The only thing hotter than the weather South of the Mason Dixon line are the boys. Worn, faded blue jeans, slow Southern drawls, and those naughty moments in the back of pickup trucks a girl never forgets. Welcome to the world of the Sutton boys. Five brothers who fight, party, drink a little too much, but more importantly, they love their momma. Nothing can tear them apart… except women. Especially a red headed beauty with secrets. No one truly knows her… not a Sutton boy… and not Dixie Monroe. Scarlet North smiles on the outside but inside her damage runs deep.

This book was just brilliant. I read it in a day I couldn't put it down. The story had me hooked. I m a huge fan of this author i luv her work. I really enjoyed the first book so I was looking forward to more of the Sutton boys.
Bray is the more complicated character out of the Sutton boys. He dark stubborn and moody but very sexy. Things haven't really been going well for Bray recently. The girls that has been in his mind has been gone for 8 months and he doesn't know where she is. Things werent left in a good way between Scarlett and his twin brother Trent. The 3 of them found themselves in a bit of a situation that didn't go well for the 3 of them and Scarlett could deal with the fall out. The only thing was that Scarlett has left her mark on Bray. She the only girl that has but she left and the feels he has towards her are very mixed. But he knows he needs her, he just hopes that she will turn up for Dixie her best friend. But he wasn't goin to hold he breathe.
Scarlett has been through so much in her short life. There are so many feels her character goes through throughout this book. I knew something had happened to her but she has learned to bury those feeling. The only thing or person she couldn't get out of her head was Bray. He was her safety she needed him. The only thing was he could never love her and she needed that from him. There was just Bray that made her run away he just made things easier to run. But she has to put on her big girl pant and be there for her best friend. Even though she didnt think she could do it she knew that in the back of her mind she had to.
This story was so so good. The twist in the book were brilliant. Like I said I couldn't put this book down. Bray and Scarlett won me over from the start. There story is so up and down but it was good to see Bray drop his guard. He is super stubborn but so was Scarlett. They had both been through some hard time though Bray didn't know how hard Scarlett had had it. I would highly recommend this book I m dying for more of this series. I luvd everything about this book it was brilliant.
I almost gave up everything when I reached 82%. But I persevered and finished reading. They both cheated on his twin brother who was the heroine's boyfriend. This inconsequential behavior had serious consequences on their family and friends. The two have serious mental disorders and destructive behavior. But the two complete each other in their madness and find balance. I think this author is no longer for me.
Ok, I enjoyed the book maybe a little more than the first because I knew the character. And I wanted to know how it was going to work out.
I love Abbi’s style of writing, and I loved that she had all the brothers involved. And again I love their momma.
I guess what I don’t get was why there was a Diesel at all. We didn’t really need him. Scarlett and everything that was going on with her was enough of a storyline without adding in this Diesel fella.
I think this story was genuine and different but I think the ending was rushed and I wished it hadn’t been.
I liked the narrations, took a little bit for me to like Patrick as Bray but once I got into his way of narrating it was all good.
*You don't have to like my review but its 100% my opinion, and I am allowed to have it.*
Once again Abbi doesn't disappoint. I have loved everything she has written and probably always will. Brothers South of the Mason Dixon is no different. I love how strong Scarlet was. No matter what tried to break her she fought it back and rose above it and in the end she found a way to release her demons and move forward. Bray was the type of bad boy that everyone wanted to tame but at the end of the day he couldn't be tamed, he needed someone who could be wild with him and that was Scarlet. They had an understanding, they recognized the darkness within each other and for them that created a safe place. I loved watching their romance unfold. I also loved seeing where Dixie and Asher were now. I can't wait for the next one!!!
I’m a big fan of Abbi Glines and this book didn’t disappoint!! Brothers South of the Mason Dixon is the second book in the series and follows on from the first book but is also its own separate book following Bray and Scarlet. Bray Sutton is the broody brother that you can’t help but love so it was interesting to be able to get into his head and read his story. A massive five stars from me!
With how many books Abbi Glines has written I wonder why there are still so many spelling mistakes and grammatical errors in her books. I read this book because I needed something light, fluffy and without much depth, and got what I expected.
This was a reasonably fast read once the story got going. A huge chunk of it is spent rehashing the past between these two, from their own POV's before they actually connect properly and try to move forward. Even in saying that, there was no real clear discussion between them. Things kind of just happened.
