Love the Dad? Oh, I can't resist!

Sexy, enigmatic, and gorgeous - he's much older than me.
But the only one who can make me wet with just one look.
He's my student's dad,
And is definitely hiding something in his heart.
But I wanna see the package he's hiding in his pants.
That could lead to his heart, right?

I know I can't sleep with him.
But that muscular body and those ripped abs take my breath away.
Should I show him how I feel about him?
Or wait for him to make the first move?
What if he doesn't!
I wanna be the girl who breaks him from the spell he is under.
Even if that means my entire life crashing down in the waves of Blue Hill, Maine.

He Trusted her With His Heart

This is the latest story form one of my favourite authors - Mia Ford!  This tells the sweet, romantic and passionate story of Lacey who has graduated to teach and is going to move from New York back home to Maine where she has inherited her grandparents' farm.  She knows that she's not a city girl but will be much happier in small town life so she is really looking forward to the start of the rest of her life there.  She sees an advertisement wanting a tutor for a five year old little girl to help prepare her for starting school. The advert was placed by the little girl's, Bella, single dad, Caspian who was widowed some time again.  he owns a surf hut on the beach front but is concerned that Bella won't be ready for starting school as it's just been him and his mum bringing her up. He's afraid to let anyone else into his heart as he really hasn't completely got over the heartbreak of his wife dying and doesn't feel he could face that pain again, but when he ,meets Lacey he knows that he wants more than just being the dad of her pupil.  With sizzling heat between these two people getting to know one another better the passion is going to have to be acted upon.  Mia has woven this delicious love story between older man, Caspian, and younger, feisty woman, Lacey.   I loved the way they interacted and the banter was fun!! There is enough heat between these two and with his smouldering glances to make your panties melt - so be warned! I loved this story and the bonus stories are great too!   Heated Moments which hasn't been published before is terrific and worthy of being a book all by itself.  I purchased a copy for myself as I know I will be re-reading this book in the future and it is a book that I can 'lose myself' in the storyline as it's so well written by Mia.  And, YES, I'm looking forward to her next book!

Lacey moves back to Maine to live in the house her grandparents left her. Wanting to get away from the city she decided to look for teaching positions there. She lucks into a tutoring job with an amazing little girl. Caspian can't believe how quick Bella is learning with Lacey's tutoring and hopes it continues even though he is fighting his attraction for Lacey. Lacey loves teaching Bella and knows that teaching is the right fit for her. Things start to go from professional to personal when Lacey is invited to family meals and movie nights and soon its too tempting to give in to what she feels for Caspian. Caspian is wary about loving someone again after his wife died but he knows things are serious between him and Lacey. Can he admit his feeling before he loses Lacey?

This was a great story and was well written. The chemistry between Caspian and Lacey is steamy hot. This was an emotional story due to the fact the even though Caspian has mourned his wife he still can't let go of his fears of losing another loved one. This was a five star read in my opinion.

Lacey is starting to live the life she’s always wanted: she’s living in her grandparents house by the beach and she’s finished all of her course work and certification to be a teacher. All she needs is a job for the summer until she can get a full time teaching position. What luck then, when she finds an add for a tutor! When she goes to interview for it, heaven help her when she lays eyes on Caspian and his amazing daughter Bella.
Caspian is a single dad who’s been taking care of his little girl for two years now. She’s about to start kindergarten and he’s worried that she might be needing help to be fully prepared. When the very promising tutoring candidate shows up for her interview, he’s blown away by more than her excellent qualifications. She’s beautiful as well as smart, and she has a spontaneous rapport with his child. He starts to feel things he thought he’d never feel since his wife died—and it scares him.
This was a fast fall single dad romance with plenty of sizzle and pretty realistic portrayal of the fear a man can experience when he unexpectedly gets another chance at love.

I always enjoy Mia Ford's novels and this new one is no exception. It was as hot and steamy as you expect from Mia and once again changed up the plot lines so its not a repeat of hundreds of novels. It was refreshing from the normal, boy meet girl, they either (a) hate each other on site or (b) there are one or more people trying to get in between them causing stress and jealousy. It was interesting that the angst came from other areas.

