Grew up in England watching the great ashes battles of the 1970s and always wished that Dennis was on our side instead because he was that good! A cracking read!

A prototype for Big Merv,Boony and the rest of that bunch.
That aside, this bloke must have been a sight to behold at his pomp. Close your eyes and conjure up this vision. Long,flowing mane that performed calisthenics in the air. The open shirt revealing the you-know-what. That trademark mush that bristled if the batsman so much as even dared to put bat to ball. That wild glint in the eye and the maniacal smile.
And THAT run up! An epitome of precisely orchestrated perfection and balletic grace culminating in an explosive fury. Aah, what a sight?!
And what wouldn't I have given to see the Menace live?! My right arm most probably.
As any Larrikin worth his salt would have yelled, "LILLLEEEEEEE....LILLLLEEEEEE.....KILLLLL...KILLLL....KILLLLL!!!!!