I like these brothers and they're fun to read about. Some serious issues are dealt with in this one in terms of our heroine, but I just think that things could have been communicated or dealt with in a different way. Also, the editing in this book was a bit off. I realise mistakes can be made, but there seemed to be a few more than normal for published books.
In saying all that, I still found myself speeding through and wanting to find out what would happen. I didn't hate the book, it just wasn't one of my faves.
Barely a four star.....no one writes a better girl with awful stuff going on in her life than Abbi Glines...but this one seems like it's been done. I just didn't care for the delivery of back in time to present. Development got lost in this process. I just didn't seem to know Bray or not did I get what happened to drive Scarlett away? Was there one blow out or confrontation??? did I miss something? It didn't seem I understood what exactly the time frame of Brent, Bray, and Scarlett.
Bray just comes off badly....like a troubled jerk. What does he medicate for? what does Scarlett medicate for?
I might reread if a bunch of you tell me I missed a bunch of stuff.
Summary of the Book The book is about Scarlet North and Bray Sutton. She cheated on his twin brother with him and ran away after that and decided to start a new life, but her past comes back to hunt her. My Opinion I didn’t like this book, it was just too infuriating. Ok so this is the second book in the Boys South of Mason Dixon series. The first one was about the oldest brother Asher, the second boy Steel and the girl Dixie- yes it was also a love triangle thing. So, there are five Sutton boys- Asher, Steel, Brett, Bray and Dallas and for some reason they are so hot that no girl can decide which one she wants, but you know what that wasn’t what made me bored of this book. You see the problem I had with this book was the characters. I’ve read all of Abbi’s books and honestly all the characters are pretty much. Girl who has a past, meets a boy or the boy is somehow connected with her past, they fall in love, something happens, they separate and the boy tries to get the girl and the girl keeps refusing and everyone around the boy for some unknown reason keeps telling the boy not to break the girl’s heart, when it’s so clear that the boy is trying his best to get the girl, but girl so dumb she doesn’t know what she wants and all the blame is always on the boys and the girl never gets any blame even when most of the issues they are facing is partly her fault, and then everyone with their magical eyesight is always like “that girl has been through so much, she is so brave, you should treat her better or else” and don’t get me started on how all the guys are always possessive for some reason, if they see anyone glance at their girl, they are ready to start a fight and I’m just like “is this really how people behave or am I dreaming”. So Scarlet dated Brett to get to Bray, then cheated on Brett with Bray and when everyone finds out she leaves and starts a new life, when her best friend in the world and someone who’s always been there for her is getting married, she doesn’t want to go and it took the persuasion of the youngest Sutton boy to convince her to come, when she gets there she see Bray and he wants to start over again and wants to be with her, but this crazy girl keeps saying no, he tries with this girl and she refuses like constantly and everyone is just like “Scarlet taught me the real meaning of bravery” . sorry but all I saw her do was run and hide. When she made a mistake with the twins, I get giving some time to sort things out between themselves and then facing the consequences, but she ran and never came back almost didn’t come back for her friend’s wedding, because she was scared of facing them. Honestly, I would have been happier if Bray ended up with someone else since she was being so difficult, that would have been a twist I would have loved. I’m sure in the next book they whoever it’s about will be like they went through so much and came out even stronger. No that isn’t what happened.
So the cheating ex girlfriend gets a happy ending? I really tried to finish the book but in the long run I ended up skipping to the end. I felt like the book forever to get to the point. I really hoping for this book was better than Lila’s story but it wasn’t.
Brothers South of the Mason Dixon I’ve read all her words and I will always for as long as she tells stories of all these southern sexy men. God Bless Abbi for taking risks with every story she tells. Finding a new way to grow in love and life’s adventures when having to come from pain and hurt is very brave and so appreciated. This is an unexpected story of a girl who survives unthinkable things and is able to show love when you would think she would have none to give. The redemption is always the sweetest part when a boy realizes what he has and doesn’t let it get away. I love how strong Scarlet was. No matter what tried to break her she fought it back and rose above it and in the end, she found a way to release her demons and move forward. Bray was the type of bad boy that everyone wanted to tame but at the end of the day he couldn't be tamed, he needed someone who could be wild with him Take the risk. Read the words. Love the Boys South of the Mason Dixon!