I also love novels that feature children. Especially adorable children who have strong opinions.

The only thing I would change is in the description of the book talks about the male character being much older than the female character. Other than in the blurb about the book this is never discussed or alluded to. You also get the feeling that if he is older it is less than 10 years more along the line of 6 or so. This is a bit misleading if someone is looking for a May-December romance. This DOES NOT detract from the story in my opinion at all but just an observation.

I received this book we meet Lacey Pierce and Caspian Hart. Lacy is looking for a fresh start so she goes to the one place she knows. The house that her grandparents left her when they passed away. She has found a job and possibly a man that she could see herself with. Caspian is still under a word of pain since loosing his wife. His life has never been easy but the one thing he would never change is his little girl Bella. However there is just something about about her tutor that makes him stand up and take notice. Can entry both find something in that someone that they never knew they were looking for or will they be lost forever?

This is an amazing book. It will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. It has ups and downs that I really want to tell you about. I however don’t want to ruin it for any other readers. I will say this book will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

Caspian is a widower with a smart and loving daughter named Bella. In preparation of Bella starting school Caspian decides to hire a tutor. He was not expecting Lacey. Lacey is a recent University graduate with all her teaching certificates looking for a job for the summer in the small beach town she spent all of her summers growing up with her loving and supportive grandparents. They left her their home three years ago when they passed away and Lacey is convinced this is where she needs to start her life not NY. When she first meets Caspian and Bella she's impressed and drawn to the handsome father and his brilliant young daughter and the more she gets to know them the harder she falls but is Caspian ready to start living again after the pain of losing his wife. Can he ever move forward when he stills feels her loss to his very core and blames himself for not being able to save her? "Beach Daddy" is a standalone with no cheating and a HEA.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader copy of this book. I loved this book, Caspian and Lacey are amazing. There is a lot of push and pull between these two, Caspian is raising his daughter Bella after his wife died and is so afraid to start feeling for someone else with the fear of losing them. There are no guarantees in life, you have to take it one day at a time and grab love where you find it. Their story is emotional, heartwarming and a wonderful love story in the making. These two meet when Lacey takes on Bella for tutoring and falls in love with her, and her dad’s not so bad on the eyes either. The attraction and chemistry are there, but can Caspian move past his fears and grab onto Lacey and never let go? You will need to read for yourself, great story you will not be able to put down.

This is story that will have you feeling like you are on a roller coaster with many emotions with Caspian, Belle and Lacey. Lacey moves back to her grandparents home in Maine after completing her studies and finds a job tutoring Belle who is one special 5 year old girl. Once Caspian and Lacey meet they don’t know how to act with one another as their attraction is right in front of them but the one thing he does is protect his daughter from any further harm. Once they take that step things are just amazing between them and it’s all inside a bedroom. They are different people behind closed doors and their passion for one another is just special. Can these two exist outside the bedroom and deal with everyday life or will they both be to afraid to move forward? I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

Lacey has just graduated from NYU and has her teaching degree. She decides to head to her grandparents hometown for a fresh start. Looking through the want ads she discovers a job for a tutor. Caspian, is a single father who only wants what is best for his daughter Bella, so he hires Lacey as her tutor to help prepare her for kindergarten. Neither of them never thought that they would develop such feelings for one another.
I enjoyed both Lacey, and Caspian and their instant connection to one another. I even enjoyed Grandma Betty and Bella. They were so much fun and caring. Caspian did have a lot of back and forth with his feelings and guilt with being with Lacey. He still isn't over his wife's death. The back and forth made the story very exciting and suspenseful. All in all a great love story!

Lacey, having graduated in NY, to be a teacher, ends up moving back to Blue Hill in Maine, when she inherited her Grandparents farm.
Responding to an ad for a tutor, her first ever teaching job is for Caspian and his five yo daughter, Bella, to prepare her for school.

Caspian, having been widowed some time ago, closed himself off and is happy running his Beach Hut and it just being him, Bella and his Mum, not wanting to open himself up to the chance of that emotional pain again.

