A concise, authoritative account of magic and mystery from the myths of the ancient world to modern day voodoo and devil worship. The author illuminates the hidden realms of witches, sorcerers and satanists, demons, diabolists and occultists.
Francis X. King was an occult writer and editor who wrote about tarot, divination, witchcraft, magic, sex magic, tantra, and holistic medicine. He was a member of the Society of the Inner Light, an offshoot of the Alpha et Omega, which in turn was an offshoot of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn.
Francis X. King is a well-known British Occult Historian, who was responsible for much of the material in the ''Man, Myth, & Magic'' Encyclopedia. This is a reiteration of some of that material with profuse amount of illustrations. Lovely in the Octavo Hardback UK edition.
I bought this book from a second hand shop in moffat, Scotland, UK. There are some amazing artwork and colour/black & white pictures in this book, and although there is a lot of historical information, I feel that the author has been a bit biased and that some of the historical information he gives he has "beefed" it up - you most certainly get the view that he tends to be "behind" (not sure if thats the right word to use" the Christian point of view. Still - its worth it for the pictures and historial dates alone.)O(