She gets me every time, but every time I think I'm ready for it, but I never am. Lawd, the feels. So. Many. Feels. You have to consume Abbi's book in one sitting because the emotional bridges don't allow for a break. And that's cool, time management has always been my strength!!
This was classic Abbi Glines: ridiculously over dramatic and wildly entertaining. The good kind of trash for me!
This is the classic case of 4 stars with a disclaimer: it was riddled with errors (which is probably my bad since she did re-edit and re-release it), had a random family tragedy that was handled too quickly and added nothing to the story, and had ONLY 1.5 sex scenes. Not enough.
I really love this series and wow this one I really felt it hard....the story was heartfelt and real....the only thing that upset me was the punctuation, grammar and misspelling...don't know who did the editing but really???? Sorry this is one of my pet peeves.... I loved Scarlet and Bray's story....the way it all evolved into a true HEA!
So I definitely have more issues with this book than the previous one in the series, but I’m still kind of hooked. And now I have to wait until next January for the 3rd one??
August 2018 for the 4th Field Party book and January 2019 for the next Mason Dixon?!? Excuse me, but I have very little self-control and patience! 🙈
I do love Abbi so was a little shocked to see so many typos in this book .. i couple here and there i don't bother but this had a lot .. it was enough for me to notice it.. Over all i did enjoy the book
First off I was ready for Scarlett and Bray’s book since the end of Boys South of the Mason Dixon finished, and as soon that I knew that they were going to be the featured in the next book, I was beyond excited. I couldn’t wait for it. Unfortunately it took awhile before I could get my hot little hands on it. Yes, I could have gotten the e-book copy, but I prefer the print books so I had a wait for a little bit for this one, and let me tell you it was totally worth the wait.
I knew this was going to be a good one, but I didn’t know how good it was going to be or how much I would enjoy especially technically they had a bit of controversy as they conducted a physical relationship mainly Scarlet was technically with Bray’s brother and she cheated on Brent with Bray. Cheating is a hot button issue with me especially in romance so even though I was dying for this book, I was iffy about of it as well with what happened in the previous book and the cheating. I don’t condone what both of them did to Brent, but it didn’t bother me in this book as much as I thought it would. A big reason for that was that they both acknowledged what they did to Brent was wrong and the amount of guilt that they had over that betrayal, and I could feel that in this book. It wasn’t watered down or pushed away or excused for what happened, and I thought that was really because it made it even easier to be behind Scarlet and Bray’s relationship/romance.
There was a lot going on in this book from emotional standpoints, and some it was really mainly the stuff that happened to Scarlet that was beyond horrendous. Just seeing what she had to go through and survive through was pretty amazing. I didn’t know that she went through all that in the previous book, but as I got more into this book it wasn’t hard to guess what had happened to her. It was awful, but even more awful to hear her words tell it through the point of view of a child via her diary. It was heartbreaking and devastating having to read all that and especially to see Bray’s reaction when he found out, which was really the turning point in their relationship. And it wasn’t just that either, it was what Bray and Scarlet were both going through while dealing with their own demons as well as their very passionate and violent reaction to one another. It was a journey. Rocky, but a good one to say the least as they worked through their issues.
I loved seeing Bray’s transformation from the beginning book to the end. He did a hundred and eighty degree flip. I didn’t know he even had that amount of tenderness and sweetness to him until the very end. I didn’t even know he had it in him to be honest because he was so different and dark for book one and this one. In the beginning he was a glorified player, seeing his own pleasure at the expense of everyone else around him aka woman he had been with especially Scarlet. He was obsessed with her and his focus was just on his needs and wants and not hers. Yes, he gave her physical pleasure, but he didn’t fulfill her other needs. All he was focused on was getting her horizontal and nothing else not really getting to know her at all while Scarlet was totally head over heels for him and killing her every time they were together because he wasn’t offering her more nor stating he had any feelings for her aside from the physical and that really hurt her. He was very selfish with her. It wasn’t until he learned all she had been through that a switch had finally been flipped and finally he could connect his feelings of love to her, which he had been pushing down for so long because he feared of getting hurt. That was where he truly became a different person and the lovable of side of Bray really shone, and it was so beautiful to witness. I loved seeing his love for her match with actions by not having the focus been on the physical side of their relationship but about their connection. I think it surprised me how wet he could b just like it surprised Scarlet. And another thing with his transformation was the fact that he finally realized that the way he treated Scarlet wasn’t respectful or loving at all in the past and that he was rougher with her sexually than he realized and that it could back pedal to the abuse she faced as a child. It was a realization for hm of how much she loved him because of all the things she allowed him to do to her.