But when Lacey comes along, he starts to have feelings for her he never expected to feel again and pushes Lacey away.

Lacey knows Caspian is capable of more and understands what he’s been through, but will she wait long enough after being pushed away for Caspian to sort out his feelings before it’s to late?

ExoticNamus Syndrome was the first sign

Okay, so "Lacey" isn't too bad and "Bella" is just boring at this point but "Caspian"? So, I overlooked that but could not overlook the almost constant lack of contractions, especially in dialogue. Not a direct quote but pretty close..."I like her Daddy. I think that she is nice. I would like for her to be my teacher. Grandma is coming to eat dinner tonight. I will eat all my carrots if Miss Lacey can eat dinner with us"... all of the writing is like this. On 2 pages, I counted only 3 contractions, all "it's". Did a computer write this thing? Unreadable. I can overlook all kinds of shoddy editing, no problem, but such a severe lack in contractions is like reading without any periods. Disturbing and unable to enjoy or even get through.

As a tutor for the daughter of the widowed single father Caspian, Lacey gets attracted to him. Caspian has lost his wife and has build a wall around himself. Is it possible to get out of the darkness and have some sunshine in your heart again? Can someone break down the walls?
These characters are so well described and they have a chemistry that is over the top. The story is filled with passion, emotional ups and downs, steamy scenes and some unexpected twists.
A story about opening up and let others in again. About trust and honesty. Two characters that can make each other live again and get their HEA.
Absolutely one I would like to recommend.

This was a phenomenal book from Mia Ford!  The emotional connections in this book were just pouring from the story that couldn't help but feel them. New love, old tragedies, fear and passion really brought this book to life. And little Bella threatened to steal the whole show!  Great read!  I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

What a great book, I loved the storyline and how well it was written. Omg loved Lacey she just moved back home from New York city to come home to the house that her grandma left her when she pasted away. Lacey sees an advert for teaching a 5yr old to help her get ready for pre-school. Along comes Caspian and Bella, what a great kid, she loves learning and is a great kid, shame kids aren't really like that for real. Caspian has been a widower for a few years now but is having trouble letting go and moving on. However that all changes when Lacey comes to teach Bella. Very well written and loved how the story flowed, and was easy to follow, but also made it hard to put down. Highly recommend.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. I really enjoyed this book. Caspian and Lacey were a great pair. I enjoyed the way Caspian is seen as a man who is not always sure of whether he has a chance at love again since loosing his wife.Men are not always portrayed as having that doubt. It was very refreshing to see. Lacey was the perfect match for him. The chemistry between them was great and Caspian's daughter Bella made some of the scenes so sweet. This was a well written book and I was pulled in from the start. Great read!

Ok, this story has touched my heart in so many different ways. Caspian has had it rough with watching his wife be taken from him and ending up a single dad to one of the most extraordinary little girls. Bella is so eccentric and intelligent that she becomes a favorite character quickly. When these guys finally decide to be together, I honestly shed some tears and felt a piece settle for them. I cannot wait to see what Mia has in store next, but I believe this is now my favorite of her books. I’m voluntarily reviewing an advanced reader copy of this book.

I really enjoyed this book! Definitely a book for adults because the sex was Hot!
The only issue I struggled with was how they painted the child in the story as "perfect". Everything she did, said, and learned was all above and beyond any child her age. This painted picture was hard to relate to. Being a mom myself, as much as I love my daughter I know she was, and isn't perfect. She's my daughter and I love her but she's not "perfect" and neither am I.
Other than that issue, the book was awesome!

I adored this book! All the pain and heartbreak that Caspian had to go through and raising adorable Bella all on his own made my eyes water. Lacey is like a ray of sunshine even if there is bumps in the road for the two of them. This book is beautifully written, with no third party drama. It is about love and healing and facing your fears. I highly recommend this book if you want a happy fluffy feeling for the rest of your day!

It told us how life can be hard after losing someone you love with all your heart and never knowing that if by chance one day you might find it again.
