Will the demons from their past succeed in tearing them apart?
After personal tragedy strikes, Mohini Kapoor runs away from the city to her grandparents home in a village in Punjab. Though she manages to pick up the pieces of her broken self, and even builds a life for herself, the horror of her experience is difficult to forget. She buries it deep down inside her subconscious mind until the arrival of a stranger threatens to resurrect the old demons.
Reputed photojournalist, Aalok Ahuja, has to hide out for a few days to escape circumstances beyond his control. When his friend recommends Tejopur, a remote village in Punjab, Aalok expects life to be simple there and, perhaps, even boring - instead, his world is thrown into chaos by a woman more desirable, and vastly more complicated, than any he has ever known.
When their destinies collide, attraction flares, but secrets threaten their new found feelings. Should they cut and run or give love a chance?
My love affair with books began when I was a tot. A fabulous mother, who recognized the power of the written word, read to me and my sisters every night, introducing us to the wonderful world of the imagination.
Once I could read on my own, I graduated from fairy tales to adventure stories to romance, spending all my pocket money on books. My father served in the army and took the family along mostly wherever he went, resulting in experiences that beg to find a place in my books.
I am a doctor, but make time for my other passions – reading and writing stories, watching romantic comedies, and doing creative things with wool and a crochet hook. I also love solving the Hindu crossword, and - when my muse is elusive - I enjoy pitting my wits against my husband's at Scrabble®. When I have no other choice, I can be found in the kitchen putting together my 'world-famous' one-pot meals.
Writing about love and happy endings feeds my romantic soul. 'Scorched by His Fire' is my first published piece of romantic fiction, and is courtesy of Mills and Boon® India's Passions Contest which I won in 2013. 'The Cure was Love', also from Mills and Boon® India, released in November 2014.

Written in pristine language, with understated elegance and tongue-in-cheek humour, this was a breezy romance with all the tropes in place. It was lucid; the characters were unabashed in displaying their emotions ;-) All of it sautéed with Punjabi tadka made it all the more entertaining.
The hot and cold skirmishes between Mohini and Aalok were quite interesting and the confusion and drama that ensued with the arrival of more characters was downright hilarious at times. It reminded me of the classic comical capers or even the comedy of manners. Tiger the cat and Raja the teddy-bear were adorable, and were as much a part of the tumultuous interaction. And so was Mohini’s daughter Ria who added all the sweetness required to make a lovely story.
The village in Punjab and the charming old house with its garden was a perfect backdrop. The description showed how much the author loved writing about something very close to her heart.
A great entertainer, Reet. I hope you come up with more!
I had read 2 previous books by Reet Singh which I had enjoyed very much and I was not disappointed this time around as I found it unputdownable all the way through. A must read!
love can heal wounds and thats the reason mothers are seen kissing their child when they get hurt. No escape from love is a beautiful story of two distressed souls who ultimately find their happiness. A lovely read for second chance romance.
The long wait is finally over and Reet Singh has finally published her new novel “ No Escape From Love “ which is so aptly Titled . What can I say…..It’s a Reet Singh novel!!!! As always she has delivered another brilliantly awesome 5 star read. Like her previous two books “Scorched by His Fire” & “The Cure was Love” Reet had already raised the bars and with this story she has definitely succeeded to exceeded the expectations for her readers.
Reet has a preceptive ability to create stories that are intriguing, engaging, heartfelt and of course off the charts sexy. Her characters are multidimensional and very relatable. Her books will bring out all the feels. No Escape From Love is no different. I was laughing at times, but then I was kicked in the gut and my eyes had tears in them. But in the end she always puts me back together and I have a HUGE smile on my face. Both Aalok and Mohini characters were beautifully narrated , they were witty , fun but at the same time they were insecure and broken. They both had been through their shares of pains in their past. But as the saying going true love overcomes all obstacle. It’s a beautiful and emotional tale of love, pain , trusting , healing and moving on .It’s a beautiful fast paced page turning story which captured my attention from the get go .
