This is a very short book, which might be a bonus for the audience it is aimed at. The book purports to provide a method by which one can move from being an unmotivated and unproductive lost soul [read: loser; my words], to being productive, passionate, and motivated. If you doubt this, just take a look at what Anthony Butto has done with his life. He's stopped spending most of his time in front of a screen and now has career, works out, and eats healthy, and reads before bedtime. From his writing, it seems that he thinks there are legions of people out there like him who need someone to influence them and guide them away from passivity into activity. In fact, these people are usually called parents.

I have problems with any self-help (Mr. Butto says "coaching") book when the author is essentially writing a memoir of their accomplishments. He does not list credentials, nor does he seem to have learned how to research a topic. The pamphlet (96 pages) is rife with qutotations from people who mostly are dead, but accomplished a lot before they died. The problem I had that is when looking for validity I wouldn't choose a quote from a drug abusing, gun aficionado who committed suicide, or from someone who was a registered Communist.

There is little to suggest authenticity except that Mr. Butto says so, and sells his coaching to others who will pay him to do so. That is indirect, because he utilizes YouTube, and a website.

Another problem with presenting oneself as an expert is that one is somewhat obligated to utilize the terminology of the craft. You say you're an engineer, then you don't rename a cam and call it "a wogga." Yet Mr. Butto does exactly this. He claims to be a coach, which is essentially a behaviorist who motivates someone toward their goals, but doesn't use the terminology of the trade.

Perhaps Mr. Butto will motivate himself to obtain an education and even some credentials. If not, he would best present his material as a memoir.