My complaint though was his transformation started so late in the book that there wasn’t a lot of his loving side towards Scarlet on display. I wish it happened a bit sooner, instead of the back and forth of whether or Scarlet could come back and face Bray and Brent again and just all the angst there while Bray cursing her and just making it all about him. She left him. She must not want him otherwise she wouldn’t have left. Stuff like that without having the entire picture of what was going on her because I don’t really think he cared except for the fact that she stayed away and couldn’t fulfill his physical needs anymore. He was more angry about that than missing her or that was how it was portrayed in the book. I just wanted to see more of loving side with Scarlet because it was beautiful and adorable. I loved all the tender kisses and touches and just the way he was with her. So gentle and loving. The scene were he just held her was just something that touched my heart. I needed more of that.
And I was also disappointed with the fact that the first time that they made love that it was shown like at all. Yes, they had sex lots of times and that was shown in very graphic detail but the lovemaking scene had the foreplay leading up to it but then it was a fade to black moment. This was the moment that I was waiting for. That would have made everything that they went through worth while. I wanted to see them coming together and form that connection. I also would have loved if the scene was in both perspectives because I would have loved to know what was going on in both their heads at the time. I needed the balance of the sweet, tender and emotional to the raw, passionate and more about the physical love scenes that felt more like melding of just bodies and not hearts.
Another thing I wished was in the book was having a scene where Bray and Scarlet sat down and had a heart to heart about her past and what she went through. I get that the diary was supposed to bring everything to the forefront and Scarlet who kept these secrets for so long realized knew that he knew once she discovered the diary in his possession, but I just wish either she told him, even know he knew already, or they just had a conversation about it. Something because even though Bray read her words and felt her pain as a little girl and understood it, he really didn’t fully understand it because he didn’t know the extent of the damage done to her like the nightmares and triggers that would come back to her. I just wanted him to have a full understanding of it all.
If those three things were included, I would have given this a five stars because it was was so good. This was the Abbi Glines I know and love, and so much better than the recently read Sweet series that I indulged in. This just ticked all the boxes for me with the emotions, the passion, the love, and the journey that Bray and Scarlet went on to get to their happily every. I teared up at some points. My heart broke at other times. My insides warmed once Bray’s transformation occurred. I was happy. I was sad. I felt so much while reading this book. The angst was pretty spot on too. This one was the better one out of the two book in this series thus far. I just enjoyed Bray and Scarlet’s love story journey so much. It was worth the wait, and I glad that I read it. I will be re-reading this book time and time again because it was that good.
It just what I expect when I pick a good old fashion Abbi Glines book. I can’t wait to read more about the last three Sutton brothers and wonder who will be next.

I’ll absolutely loved the story. Like I loved it. I could not put it down. I devoured this book in like two hour slot because I just loved everything I was getting with Bray and with Scarlet. I mean don’t get me wrong those who drove me crazy, while simultaneously breaking my heart, but I loved it. I loved that this book let me really get them. I loved that there was so much more to the two of them then met the eye. I loved that they always kept me on my toes and kept my heart right on that line. I loved every single thing I got with him because it was real, authentic, complicated and deeply emotional, and most of all it was them.
Scarlet and Bray do not have the easiest of stories. If you’ve read the first book in the series, then you understand that they have a very complicated history. They were together but Scarlet also was into a very complicated entanglement with his brother. It was all a game, but it really wasn’t. There was much more going on and the events of this book allow you to piece that together. The story takes place months after these characters have been separated and they come face-to-face for the first time in such a long time. Having that happen makes them realize just how much they miss each other, just how much they might have messed things up, and just how much they might not know which way is up.
What they share is deep and real and complicated and this book explorers what happens when they put it all on the line when it really matters.
I think one of my favorite parts of this book is how hard it was for these characters. That’s not to say I wanted them to suffer because they have both been through so much, but I loved getting to see them push through everything and fight like hell for the chance to be together. I loved getting to see them go there. I loved getting their vulnerability and emotion. I loved that they weren’t afraid to put their hearts on the line when it really mattered. I loved that they saw through all the bullshit and all of the heavy armor on the outside and we’re willing to do whatever was necessary to get to the others heart. I loved that that just resonated with them and that they knew the importance of that.
