Devyn O’Neil, princess of the Irish Mob, was raised to know her place. Marrying a man of her father’s choosing has always been her fate. Yet, she never imagined that one day she’d play the part of a pawn between men on the verge of war. She never dreamed she’d be betrothed to a Russian badman.
Timofei Vetrov, son of New York’s Bratva king, grew up to be a bad boy prince. Taking for granted his life of privilege, he scoffed at the rules and did as he pleased. When the Irish murdered his mother, her death changed everything. He never dreamed he’d one day be king. He never imagined such a loss would thrust him into the role of a real man.
A marriage, meant to unite the Irish with the Russians and forge a bond of peace, soon becomes much more. The fathers that bind them together cannot foresee the strength that Timofei and Devyn can uncover in their union. Together, their love has the potential to change the game entirely—yet it is a force that can only be reckoned with once found.
Hayley Faiman was born and raised in the Central Valley of California. She and her husband met when they were still in High School. They were married a few years later. They lived in Oregon while her husband was in the US Coast Guard. After living in Hill Country, Texas, for eight years and three years in East Texas, they now call North Carolina home and spend their time with their two teenage sons at all their events, screaming from the stands as they swim their hearts out!
I do not know what to say. Let's just leave it at the fact that my reviews for the book 1 and 2 pretty much sum up my problems with this whole series. Because in all honesty, there is not a lot of difference between the 11 books in this series.
⬇⬇⬇⬇⬇⬇⬇⬇⬇ Might be a bit spoilerish!🛑❌😑
First, this cover is absolutely awful! The worst in the whole series.
Second, I was interested in this one, however, by now I should have known better. Especially since Timofei went on and promised Devyn that he would behave nicer to her than her father was to his mother. So, he promised to be a good husband, no violence or cheating on his part. Let's say that he went back on the first part pretty fast.
Third, again with the pregnancy thing. The contract states that Devyn has to be pregnant in a year otherwise the marriage is void. (And then Timofei amends it to three months! 😲) And Devyn does not know! She asked Timofei if she should get some kind of contraceptive and he's like "No, you need to get pregnant". Like WTF!!🤯🤯🤯🤯 That's so DISGUSTING.
Fourth, when the contract is no longer is a problem and they agree that they do not want kids now, there is an epilogue that shows that in 18 months she will be pregnant.
What's the fascination with pregnancy in this series?
Eight volumes in and I'm just as hooked on these Badmen as I was in book 1!!
Devyn is young, a bit naive. She is unsure of expectations, but has the strength to tell Timofei what she wants. On the surface it seems that she was the princess of the Irish mob, but things are not all they seem. Timofei is hardened, but has a soft side. He is patient, and knows how to coax her strong side out from behind her shyness! Much like Devyn it seemed he was the prince of the Russian Mafia, until a tragic incident changed his father, and his expectations for Timofei.
Their immediate attraction was palpable. Even though this was an arranged marriage between the heirs to two powerful mafia families, there was a strong attraction that bound Timofei and Devyn. They both had to make difficult decisions, ones that showed their strength.
I loved how Hayley wrapped up some storylines that have been boiling to the top in the last few volumes of this series. There were some shocking moments and ones that were finally taken care of. Every volume of this series has me wanting more and more.
Timofei and Devyn was arranged to be married by their father. Devyn was only 15 and Timofei 24. He couldnt give a shit about her and continues fucking their wedding planner. Once he saw her at their engagement party, dressed like a slut, he kissed her hard and he kept her dick in his pants for her only. Seems like the asshole has been enthralled by her huh. They get married and went to France for their honeymoon. He was hot then cold with her. Fucking her against the railing of their apartment like a voyeur. Meek Devyn likes it and accepted every bad treatment by him as it was the way she was raised by her family. He was addicted to be in her pussy every single time he can. 🤢 The arrangement stipulated they need to have a child by 1 year time and her father threatened Timofei to speedify the baby arrangement by 3 months. That old man was a cunning one since he already gave Devyn a birth control shot before their wedding so it was impossible for her to breed in a year time. When Devyn was almost got rape by his brother’s bestfriend, Timofei reacted badly. He went to the wedding planner for a fuck but didnt go through the fucking. Tsk3. Timofei killed his father. Devyn was kidnapped by her sister and brother (who were fucking each other. What?) and even her best friend was involved too. So when Timofei rescued her and killed them. She then killed her father too. 18 months later, she was 6 weeks pregnant. End of story.

This is Timofei’s and Devyn’s story. I’ve “watched” Timofei evolve throughout the series. He’s matured so much since his days of running around and partying! I could hardly wait for his story!