What I love the most about Reet’s books is that she gives a fun and entertaining story but also so much more. Her books have such depth to them, you never really know what you’re going to get until you start reading. She knows how to balance the light and happy with the dark and sad perfectly. Her books flow perfectly and I always think the same thing in the end….I want more!!!
The more books I read by this author the more I fall in love with her writing. Her stories and characters just keep getting better and better. This book was so good, all I can really say is that this is a MUST READ!!!
I can’t wait to read Reet’s Next book and really hope the wait won’t be too long .
Reet Singh offers her latest, No Escape from Love and it doesn’t disappoint. Aalok and Mohini, both have unhappiness in their past. M is an untidy mess of a person with a short fuse, while A is calm and collected, and so, of course, the twain must meet. When they are together, the attraction is so overwhelming that it leaves space for little else as they unwittingly work towards a special HEA. What I love about Reet’s style of writing is her subtle sense of humour, her fluid prose, her utterly believable characters. I hope the next one is not too long in the coming.
Reet has penned an unforgettable tale. This is my first book from the author and I am looking forward to checking out her other books. Things I loved about the book were the eloquent, evocative narration, the settings and of course the lead characters Alok and Mohini.
Fighting with their respective pasts, their personal demons will they succeed to find a HEA?
Mohini and Aalok .. unusual names .. unusual story .. but sizzling chemistry. As a romance reader this story was all that I expected it to be and more. Reet has great command over language and her style is flawless. The character development and the story grow organically and keep the reader spell bound. I loved spending time with M and A and recommend the same to everyone.
It’s been a while since this author released a book, and I had been waiting for something new with bated breath. Suffice to say the wait was worth it because “No Escape from Love” lives up to the hype. What I had loved most about previous releases like “The Cure Was Love” and “Scorched by His Fire” was the irresistible combination of scorching chemistry and troubled characters. And that’s exactly what this new book delivers, as well.
This is the story of two people who’ve been scarred by something in their past. Mohini battles with the loss of her husband and the nagging doubt that she never even knew this man with whom she had a daughter. Aalok battles with the fear that he’ll one day turn into his abusive father, which is why he shies away from true commitment and tries to be a lucky-go-happy gigolo. Of course, when these two are thrown together, their lives turn upside down. What begins as a game of cat and mouse with quite some suspicions and animosity turns into an ‘opposites attract’ tale of love. There’s way more than physical attractions between them—though there’s plenty of that too—and once Mohini and Aalok finally muster of their courage, the sparks really begin to fly.
If you enjoy Indian romance with a steamy touch, a refreshing dash of humor liberally sprinkled into the story, authentic emotions and interesting protagonists, then you’re in for a treat.
An author gifted with eloquent prose is always a delight to read. Reet Singh has woven another interesting story packed with sizzling romance. The narrative is rich with good measure of humor, and the characters, though believable, are a bit strange in their spontaneous behavior.
When Alok and Mohini, two hot blooded characters hungry for love, are thrown together, the inevitable has to happen. The ‘chemistry’ turns into ‘physics’ rather too rapidly as the two are in too much of a hurry to get horizontal. Physical craving seemed to be the dominant factor in their equation. This was amply demonstrated by the manner in which Mohini goes to meet with Alok, nearly pleading for a reunion. And once again, without wasting time on the preliminaries, they end up in bed. Now that could be the typical Punjabi style of ‘love’, where action matters more than anything else. If you are looking for a tale loaded with steaming romance, and a HEA type of ending, go for it, for not many can do the love scenes better than this gifted author.
'No Escape From Love' is a sizzling romance between a cute, fiesty heroine Mohini and handsome hulk Aalok. Both have a tumultuous past and are trying to fight their demons, they help each other to come to terms with their lives conflicts. I would have loved to know more about secondary characters' story and motivation.
Written in the signature style by Reet Singh, the flow is smooth and flawless making one finish the novel at one go. Explosive chemistry between the two protagonists makes it a hot read. Recommended for all romance lovers.
