HANG ON TO YOUR HAT, YOU'RE GONNA NEED IT!!!
From the first page to the very last word your enthralled in a world you couldn't have imaged in your worst nightmares. This is no dream and waking won't help even in the light of day. Your catapulted where death walks closer than you thought. With twists and turns that carry you deeper into the belly of the beast. Surprises and unpredictable beings and monsters you hope you'll never have to see again. That wish won't happen. Your so engrossed in the tale that feels so real your frozen to your seat and your eyes would appear to anyone else you're just reading. But you know the only thing between you and them is the paper its written on. I really have to say you guys have left me in awe of your ability to bring things alive as well as offering a whole new meaning to the word monster. I really enjoyed this new world we find ourselves in. What a remarkable job you guys did to bring this together with all the characters and their personalities and watch as it mixes with the demons in our mist.

Daro is a 500 year old necromancer who was trying to atone for the evil he had done by trying to save humans from the evil bad guys of the supernatural world. While on a mission to undermine one of the worst in Paris, The Page, he comes saves Melissa who is looking for her missing brother Jared. One adventure after another ensues as they team up and try to outsmart the Page and find and save Jared. This book isn't a hot steamy erotica though Daro and Melissa finally stop fighting their feelings and connect romantically at the end of this book. I though i usually like this "hot and steamy" I liked this book and am looking forward to reading the next one since the author left poor Jared in a lurch that is just screaming for a rescue from more bad guys and happy ending of is own. I received this book free for an honest review.

Daro and Melissa's story was a good read. If you like magic, wolves, and vamps, this story has all and more. You read present events and see how Daro's life evolves over the many years he's been alive. He rescues Melissa and tries not to think about her, but always seems to pull out of the clutches of danger just in time. Mellissa is looking for her brother Jared, and stumbles into the paranormal world and thinks it's all a Hollywood joke. It's a race against time to find her brother and avoid capture by the vampire Page. However, this story doesn't end with this installment, and you need to read the next to find out more of the story. Even ending like it does, with a cliffhanger, it's still a good read.

First let me state, I received an Advance Reader Copy, (ARC), but this in no way influences my review. I always leave an honest review. Also, this is a new author to me, and it won't be my last.

Wow, this story is awesome. Melissa who's a human in Paris France, is searching for her missing brother, Jared. But before she even finds him, she finds herself mixed up with a lot of supernaturals. Wolves, a sorcerer, a vampire, a zombie, a ghost and many others. Daro is a 500 year old sorcerer trying to earn redemption for being dark for so many centuries. He meets Melissa and eventually ends up helping her to find her brother. So much is going on. This story part ends, but it leads to the next one. I can't wait to read the next book. I recommend this read. 5 Thumbs up.

Wow! That was a thrilling read from beginning to end! I love paranormal stories, and this one is incredible. The world building is some of the best and it helps keep you in the story. I love when I can picture everything perfectly in my mind, and that's what this one was like. I also loved the twists on the supes. It added a freshness to the characters that I appreciated. The story line has everything you could ask for from the action that is fast-paced, to the passion-filled romance. I was kept glued to the pages and didn't want to put it down. I am looking forward to reading more books by this author and I highly recommend this one.

Absolutely Fantastic!

I wasn't sure what to expect when I stated reading, but the description had me hooked, and boy was I pleasantly surprised! This action packed fantasy drew me in from the very first page and left me ready for more. The characters were well developed, and as the story progressed you got to know each of them better. Daro is the sorcerer seeking redemption. Melissa is the sister looking for her brother. When the two get thrown together, the adventure begins! This was such an amazing new world the author created full of dark creatures, evil beings, other dimensions, and surprise alliances. I can't wait to see where this series goes!

J H Somers is a new author to my reading lists and doesn't disappoint her readers with this paranormal romance. The storyline is well-written, dark, intriguing, suspenseful and has romance and chemistry. The characters are defined and diverse with necromancers, vampires, demons to name a few. There is good interaction between characters and keeps the story engrossing. I voluntarily read an ARC and this is my honest review.

Hold on tight

This was certainly a wild and twisted ride. There were many times I thought the bad guys would win, but somehow Melissa or Daro thought of something to save the day. The last scene with Jared, I hadn't seen it coming, but now that it did...just saying. I can't wait for the twisted ride to resume. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book, but I also purchased a copy.

This an interesting book to say the least. It’s like paranormal and sci-fi all rolled into one.

This book seems to have it all. Vampires, werewolves, magicians, zombies, and every other kind of supernatural being you can think of. It has bad guys, good guys (some that used to be bad and some that aren't sure), the plucky, brave human female who thinks she knows what is going on when she knows nothing, and even multiple universes. What it doesn't seem to have is a coherent storyline. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the book, but I feel it could have been better written.

You have Daro, a five hundred year old magician who is trying to make up for some bad decisions in his earlier life, and Grieg, a zombie made by Daro (a Necromancer). Grieg works with Daro and tries to keep him from getting himself killed. The two try to help and protect humans from the various supernatural in the world. Enter Melissa, a human female in Paris trying to find her brother. She manages to get herself so mixed up in the paranormal world that she is almost killed.

I will not try to tell you the story as it is not a simple one. There are flashbacks to the past and strange beings, devices, and machines. No one is really as they seem. Try to keep up.
