For a book with such a lurid cover and real, awful stories of legal mistakes, this really oughtn't to have been so dull. It's also quite enraging in failing to draw the conclusions it's putting right in front of us. The police have been fitting people up since the dawn of time sadly and presumably will continue to do so forever. It's all a bit 'oh well' for the poor unfortunates listed here who bankrupt themselves attempting to prove their innocence - or worse, serve entire sentences even though all the judges and courts agree they are indeed innocent, because they received a 'fair trial' whose conclusions couldn't therefore be overturned
