: Romance, Dark
Publication Date: February 27, 2018

ARC

I can honestly say that this book is not for the faint of heart. The Hades Hangman series is a series that I can't help but enjoy. It's darker content may trigger some and Crux Untamed is no different. It contains scenes of violence and explicit sexual situations. So I'd advice you to read it only if you are over 18+.

I took me a while to review this book because this book truthfully made me really sad. Don't get me wrong, it's an addictive book but there were parts that broke my heart and the truth of the matter is, the context is real. The story may be fictional but it's based on things that have happened to others in the past and is probably still happening (Granted the subject of the matter may have sobered down a bit).
It's hard to explain the pain you, as readers, go through when you read the words in the book. It's hard to explain the joy of having someone love you regardless of your colour, caste and creed.
Tillie Cole has written a book that makes you want to welcome this unconventional with open arms. FYI, Crux Untamed is an MFM romance.

Now that I have blatantly made it quite obvious that I really enjoyed this book, I will say that it wasn't my favourite in the Hades Hangman Series. Sia, Hush and Cowboy make a beautiful trio but when it comes to the entire Hades Hangman family, there are other that will always be closer to my heart.

But nonetheless, I really hope you give this book a try.
Happy reading!

I liked Crux, but for me it didn't have the strong feels the other books in the series had. And it should've done all that, all the ingredients were there but .... IDK. Something was missing or I'm REALLY not a menage fan (it's probably more that). 😕

It's a quick read yet still took me 3 days to get through it, I could pick up and put down as and when. The others I inhaled and couldn't put them down.

This one just became my least fav in the series and it has nothing to do with it being a MFM Romance.

Oh well...it happens :)

4 Hush Baby Stars

 photo sia_zpsvy0u8c1s.jpg

Just as I was getting ready to start my Christmas staycay, we received a dumping of snow that would provide all of the excuse I needed to not change out of my pajamas for at least the first 24 hours of my freedom. I’m chalking it up to the fact that . . . . .

Since I had already decided it was going to be a day of . . . . .

I thought it was high time that I opened up the pocketbook and purchased this sucker that had been on my don’t-even-call-it-guilty-pleasure-because-I-don’t-feel-guilty-at-all-when-I-read-these TBR for eternity so I logged on to Amazon where . . . . .

Maybe sprinkle is more fitting since these aren’t expensive at all.

This series is such a fantastic timesuck. I especially love the fact that . . . .

I mean, we’re talking motorcycle club (and a real one to boot that does illegal things) and girls formerly in some sort of religious cult and kidnappings and drug cartels and sex traffickers and dudes who don’t have sex with each other, but always have their sex three-way style. Oh it’s just so very over the top. Your mileage may most definitely vary when it comes to your opinion of this series. Just know that it’s total farfetched brain candy and if one of them isn’t exactly your cuppa, another might be. A 3 Star rating from me equals I thought it was okay so please don’t troll me for not falling all over myself for the double penetration. It’s just that nothing can compare to my reaction to Ky and Delilah’s book.

Unlike other books in this series, it doesn't focus much on the club but mostly focuses on racism. Hush's backstory was tragic. Sia's struggle was terrible. It was good to see how Cowboy helped both of them. He was loyal, selfless, and understanding.

However, I couldn't find the connection between Hush, Sia, and Cowboy. I am not a fan of polygamous relationship. It was more focused on Hush, how his past affected him, and his tragic upbringing which left the romance between Hush/ Sia/ Cowboy vague. I needed more romantic development to understand or feel the connection between them.
I only read it because its a part of the Hades Hangman series.

Overall, it was just an okay book. It could have been better.

4 Stars

Crux Untamed is the 6th book in the Hades Hangmen series. I usually would say you should read the books in order, but in my opinion I think you can read the first 4 in order and then after that it’s okay to skip around. I think if you start the series with this one you will be fine.

The Hangmen series is changing in my opinion and this book was different. First off, it’ about three people. I didn’t know what to expect at first but overall, it was a captivating and emotional story. There are some parts that pulled at my heart strings. There are a lot of serious issues peppered throughout the book and I liked how dramatic the story was.

This is Sia, Hush and Cowboy’s story. Yes, you heard me correctly, three people.

The thing that I really enjoyed about this story was the balance of everything. You have people with damaged pasts and you really feel for them. Sia was once held captive from a brutal man and now she’s trying to move past this.

I love Sia. I love how strong she is and I love she isn’t all about the MC crowd. She lives on her ranch, rides horses and enjoys her simple life. I found her very refreshing and I just adored her character.

Then you have the fearsome twosome, Hush and Cowboy. I will admit I was very curious about them. Hush and Cowboy are so different because well there are two of them. Also, one is white and one is black. Race places a major card in this book and it will like I say pull at your heartstrings.