With everything this kid went through (seven prior stories) in this series, I expected a stronger tale. He deserved a stronger story. His heroine is on point. Perfect for Timofei. But I don’t know this Timofei. I expected a darker element in his personality. I expected a bigger and darker “tada” when he finally confronted his nemesis. I felt like this story did not do Timofei justice. I am happy he found his HEA however...
I've been reading the beautiful, & brilliant Hayley Faiman since the very first book of the Russian Bratva (and actually I was reading her before this series), and have LOVED EVERY ONE OF THEM! And even though I can't help but to fan girl gush about one of my favorite authors at the top of my list, I do have a point, which is I've been waiting for Timofei's story since he first made an appearance in the series, and I wasn't disappointed in the slightest! Timofei Vetrov is the son of the very powerful New York City's Bratva king, and has had a marriage arranged for him for years that he won't be able to get out of. All he has to do is wait until she turns 18 years old. He's never had a problem going against the rules, until his mother was murdered by the Irish, which changed everything. Now they need the marriage in order to unite with the Irish, especially since his father has never been the same since that day, and now Timofei will be the king very soon. Devyn O'Neil is the youngest princess in the Irish Mob, and would never do anything to rock the boat. She has always known that she will have to marry the man her father picked out for her, and has trained to be a dutiful wife. Will she find happiness in her contracted marriage with the bad boy prince of the Russian Bratva?! With every story in this series, it's super hard for me to try and condense what I just read into a review without spoiler douchery. Betrothed to the Badman is another exciting masterpiece by the off the charts talented Ms. Faiman. Normally, I really stay mad at the Bratva men for half the book with their questionable douchey decisions, but surprisingly, Timofei didn't make a ton of those, and he's the one that I thought would, which made me love him quicker than usual. And I adored watching Devyn evolve from a naive girl, into a very strong woman. They scorched the pages of my kindle with their FIERY FLAMES of sexy times from the get go, while the colorful cast of secondaries that I love so much, were all present & accounted for to add even more depth. And in diabolically brilliant fashion, the twists & turns were off the charts insane, which had me from singing colorful metaphors, then dropping my usual loud f-bombs, and finally silence. Now, this is where my eyes really wanted to flood. After I finished this epic piece of goodness, I was reading about the next book to come, and it said that it will be the last book in this series. I literally wanted to cry, because I'll NEVER EVER have enough of this series! I'm not sure how Ms. Faiman keeps writing these fantastic books so close together, but I'll be forever grateful! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!
I have not read any books by this author before and have clearly missed a treat since this is the eighth book in this series.... fortunately it was not necessary to read the previous stories to understand the plot but I suspect the same characters feature throughout the course of the series and for that reason alone I wish I had started from the beginning ...
The writing is fluent and expressive..and the world in which the characters interact feels realistic....the two main characters enter into a marriage contract for the sake of peace between their two families... Timofei comes from the brutal Bratva world he is rich and powerful and his moral compass is way off and in truth he really has few redeeming qualities but he does try to be better for his new wife and this is book world so for that alone he is irresistible.... Devyn is an Irish Mobster’s daughter a beautiful and smart young woman; I loved how her strength of character grows through the book as both she and Timofei are forced to deal with the machinations of those who purport to be their friends and family.... I was also thankful that neither of the protagonists, who were virtual strangers to each other, immediately fell in love...their relationship felt more genuine as a result...
I really liked the inclusion of the Marriage Contract at the beginning of the book...this was a clever addition which negated the need for long explanations regarding the nature of their union ; in addition there was a summary of the Bratva Structure which again prevented narrative being spent on clarification of the characters roles and responsibilities.....
Within these pages is a story of betrayal, revenge, loyalty and honour intertwined with an imperfect but touching romance full of passion and love...... This book was reviewed for Summer's Eve Reads
Even though Devyn was so young at eighteen she was definitely more mature than some previous women in this series. It did help that she has known a little of the mob life and what is expected of her. That made her perfect for Timofei. And while Timofei is as arrogant and controlling as all the Russian Bratva men, he seemed to be a bit gentler while dealing with his young wife.
The storyline of Timofei taking over, dealing with his crazy father and Devyn's crazy father, was brilliant! I couldn't wait to see what was going to get thrown at this couple and how it would be dealt with. And the sex, this couple had major chemistry! Devyn got it good from Tomfei, and the man was a sexual genius with a woman's body.
I am both excited and sad for the next book. I am dying for Konstantin's story but I also know it will be the final book. Keeping my fingers crossed we might see an Irish spinoff!
