Aislinn Munroe doesn't have time for the petty social rules of high school. She's ready for the social clicks and mean girls to go by the wayside. Aislinn is ready to move on to college, she just needs to get through the next few months. Her world is rocked when her brother arrives home from college with his roommate, Teagan Aldridge. Immediately, the attraction begins and they truly begin a new chapter in both of their lives.
Trinity Hanrahan encapsulates the YA genre beautifully, and the nature of budding love with all the naive moves young folks make when navigating through the emotional pathways of relationships. Hanrahan captures the big issues of the social hierarchy of high school, self-image, and the taboo of falling for someone older all in a remarkably well-written piece. In the thick of raising kids in this age group, not only does Pivotal Moments dig in and get down and dirty with many of these coming of age issues, she also provides a small glimpse into the parental perspective of dealing with teens and young adults about the age-old issue of sex. Her realistic modern day approach is refreshing, and her characters develop and mature over the course of the work. Hats off to Hanrahan for tackling some big issues.
I'm looking forward to reading the other selections in this collection.
I love Pivotal Moments by Trinity Hanrahan, and have read it quite a few times. Teagan is one of my favorite book boyfriends, his relationship with Aislinn is so sweet and innocent; that is so nice to read because it is rare in books now.
I also adored Teagan and how willing he was to go at Aislinn’s speed, realizing and even stating that she was younger and innocent. He realized that she was worth it all! It is the perfect first/forever love story that brings me right back to that time in my life and makes me wonder why I couldn’t have had a Teagan!
Also The writing style with this is book is so clear and concise I loved that about this book and the author.

I read 12 Hours in Paradise by Kathryn Berla. It was so well-written, cute, and relaxing. A fun summer read. The love interest was dreamy, the time frame of the story difference from what I am used to, and I highly recommend it for a sweet romance.
