Ravaged is the perfect title for this book because that is exactly what it did to me. I am usually such a prude when it comes to sex but... Let us take a moment to discuss just how HOT this book this is. Hale is a incubus and an expert lover. This man did things that left me hot, bothered, and turning down my a/c. Let that sink in. Now aside from the material that will render me unable to ever look the author in the eye again, this book is much more than just sex and romance. Ravaged is about murder, secrets, and family lies. Someone is stalking Hale and leaving a trail of bodies in their wake and tying it to him. But why? Without spoilers, I can't tell you, lol. Secrets come out. Hale learns about a family he didn't even know he had. And then there is the Order. They are shrouded in secrecy. What are they planning? In the midst of all that madness, Hale meets Jessica. Having never "needed" anyone, Hale suddenly finds himself falling and falling hard. Jessica is still reeling from her last relationship and not interested in what Hale is peddling but she can't seem to stay away either. I am really curious if there is some underlying cause that is drawing these two together. Inquiring minds want to know! I cannot wait for the follow up to Ravaged!

Hale is one of the sexiest and most arrogant heroes this author has ever written. In one moment, you want to jump his bones, and in the next he says something that makes you want to give him a good throat punch. But underneath all of it, he's just a lonely incubus who doesn't realize how lonely he really is until Jessica comes along. She is a classic beauty, someone whom Hale doesn't usually find attractive with her longer skirts and her buttoned-up librarian look. But there's something about her that makes him toss his rules about women aside and want to risk the pain and heartache he could cause her (not to mention himself) right out the window. However, he's not just a dangerous being himself, but he has someone after him, framing him for a string of murders that seem to be the work of an incubus. The thing is, he has never met any of these women. When his friends Charlie and Gen become involved, things really become hairy. Add Seth and Maddie to the mix, and it becomes even more mysterious and frightening.

Hale has some of the greatest one-liners, and even with all of his machismo and attitude, I wanted to help him and see him happy. Jessica is a strong female character who doesn't take any of his crap from the first moment he insinuates himself into her life. The rest of the characters add so much color and brilliance to the story and made me want to keep reading to find out where they all fit in. It was sweet, sexy, hot, wicked, dangerous, ugly, gritty and heartbreaking. I loved it and can't wait to see if the author has more in store for us with all of the players in this tale.

Incubus in Love!

Victoria Flynn continues her storytelling with a break off tale from her Voodoo Revival series, Ravished. Just when my heart was bursting with the feels, at the close of her 4 book series, I found more, with Ravished.

Characters are revisited in this tumultuous love story and hearts and pulses will flutter.

Victoria has a talent for taking you to New Orleans, even though you may never have visited. Paranormal lives become important enough that you root for the bad boy, and anxiously await to see if a happily ever after can happen for his lost girl.

Well thought out, and creatively unique, you will want to start at the beginning with A Soul’s Sacrifice, book 1, and follow the path where Victoria leads. Her crumbs are delicious!!!

It sounded good - New Orleans, demons, witches and an incubus, add a dash of murder-mystery to the romance, it should have been a winner. Instead the story was told, and told and told via one tedious trope after another. The H's hair was 'long on top, shorter on the sides', just like every other H in 2018, the h determines to not to have sex on 1st date, but does on the 2nd! And it was bareback, and while he thinks about it, coz it's a first for him, they never discuss it or the consequences. None of these characters were developed or fleshed out, they were all tropes. Underwhelming.

Jessica moved to New Orleans for a new life.
She was quickly discovered by the cocky arrogant Hale, who initially just annoyed her.
Hale turns out to be an incubus...Every woman needs an incubus in their lives. Upon reading about them, I have to wonder if my husband may be one..
This book is an exceptional read if you are into hot and heavy paranormal.
I will definitely read more by Victoria Flynn.

Love story to New Orleans and more

I really enjoyed this book. You could feel the authors love of New Orleans. There was plenty of steam and inappropriate humor. I loved the foul mouthed succubus lead. I'm looking forward to seeing where this series goes!