An arranged marriage, done years ago to keep the Irish and Russian mafia from going head to head is now being celebrated.
Devyn the Irish princess and Timofei the Bratva king are to marry to keep the peace. They both knew this was coming. But neither wanted it. Devyn has no say in anything that is her life. Her father is a nut, he rules his family with an iron hand. His whole family is psychotic in his rules.
Timofei will do what he has to do to keep the peace, but he will not let this ruin his life or love life. He will take a wife but keep his who*es. But when he sees Devyn at the engagement party she is all he can think about. He changes his whole outlook on this marriage. But when he finds out that the contract his father signed is in jeopardy what will he do to keep his bride.
Man, out of everything that has happened to and in this family, this is my favorite book. I loved it. This whole story keeps you guessing what will happen next. But no matter what, you know there is a love story in there.
What a polite mafia prince we had here "eye roll". He asks people for lifts and hires bodyguards. "More eye roll". I thought I'd give another book in this series one more go (since it's free on unlimited) and because the plot always sounds interesting. But it's nothing but betrayal and suspicions amongst each other. I prefer to read mafia books that show absolute loyalty with each other and let the war/action be with other organisations. I also like to see the power and respect the hero gets but 47% into this nonsense and I get a mafia prince running around all over the place on his lonesome. He is plotting to become king and he has no ther protection? Do rival organizations hold no threat at all? This author should stop using the word 'mafia' if she can't even create more plausible scenes and scenarios relating to mafia life.
I was expecting a lot more from this book. Out all the other books this was the one I didn't like. I really did not like how weak Devyn was. The way she was treated by Fie like she was nothing at times but I really disliked the part where she overheard a phone call of Fie with Yakov about having to get her pregnant in 3 months instead of a year if he doesn't she needs to go back to her father all to get help from Devyns father. She asked Fie if it's true and he says "Its business you need to understand it has nothing to do with you" After that all that Fri had to do is have sex with her and she forgave him. It happened time and time again and every single time she would forgive him right away. I hate how weak she was at times like that.
First off...that cover is just...to put it nicely NOT APPROPRIATE. I wish she had just had a suited guy from neck below with simply the book's title because this cover is just.. I can't even look at it.
The model is no way near any way remotely close to what Timofei is said to be. Ahhh why why dear author why.
Now the story.. it started off good but then it's sex sex sex sex rude ahole demonstration then sex sex... and that's it.
Hayley Faiman has done it again Betrothed to the Badman is one fantastic read , can be read as a standalone but I'll suggest that you read Forever my Badman before you start this or you can read all of the Russian Bratva series you wont regret it . After the last book I was so excited to see Timofeis story and to see him finally take his father down and to see how he'd react to his betrothed in person. When these two are faced with one another they feel an unexpected spark and a attraction that can't be denied . I really adored Devyn she blossoms through out the book it was quite beautiful to see her grow out of the step ford wife persona that her father and sister ingrained in her . Timofei Timofei Timofei just wow he gets a shocking surprise when the bride he is to marry ends up being his dream woman there is no one he sees but her , helps the heroine set free the vixen she's been holding in , and he did make me angry a time or two but he makes up for it in the end . They help the other be who they are meant to be , the sex scenes are so steamy witch isn't a surprise because hey it's a Hayley Faiman story . I can't wait to read the next and finale book in the series it's going to be bitter sweet but I'm so excited . copy provided for honest review **************************************** hero=10 heroine=10 secondary characters=10 Chemistry=10 steam=10 romance=9 humor=4 darkness level=5 action=5 mystery=4 enjoyment=10 angst=3 story line=10 Story ending=10 character development=10 pacing=10 Plot=10 cover=10 stars=5 author=10 would I recommend this book=yes would I re read this book= yes would I read future books by this author=yes
Author has posted a copy of a contract which was an interesting way to start off this book.
Timofei “Fei” Vetrov is not happy with his current situation. Devyn “Devvy” O’Neil is a little apprehensive about her current situation. Our author is very good at creating the frustration that Devvy must feel about the whole thing. She’s also very good about showing how the men in their world have a hard time in shutting off the outside when their business seems so much a part of who they are. Fei is certainly a man of contradictions where Devvy is concerned.
It was interesting to watch Devvy bloom as a woman. At the beginning she seems so timid, so unsure of herself and of her husband. He’s a man that’s not sure how to act toward his wife. It was interesting to watch him become a husband. I have read one other book by this author but it was for another one of her series. But even though I didn’t start this series from the beginning she has got me hooked. Fei seems to have learned to separate his two worlds. This is good because for Devvy to continue to flower she needs his full attention. But she also understands that the family business will always be there. It’s an ending that shows that happiness can be found anywhere if you just look for it and want it. The ending taught me that I need to go back and see what the other seven books are about. My sadness comes from finding out that there’s only one more book to come but this is one that I can see myself reading more than once.