Look, I’m sensitive with all the race stuff. I lived in a slightly closed off area and I was bullied everyday for being Asian. It was so bad that to this day, 30 years later I still remember it. So when authors write about this stuff I take it to heart. I feel like Tillie portrayed a very beautiful story about differences and prejudices. It kind of hits right now with everything that’s happening in the world. Look at our president.

I loved how damaged Hush was. How he had a very dark past and I was just reading like mad to discover what made Hush who he is now. I also wanted to understand Cowboy’s relationship with him. Cowboy is so carefree and light hearted, I wanted to know why he stuck with Hush all these years.

I felt like Crux Untamed kept me on my toes and I never know what was going to happen. I was concerned for Sia, as she is being hunted and I was curious to how everything would play out. I loved all the MC politics and overall I loved how different this book was. The series is evolving and I can’t wait to see what the next book entails.

Tillie Cole….Tillie Cole….Tillie Cole! Damn this author guts me like no other. All the Hades Hangmen have phenomenal stories, there’s no other way to describe them. But I think Crux Untamed may have surpassed them.
description
Raw, dark and ulgy are the henious words that comes to mind when looking into the psyche of evil men, hell bent on doing wrongdoings. Whether to each other or their potential victims, Tillie obliterates their darkness with Hush.
description
I cried for him much like I’ve done with Flame and the other brothers. Hush will burrow down deep in your heart to where all you wanna do is wrap your arms around him and just let him know you are there. Cowboy…..big time swoons! He’s something else and I love him for it. Sexy as hell, flirty and just the right amount of hero. Yeah that really sums up what I think of him. Five star read! Intense, real and one hell of a MC read!

4,5 "only pure hearts"  stars

Oh my God!!! All the feels!!!

CRUX UNTAMED is a bit different from the other books. We don't have a cursed sister now and it has the most expected trio of all!

I loved Cowboy's winks, and smiles, and sassyness.

I loved Sia big mouth and stubbornness. As we all know she suffered a lot and of course has her fears, but I loved that she wasn't afraid to say what she thinks, to shut up some bikers.

But Hush was the one that truly stole my heart. I felt everything he felt. I wanted to cry, and I also got sooooo angry finding out everything. My defense mode got crazy when it was about him.

I loved Tillie's approach about certain subject and I also loved that I had a lot of theories of how this book was going to be but it turn out to be more. So so much more.

We still see a lot of the others Hades  Hangmen and their crazy life but this is also about all kinds of love. Love of a brother. A lover. A friend. CRUX UNTAMED was amazing and I can't wait for more books of this series.

4,5 "apenas corações puros" estrelas

Meu Deus!!!

Overall Opinion: This was enjoyable, but it's not one of my favorites in the series. I liked all three of the mcs and I enjoyed their connection to each other -- but I think with the amazing stories that came before it, there was a lot to live up to. I think that it still was a good book and this author remains as one of my all-time favorites.

Brief Summary of the Storyline: This is Sia, Cowboy and Hush's story. Sia is the VP's sister and is hidden away on her ranch from the man that was part of the Mexican cartel and had held her captive. Word got out that that man is looking for her, and Cowboy and Hush get assigned to be with her on the ranch to keep her safe. The more time they spend together, the stronger the connection they feel towards one another is. There is some major baggage that they have to work though, some sexy times, and some suspenseful moments...and they get a HFN ending.

POV: This alternated between Sia, Cowboy and Hush's POV.

Overall Pace of Story: Good. I never skimmed and I thought it flowed well.

Instalove: No, they all take a while to develop stronger feelings.

H rating: 4.5 stars. Cowboy. I really liked him. I appreciated how he cared for Sia and Hush, and how he was the light to their darkness.

H rating: 4 stars. Hush. I liked him. My heart broke for all that he went through.

h rating: 4 stars. Sia. I liked her. I appreciated how strong she was regardless of what all had happened to her.

Sadness level: Low, I didn't need any tissues but others said they did.

Push/Pull: Yes

Heat level: Good. They have some good tension, chemistry, and scenes -- but not so much it takes away from the story.

Descriptive sex: Yes

OW/OM drama: Yes

Sex scene with OW or OM: No

Cheating: No

Separation: Not really. Once they get together they stay together.

Possible Triggers: Yes

Closure: This had alright closure, but I wanted to have more. I would call this a HFN ending. I would've liked a little more concrete commitment for the characters, or at least a farther glimpse into their future. Maybe we'll see more of them in the next book/s 🤷🏻‍♀️

Safety: This one is probably either Safe with exception or Not Safe for most safety gang readers depending on personal preferences.

"From the minute we met you, I could see in you what I see in him every day... loneliness."

