Very well written book, which I found useful not only for myself as a self-diagnosed autistic man in my late forties, but useful to lend to others who want to know more about ASD in general. The language is clear and easy to read, which I appreciate. Lots of laugh out loud moments, and admittedly some tears too.

I found a lot of useful advice going forwards on how best to deal with different situations, and could readily recognise almost all of the scenarios from my own life to date, which is both a blessing and a curse. In a way, I'm glad I found out that I am autistic as it removes many of the question marks that have hung over me for the past forty years, why I think and feel the way I do, and that I'm not alone even though I am literally alone.

It has helped me to understand why I've struggled to "fit in", my anxiety, depression, and tendencies to end my life of struggle. Now I have a better, clearer understanding of myself, I hope to live a better life and to a ripe old age.

Previously I had a lot of trouble explaining this topic to people so now I can just tell them to read this!
