This is the first book I'm reading from the author and I must say I really loved her writing style. Terror and Temptation took off right from chapter one and it never lagged speed until the end. It kept me at the edge the entire time, especially the climax is breathtaking.
Detective Rossi is investigating the murders in Tampa and somehow all deaths are connected to a local bar, Blue Moon. The manager Tessa is too attractive for his own good. He could tell she wasn't completely honest with him and is hiding something. While fighting the attraction, he gets closer to her to figure out what she's hiding.
As days go by, the killer leaves a trail of more bodies and readers are led on a cat and mouse chase along with Detective Rossi. We travel with them wondering who's the killer. The clues are all perfectly placed and we know one of the character we met is the killer, but cracking his identity is like matching the puzzle piece.
I liked it a lot and I'd say the writing is something that made me feel like I'm savoring the words. I like the books that makes me feel I'm savoring it. I also liked how Tessa thinks logically and doesn't argue with Rossi when he says something that's logical. I like her thinking and how she figures out the things, in fact, helps Rossi with the investigation.
All the elements in this story played out well and my other favorites are the supporting characters Eleanor and Marge. They love to gossip, but they also serve as a key to crack what possibly appeared as a cold case with no leads.
I'll be coming back to read more from this author and I highly recommend this book to anyone who love a romantic suspense.

This is book 3 in the series and what a roller coaster ride of emotions this book took me on. The plot is fast paced, the action is definitely hard core and there is angst. The emotions in this story will have you grabbing tissues. This book is a bit darker than in the other two for the heroine Tessa is plagued by bad luck and her bad luck just spirals down and gets worse until she encounters Detective Dominic Rossi. I felt so bad for her yet at the same time, you get the sexy that is Dom and he is one dominant male who isn’t afraid of life. Dom doesn’t like secrets yet Tessa gets under his skin and he wants to help her even though he knows she has a Ton of secrets. There is tons of sadness in this book , more on par with book 2 but sadder. There is tons of suspense, drama, angst , tears, hopelessness, yet there is passion, action, hope and love. Dominic and Tessa had this connection, this chemistry that made you root for them as a couple. Dom knows Tessa is hiding something but he wants to help her. Can he be the one to save her from what is stalking her? Will Tessa ever admit what her secrets are and what sent her running for her life ? This is one story that you don’t want to miss.

This book is a little different the most books I read but I loved it just the same.
Detective Dominic Rossi I found sex. He kept his distance from love and for good reason. I found him passionate and loyal about his job. I love how he thought things through instead of going into a situation half cocked.
Tessa Redman had a lot on her plate and I truly felt for her. Between having to deal with the bar, her niece, and what was going on with her brother there was the murder that was happening around her. Seems like things will get really bad before they get better.
I love the chemistry that was there between Tessa and Dominic. I also loved the protectiveness that Dominic felt for Tessa.
This book is a romance murder mystery. It will keep you on the edge of your seat and there are a few twist along the way.
I am truly glad I got a chance to read this book.

When people start getting killed after visiting Tessa’s restaurant, Dominic comes to investigate. Dom is a police detective and believes all the murders are connected to Tessa. Her ex is released from prison and is after her for turning him in. He was a cop that had a gambling problem and was taking bribes. Dom has several cases he’s working and thinks several are related. No matter where Tessa goes, her ex finds her. Can Dom keep her safe?
Great suspenseful story. Two sex scenes. Lots of action. Several grammar mistakes that made he have to reread the line several times before I knew what was being said.

Terror And Temptation by Vella Day is a phenomenal romantic suspense. Ms. Day has given us a book that is not only well-written, but is loaded with outstanding characters. Tessa is taking a break from school and running her brother's bar and babysitting his daughter while he is in the hospital waiting for a new liver. Dominic is a cop investigating a murder when he meets Tessa. Dominic and Tessa's story is rich with suspense, action, drama and spice. Murder and mayhem will keep readers glued to this book. I enjoyed reading Terror And Temptation and look forward to reading more from Vella Day in the future. Terror And Temptation is book 3 of the Pledged To Protect Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.

This was a biggest pile of hot mess I’ve ever skipped mostly through.
There was just TOO MUCH going on. It was just one drama after another and it just became this huge pile of shit with a clumsy romance plot bow on top.
Personally I prefer my mystery/drama/police procedural stories to be a little more streamlined with less drama and a SINGLE mystery suspect. Red herrings are ok, but not if they are also being criminal and creepy as all hell. Two weirdos operating in tandem muddy the story and just make it confusing and hard to follow along if there are twice as many characters to remember. Not to mention eventually it becomes unclear who knows what after a while, like it did with this story.

Omg! Another thrilling roller-coaster ride of suspense & trying to guess who dunnit, with a side of steamy hot romance! ... I was on the edge of my seat from the get-go, as I turned the pages like crazy not wanting to stop and to see what would happen next! ...The 3rd stand-alone book in ‘Pledged To Protect’ is a contemporary romantic-suspense must read! ... “Terror & Temptation” has a fresh unique plot, amazing attention-to-details and a likable H/h with witty dialogue that will keep readers engaged & guessing what’s going on with twists & turns! I highly recommend this to adult fans of fiction & look forward to more from this author!

From Terror to Temptation is a good suspenseful read with great primary and secondary characters.
Loved the chemistry between Sexy Detective Dominic Rossi and Tessa Redman along with the storyline and mysterious murders revolving around The Blue Moon, restaurant/bars patrons along with Tessa’s fathers murder. We meet Eleanor and Marge, very observant elderly ladies and can’t help but love them instantly and help Dom’s investigation.
Had some typographical errors but didn’t deter from the storyline.
A must read and Looking forward to the next book by Vella Day

Terror And Temptation is a fabulous romantic suspense by Vella Day. Ms. Day has produced a book that is well-written and packed with outstanding characters. Tessa and Dominic meet when he's investigating a murder. Their story is loaded with drama, humor, sizzle, action and suspense. I enjoyed reading Terror And Temptation and look forward to reading more from Vella Day soon. This is book 3 of the Pledged To Protect Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.

Dom is a homicide cop who is looking into the shooting of a woman, when he meets Tessa he knows she in trouble and tries to protect her and her niece.. This story has many twists that It keeps you on edge and wondering what will happen next. I voluntarily read this book and this is my honest review..

I think the title is very appropriate and the genre is spot on! Definitely full of suspense with romantic undertones throughout the terror and temptation. I was unable to put this book down until the end. Make sure you set aside time for this one as I don't think you will want to leave until the end.

Good story but book needed some serious editing. There were a few TSTL moments and that just turns me off — what LEO who is trying desperately to protect a witness he’s attracted to, just let’s her drive off to work alone?! Could have been so much better.

Sexy
Liked the “broken” characters. They both leery of each other but attracted. I like these different parallels as they come together. It’s also a very suspenseful book about domestic violence which is so relevant in today’s world.

Great police thriller
This story kept you on your toes until the end. It was also a great love story. Poor Tessa had two wackos after her but her nigh in shining armor, Dominic saved her. A great love story!