I love the Hades Hangmen series. It is so much more than just a Biker/Dark Romance. I have read many books in these genres, but Tillie Cole is one of the few authors that can elevate her stories to a higher level. She is also one of the few authors whose book blurbs I don't have to read to decide if I want to read the book. After all the amazing previous books in this series, I had very high expectations for Crux Untamed. The fact that it was a Menage (MFM), had me even more excited. I didn't doubt for a second that Tillie would come up with a great story for Hush, Cowboy and Sia.

"I realized that I'd wanted this. Wanted Hush as much as I wanted Cowboy since the first time I met them. It didn't make sense. Nothing about this made sense, about how we three meshed and melded into one organic whole."

While Cowboy was free spirited, Hush was very closed off and didn't let anyone besides Cowboy really into his life. Sia was strong and wanted to show to the world she was doing okay. However, these three were broken, two more than the other. I couldn't contain my tears when I read where Hush came from and what he had been through in the past. It was so heartbreaking and made me very angry. Sia, also didn't have the easiest past and was still trying to find a way to fully move on from the horrific events she'd been through. Cowboy, was a very important factor in having these two broken individuals come together and see that they weren't that different from one another. I loved these three together so much. It was just the perfect balance of personalities, and they completed each other.

"Four hands to touch me, four arms to hold me... two hearts to make love to me and chase away the dark."

Like in every Hades Hangmen book you'll get enough action, HOT sex scenes (VERY hot), and very emotional moments that will have you crying. Crux Untamed is another amazing addition to one of my favorite series, and I am really looking forward to what Tillie has in store for us next with Darkness Embraced which is Tanner's Story. The only reason I didn't give this book a full 5 star is because I felt like Cowboy sometimes didn't play as an important role as Hush and Sia, and I wanted to shake Hush and tell him that he is amazing and deserves all the best in the world. Lovers of this series will not be disappointed with this book!

This was one of my most anticipated books of the series. We, the readers, had gotten to see glimpses of Sia since Ky's book early on in the series. We knew that she didn't like the Hade's Hangmen because of her mother's death. When we learn that she was once held against her will by a dangerous man that is still looking to steal her away again, I was flabbergasted! She seems like such a strong, sassy woman.

And because Ky knows she is in danger, he assigns Hush and Cowboy to stay with her at the ranch. They find themselves falling for the independent woman and it effects them both greatly and differently. However, Sia is ready to love them both. Yep, this is a MFM romance!

I know I keep singing Tillie Cole's praises, but dang ya girl can write!

I really enjoyed this book's threesome. All three of them present themselves in a light that is nothing like what they are actually battling on the inside. Sia comes across as the baddest bish when she really struggles with some PTSD about her abduction. And I will let you discover Cowboy and Hush's demons. My heart really went out to the trio.

As far as the MFM concept, I was left a little disappointed. The scenes were steamy but they didn't seem to come together the way I wanted them too. It was like they were just taking turns with Sia instead of them really being together. I think I am just used to MMF where things get really steamy.

Overall, I really enjoyed this installment. I am Tillie left them as a threesome and I hope for more in the future.

"Love doesn't see color. Only pure hearts.”

Dark and beautiful and gritty!! Loved it.

Crux is the sixth book in the Hades Hangmen series. I was pleasantly surprised and thrilled at the dark, MFM themes in this book. Although part of a series, I have not read all of the books and I was more than able to follow all of the characters and fully enjoy the story.

Sia is the sister of Ky. Valan ("Hush") and Aubin ("Cowboy") are two members of the Club who are charged with protecting Sia from her former captor from Mexico. She escaped from her former boyfriend back to Texas, and suffers from horrible PTSD from her ordeal.

"It was ironic: when I was a teen, I made a vow to leave Austin and stop all contact with the Hangmen. Then, one escape... That’s all it took to make me wish I’d never set foot outta Texas. Never cut all ties with the Hangmen. And one man... One man, named Garcia, to make me long for the lazy Texas days and the sound of horses’ hooves padding on the grass outside of my old bedroom window."

Hush and Cowboy are COMPLETELY off limits to her but of course, the heart wants what the heart wants, and nothing, not even the wrath of her brother, can keep Sia from Hush and Cowboy. I was fascinated by these two and their history together! Their stories broke my heart. I have all the admiration for Tillie Cole for tackling the tough themes of racism and prejudice in such a readable way.

"Was my heart designed to allow only one in? But as I lay there, kissing both these men that’d so captured my soul, I realized that a heart is infinite. Love can expand and expand. My heart could hold as much as I was willing to let in."

This was a wild, sexy, gritty and violent story that in the end, was beautiful and uplifting. 'Crux Untamed' is definitely one of my favorite Tillie Cole books. The pain and suffering endured by Cowboy and Hush was absolutely hearbreaking but they were able to find love and acceptance and peace in their own way. And let's face it, their scenes with Sia were OFF THE CHARTS!! I was overjoyed that the three of them were able to find joy with their own brand of "normal."

"This world was ours. Our very own bit of heaven, here on earth."
