After his brother is killed, Caleb seeks answers. He follows one of the men from the funeral, needing closure. He wanders inside Krave, one of the hottest gay clubs in the city, watching Raven from the bar, drawn to the man by something Caleb can't explain. But when Caleb decides to leave, it's Raven who confronts him, demanding to know why Caleb has been stalking him the entire day. Raven can't believe he's found his mate. The only trouble is, Kovachi has bewitched Raven, and now he feels a compulsion to kidnap Caleb and take his mate to the enemy. The new leader of the Hunters is in Raven's head, and the only way to stop him from controlling Raven is to put a wall up in his mind. It's a temporary fix, but one that allows Raven to show Caleb that he's not alone in this world, that he has Raven in his corner as Caleb mourns his loss.
[Siren The Lynn Hagen ManLove Erotic Alternative Paranormal Romance, shape-shifter, M/M, HEA]
Lynn Hagen loves writing about the somewhat flawed, but lovable. She also loves a hero who can see past all the rough edges to find the shining diamond of a beautiful heart.
You can find her on any given day curled up with her laptop and a cup of hot java, letting the next set of characters tell their story.
So, perhaps with the exception of Devil… all of the Knights have been left hanging. Nyx with his arm, Saul’s family and dealing with Declan’s hellhound father, Raven with a mind block, and Bayne waiting his turn… oh I can’t remember if there was any kind of hang on for Kivoni…
I guess completing their story will interfere with the bigger picture? I’m finding it quite annoying, to be honest. Just too much stuff left in the air at the end of each one, unlike previous Bracverse books.
It was so entertaining reading about Raven, and Caleb, along with many other characters from the Brac universe (the Santiago Brothers, Maverick, Panahasi, Christian). I was absolutely pulled into this story with all of its danger, friendship, and humor. I'll be so glad when they finally kill this villain, since he's even more powerful than Joe Hephner was. I love how this author puts so much personality into her characters, and she's right about the bad guy. When one of them dies, another evil person replaces him, and so on and so forth. I think it will finally end (at least I'm hoping) when this series ends, which of course, will sadden me a bit, but I'll be digging right into the author's next series. I really liked the mates of these Knights, and their stories are all pretty awesome.
This book deserved 5 stars because the main characters especially Caleb was funny. He support Raven, trusted him from the beginning( not reject, denied rude and skittish) although they had known each others for short time
