Artie, is small, not very athletic, but he has heart and wants to try out for the lacrosse team. He has amazing friends that have his back, but when a bully on the team makes life hard for Artie, he isn't sure he is cut out for the team.

A warm graphic novel that sets the tone of how to stand up to bullies and to not stop believing in yourself. I loved how the author focused on him having support from both his friends, family, and coach. While this might not be realistic to most kids, it still gives the positive message that there are people you can go to for help.

I definitely want to look for the other books in this series about different students and how they handle playing sports!

Life can be tough when you are the little guy. But letting bullies know they are being bullies is the right thing to do no matter how tall you are.