An interesting story with beautiful dialogues, lots of romance and lots of humour in a different setting, rural Punjab. I loved the realistic characters and the way the author has depicted their emotions. All the characters have been given an important place in the story, be it Mohini and Aalok or Ritvick and his fiancé Tina. Even little Ria has an important role and so soes Mohini’s cat, Tiger. Initially, I hated Govind for lying to Mohini but later my feelings for him changed.
Reet Singh has written a delightful romance set in Tejopur in rural Punjab. It has the energy and madcap craziness of a rom-com and the intense emotions of a romantic drama. While the protagonists Aalok and Mohini will make you root for them, I loved the hysterical Tina and the she-cat named Tiger with a mind of her own. Read it to find out more about the denizens of Tejopur.
Loved the character of Alok. The happy ever after stole my heart. The village setting was charming. Wanted to read it thanks to the eye catching cover. I recommend this highly.
An enjoyable read. Made me very nostalgic about my beloved Punjab. A colorful tale full of misadventures for the lead pair, Mohini and Aalok - the chemistry between them is the icing on the cake. Highly recommended.
Loved the village setting as a getaway for Aalok and Mohini . One gets away to escape scandal and the other to combat distress. Fast paced and engaging...I recommend it to all who love romance.
A story of two broken souls. Mohini and Aalok. Two broken souls are woven together to make them complete again. This book has a few laughs. A very easy read, one would love the chemistry between Mohini and Aalok. Small instances have been added by the author to make this a very cute romance. For eg., I loved the way Aalok got the teddy bear for Mohini. It was such a sweet touch which we women just love. I liked the earthy feel of this story. Reet has brought the happiness of Punjab to her readers via her story.
The best part of the story are the backstories of both the characters. It balanced the sweetness in the romance.
There are a few secondary characters in this story whom you will just love. Tina and Ritvik (Ritvik of course for personal reasons I will always love a character named so .. hahahah) But they added a humor quotient to the story.
If you love a hot and cute romance, this book is definitely for you.
NO ESCAPE FROM LOVE is a sweet, second chance romance. Love finds the most interesting places to visit and this book is no different.
I had read this book last year but the review was in limbo. Here it is now, I recommend you pick this book. It is the right romance to read this winter and enjoy Reet’s writing and soak in the beauty of Punjab.
Love, romance and responsibilities bring an unlikely couple together. I loved the fast, light romance and great chemistry. No Escape From Love funny, interesting and well written.
Mohini and Aalok are not looking for love but are drawn to each other. She is living away from the city and Aalok wants a break from the city. The village and the simple pace of life bring them together.
The story is based in a small village of Punjab and in Delhi. I picked this book since I love everything Reet writes. I also liked its setting in a small village in Punjab, reminding of the open fields, small houses and freedom. It has a feel-good factor and the beautiful descriptions brought the village, the locals and the vibrant work alive.
Mohini is a designer and runs a factory in the village. She employees the locals and the descriptions felt real and the clothes beautiful.
The chemistry shared between Aalok and Mohini was a plus and had me turning the pages. The author writes very well, her sentences flow along with the story. No Escape From Love is a fast read, a quick romance novel with interesting characters and funny incidents.
The past holds Mohini back, a kid who is her responsibility and future. Even though they both feel the attraction, their circumstances make it difficult for them to accept their love for each other.
Love means you will move out of your comfort zone and this was no different. No Escape From Love dissolved all issues and blocks from their life while they blossomed together.
.
What Works in NO ESCAPE FROM LOVE : Very sweet story. A story of the life of any woman who loved too much. The romance blossomed so naturally that it felt just right. Reet’s writing is always spot on! .
Some Slips in NO ESCAPE FROM LOVE : I found the total denial of Mohini a bit much. The relatives need their own love story. I expect another book soon from Reet. I wanted to know more about Mohini’s husband. Just my curiosity. .
I enjoyed No Escape From Love just as much as the previous books by Reet. It’s perfect for a fast, light read. Good language and story, No Escape from Love is the book for readers who are romance lovers.
I would like to know what this book is about. Is it about anything other than the underdeveloped plot and characters? I detected no story at all, or rather a confused one. There's no romance because the plot is unhinged-ly underdeveloped with one dimensional characters with vague motivations further destroy the plot.