I loved everything with them because it just felt so real and deep and true. The way that this author brings that to life in this book really exemplifies these characters. These characters do not always make the best or the right choices, but the more you get with them in this book, the more you understand why they made those choices. The more you get them. The more you understand the why behind at all and while it doesn’t fix everything and it doesn’t make everything OK, it does give you a very deep understanding of who they are, of what they share, and of how meant to be they really are. I loved getting to be a part of that and it was just fantastic to read that and experience that with them. It just pulled me to them something fierce as I was reading this story.
I really can’t say enough how much I enjoyed this book. It had that southern charm, it had two characters desperately fighting for a second chance, and it had so much hard to it. There was also some serious spice and fire that let the pages of the book on fire. But most of all it was Bray and it was Scarlet opening themselves up to the chance at being together. It was then putting it on the line when it really mattered, and it was the two of them showing each other and everyone around them that they were meant to be and that not even the biggest heartbreak and the biggest amount of trauma to pull them apart.
I cannot wait for Abbi Glines to continue this world with his brothers. I sincerely hope that she does continue these books because I think they’re fantastic. I really do. They’ve got drama and angst and so many crazy twist and turns that work for this world, but it’s also at it’s core got a host of characters that are easy to love and root for. These brothers are dynamic and complicated and memorable and I would love everyone of their stories. And getting to be there as these women bring them to their knees is nothing short of wonderful. This book just really has the full picture and package of what I’ve come to love and expect from this author and I can’t wait for more!
This truly had so much to love and even when these characters drove me a little crazy and pushed me to that breaking point, I loved it because I was with them. I felt it, I got it, I felt like hell with them and did what I could to see them through as they fought for their chance out what could be. Getting to experience everything I did with them was phenomenal and it just made for an incredible reading experience.
If you love a teen drama with some craziness, tons of spice and heat, and some serious soon and heart thrown in, then run yourself to these books. They won’t disappoint you. They are crazy, filled with drama, filled with some heartache too, but they will see you through. And in the end you’ll love it. You will love it so much!
Okay so I really did like this, don't let the 3 star rating fool you, but I felt like there was a lot missing. I felt like the story was rushed and it was under developed. The whole story revolved around Bray and Scarlet and if you didn't read the first book (Boys South of The Mason Dixon) I feel like you would of been really confused by what was going on and who everyone was. Abbi just jumped right into the story by picking up only a few months after the end of the first book which finished with the proposal and then we were thrown right into the wedding. Abbi barely developed any of the other characters, which was a little disappointing because I would of loved to see more interaction with Diesel and for Scarlet to have maybe become his friend a little more or just been nice. The problem I had with Scarlet was that she moved away to be "safe" yet she was just going through the motions of everyday life. She wasn't truly present, she wasn't making relationships, and she was destroying the few relationship she did have (she almost missed her best friends wedding...really?). She worked 15 hours a day, went home to trailer, went to bed, and repeat...now is that really what you would do with your new found freedom? Come on that is not living! She could a smiled a little more and been a little nicer to the people she worked with, because clearly they cared about her, even if they were a little out there. I get that her childhood was horrible. It was the center of the whole dam book. It was always hinted that she was running away from thing and it was more than dating one brother and cheating on him with his twin. I was a predictable story line, yet Abbi dragged out the secret for the ENTIRE book. I mean really get there quicker Abbi you started losing me, it wasn't all that dramatic. It was also told through a child's diary, which was 100% heartbreaking, but again not that dramatic. I might be a sick person or a heartless bitch, but flashbacks would of really drove the point home and pulled on heart strings. With all that being said, don't think I didn't like her, I really liked Scarlet (more than I originally thought I would). I admired her bravery and strength. Abbi always does a wonderful job at creating strong and independent female characters and Scarlet was definitely one. I just feel like Abbi relied on Scarlet's terrible childhood as an excuse and a crutch.