I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
Well I expected nothing less than the best from Mrs. Faiman and she definitely didn't disappoint with this book. I really couldn't wait for this book. I've kind of been waiting for this book since back in book four or five.
I really enjoyed Timofei and Devyn in this book. I wasn't quite sure what to expect with their relationship. I wasn't quite sure if I would love or hate them together. Especially since they didn't know each other at all. But I really liked them together.
Timofei has a lot resting on his shoulders at the beginning of this book. He's about to take down his father and take over for him. Also he has to merge two different families with his upcoming marriage. I found him to be sweet, kind, and caring at times. But at other times I found him to be over controlling at times, which I had to roll my eyes at.
Oh Devyn..... I felt for the poor girl. It didn't seem like she mattered at all to her family. That she was only good as a chess piece to them. In fact I couldn't stand her family, except maybe at the end with her oldest brother a little bit.
I want to say that although I did enjoy this book. The thing with Timofei's dad was a bit anticlimactic, the build up to it in the other books made me think something bigger or more was going to happen. And it was just kind of, eh.... But I will say there was definitely some excitement at the end.
I'm giving this book 4 Stars out of 5!!!!!
*** I received an ARC of this book for my honest opinion***
I got so hooked on this series, it's not even funny. This book was SO. GOOD!!!
I'll start by saying that, even though you could probably read this as a standalone, you'd be really missing out on an awesome story line if you do. This is book 8 in the series and it definitely continues what happened in the previous books.
This is the story of Timofei, Russian Bratva crown prince, and Devyn, his Irish princess child bride. We knew from couple of books ago that their respective fathers had drawn a contract for the two of them to get married upon her turning 18. So she's finally 18 in this book and Timofei is mentally prepared to make her his wife. Devyn is very mature for an 18-year-old, mostly due to growing up in the life and understanding how things worked when one lived within the Mafia fold. But she is still 18, and when she learns more specifics about the contract, she is in shock.
There are so many twists and turns in this book!!! So many!!! Some of them were expected from how the previous book ended, but let me tell you, others were just insane and I was just left with no words in my head from it. And the ending. OMG the ending!! So sweet!!!
I really hope nobody posts any spoilers on who the next book is about. My jaw about hit the floor!!! February 2018 cannot come soon enough.
Hayley Faiman, I seriously am a fan of yours for life!!

Betrothed to the Badman is AMAZIN! I don’t ever want to stop reading the books that Hayley Faiman takes out, each book is so different, each book has its own story, and each book is just really good.
Betrothed to the Badman is about Timofei and Devyn. From the moment that Devyn was 16 she was (by her father) engaged to Timofei, Timofei isn’t very happy about this arrangement he doesn’t want to marry someone who he just simply is a “child” and someone who he doesn’t like. But when Timofei sees Devyn a couple of months before their wedding, he realizes that she isn’t the child or little girl who he thought she was. Since the moment he lays eyes on her on their engagement party he can’t stop looking at her or thinking about her.
Timofei and Devyn have this sexy and steamy chemistry, they have to learn how to trust each other, be with each other, and love each other. I couldn’t put this book down; I just loved everything about it. The way Timofei protects Devyn makes me swoon like crazy, I wanted more, I needed more, and I hope for more.
If you want a sexy, interesting, and just amazing book…. Then this is the book for you. Another amazing book by the great Hayley Faiman.
(Review done before with my other blog page FairyReader but my account was hacked so I'm re-posting my review.)

I really enjoyed this one! So much better than the last two. I loved seeing Timofei as Oksana’s brother & all he was willing to do for her happiness, but seeing him as a husband was so much better! I loved him & Devyn right f/the start. At first I thought “oh no! He’s going to be another guy who can’t keep it in his pants”. But I was so so so wrong! Devyn was so easy to like. She was young & came across as the “good, do as you’re told & don’t ask questions” young woman, but she had a fire in her. By the end she was a lot stronger & I loved seeing her stand up to her father & pull the trigger! Her & Timofei were beyond hot together. For a moment I thought I was going to lose respect for him, but luckily he turned his actions around & did the right thing. I’ve been waiting for Timofei’s story for a couple books now & I think it was definitely worth the wait!
Raw, gritty and compelling those are just some of the words that I would describe Ms. Faiman’s writing. Devyn is promised to Timofei at the ripe old age of fifteen. Their arranged marriage doesn’t take place until she is eighteen years old. She is instructed by her father, the head of the Irish mob on Staten Island, to be meek and submissive in her marriage to Timofei as he would expect her to be. Timofei’s father is the head of the Russian Bravata in Brighton Beach. Both of their fathers are certifiably crazy and their time as the head of their families is drawing to a close. From the first time Timofei sets his eyes on her at their engagement party he is hooked, and once he sets his lips on her at the same party he is a goner. They go through with their arrange marriage because it will unite the Irish mob with the Russian Bravata in peace. But forces are at play here that don’t want them to be at peace. Will they be able to find the traitor amongst them without anyone losing their lives?
** I voluntarily read an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review **
Love this book and series! This book takes you on a whirlwind ride, secrets at every turn, deception, people are not who they appear to be and bombshell surprises. Hayley does this well, a plot driven storyline and characters that are strong and complex. I love the transformation of Timofei from feeling entitled into a confident, consequential man that is ready to lead out of necessity and birthright. Devyn flourishes, gains confidence, takes her control, gets revenge to take her place as Queen to her husband Timofei the Pakhan. Enemies dealt with, a strong bond of family, friends and a new direction for the Bratva. I love how this series interconnects and you can reconnect with characters from previous books. I look forward to Book 9 in this series.
I haven't read Hayley's mafia series and I am left wondering why? I absolutely loved this book. The characters and what they were going through kept me completely engrossed in this book. I really didn't want to put it down until I found out what was going to happen.
This book was dark, gritty and left my emotions completely raw. Everything they go through leaning about each other and what they have been through, especially Devyn, made me want to find out if she will ever find happiness, if Timofei could be that happiness. They have a rough go of it and I really enjoyed their journey.
I really want to go back now and read the other stories. You don't have to in order to enjoy this book so if you haven't read them then you will be just fine.
A dark and sinfully decadent treat from the incredible Hayley Faiman…
Those of us entranced by Ms. Faiman’s dark and sexy stories will not be disappointed with Betrothed to the Badman. With a deeply ingrained mob storyline bridging from the Irish mob to the Russian bratva, this story and it’s characters burrow deep in your soul, demanding nothing less than your full attention and all the heart and emotion you can give. Incredible characters, and a sexy and dangerous storyline that is flawlessly executed, Betrothed to the Badman will either give you the taste for darkness or embed you even deeper into your addiction of all things Hayley Faiman.
Another amazing book and piece in the Badman Series. The story continues with Betrothed to the Badman. As this is book 8, it starts right where book 7 left off.
An arranged marriage between Russian Bratva and Irish Mob with all the criminal elements you could hope for. And all of the hot sexy scenes you would expect from the author and the series. This one did NOT disappoint. If you e read the other books you HAVE to read this one.
I’m coming to end of the series and wishing I wasn’t! If you’re into mafia reads with an arranged marriage, love that develops between the main characters, the angst of something going wrong, and the rise of a new king and queen then read👏🏼this👏🏼book!
On the outside looking in, Devyn O'Neil is an 18 year old Irish mob princess but looks can be deceiving . Timofei is a 28 year Russian prince with an exterior as hard as granite and no worries in the world, again looks are deceiving. Devyn is contracted on her 18 th birthday to wed Timofei to join the Irish with the Russian mob, but that wasn't all that was intended. Between his father and her father their are other agendas. Both Devyn and Timofei learn to trust each other and together hurdle over the obstacles in their way. Hayley Faiman dies it again, I just finished thus book and can't wait till the next one.
This story was crazy!!! Fei and Devvy... Their sick arranged marriage by two demented parents was doomed from the start but somehow these two end up falling madly in love and over coming all kinds of unbelievable obstacles. Timofie is a different person in this installment he's no longer the spoiled Bratva prince and some of the things he's done will shock the crap out of you. This story has tons of plot twists and turns that will blow your mind. be prepared for disturbing underlying story lines. And this series may be over but there is still more to come from the Russian Bratva family and I'm here for all of it!
This is the 8th book in this awesome series. Devyn is the Princess of the Irish mob, and Timofel is the son of the Bratva King. Together their betrothal was meant to forge peace and unite the Irish and the Russians. Can their love survive the twists and conflict? No spoilers; this is a must read, you will not be disappointed! Once again Hayley has written an all consuming storyline, which had me hooked and intrigued from the beginning. I highly recommend this authors’ work for all readers, and look forward to reading more from her. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book!