Okay now moving on to Bray. I loved Bray from the first book. He was the typical sexy, bad boy that all girls fall for because they think they're going to be the one to change him. I fell for Bray more than I did Asher or any of the other brothers in the first book so I was super excited his story was the next in the series. I felt he had a lot to offer in terms of a main character. I liked seeing him at work with the horses and him saying he didn't get along with humans, but he understood horses. It really spoke to what kind of person he was and I loved seeing that side of him, but like most things in the story Abbi didn't go anywhere with that. Bray also clearly has some sort of mental illness because in the first book it said that he takes meds to help him control himself and it was mentioned for a brief second when he is moving out in this book that he didn't need his mama to remind him to take his pills. All that's cool mental illness in huge and very common, so I'm just disappointing that Abbi had the perfect opportunity to maybe explore the theme of mental illness and how people have it and live with, but didn't go anywhere with it. Also Scarlet, she had plenty of issues and definitely had PTSD (or what her friend referred to as 'zoning out spills') and that all seems normal after what she went through as child, so why wasn't that brought up or talked about? I mean Bray and Scarlet never even really talked about what he learned about her because all of a sudden Abbi decided, hey lets make the lovable baby brother almost die in a riding accident. Let's just rip out our hearts and tear it up into a million little pieces. Ehh I just felt like that plot twist was soo unnecessary and out of the blue and really Dallas, how could you have done that to him. I totally fell in love with Dallas from the few brief times we saw him in this book and I hope the next book in the series is his because I NEED it!! I look forward to January 2019!
Alright I'll end this now. I recommend this to anyone looking for a quick, romantic read. It is an enjoyable book despite all my reservations with it and has a happy ending. I might just reading too much into this story.
I hated this book. Almost as much as I hated Bray and felt sorry for Scarlet.
I loved this book. Almost as much as I loved Bray and Scarlet.
I don't think I can give justice to what I felt about this book in words. The characters blew my mind – their complexity and darkness. Their pain. I've never felt this much hatred towards someone on the behalf of a character as I felt on Scarlet's behalf. I could literally feel the bile rise up when I'd read her diary entries and I'd never cried that hard from anger for a character in a book.
I think this is enough to make my point. How does someone survive this shit? I can't even process it, let alone imagine it happened. How many people in real life go through stuff like this? I have to wonder, because it obviously does happen in real life. God, this is enough to lose faith in humanity.
I had two huge problems with the book though. The misspelled words, typos and grammar errors, which were wierd in an Abbi Glines book. The other was that I didn't get closure. There were too many unanswered questions. What happened to the relationship between Bray and the rest of his brothers (especially Brent)? What happened to Dixie and Scarlet's friendship? I don't feel like Scarlet properly dealt with the shit that happened in her past either. I mean she literally committed a crime (sort of) and going without therapy after that seems ridiculously insane and stupid. Do the others find out? If they don't do they figure out a way to accept her after the whole Brent fiasco? He was going to marry her at the end of the book, don't all these things matter? I hope all these questions get answers in the next book, it'll drive me crazy otherwise.

Abbi delivers yet another great love story with relatable characters that have had to overcome obstacles at an early age.
I loved that this book gave us a lot more background into Scarlet's life. She is a perfect example of not judging a book by its cover. Scarlet was a free spirit who was able to hide her fucked up child hood with a smile and her charismatic attitude, but she was only trying to find ways to survive. She didn't only run away from the Sutton boys she ran away from her past; from her cruel mother.
Bray and Scarlet understood each other. They weren't like other people; they had darker souls that wanted to be loved. I do wish I would've gotten a bit more background as to why Bray was the way he was. I get he was the different Sutton boy; the angry one; the dark one, but why - what made him that way?
It's really sad that some people have to grow up like Scarlet did and the one person who should have been her main protector was the one exposing her to monsters and nightmares, but although we didn't get a lot about her "father", I believe he cared in his own way. He managed, with whatever threats, to make sure no other man sexually abused Scarlet and even at the end, he didn't press charges against Scarlet after she set fire to the house. He looked out for her in his own way.
Bray and Scarlet's are each others saviors and they are perfect for each other. Those are the only two who know how to love the other.
This story is more than a romance story, it deals with issues of abuse, sexual assault, betrayal and survival. It's a story of how everyone deserves to be loved even through their imperfections; even if they are broken.
Brothers South of the Mason Dixon has officially become one of my favorite books by this author! This is only book two and I'm already completely sunk on the Sutton Boys. Bray and Scarlett was two damaged souls that made for a heart stopping angst filled romance! I flew through the pages of this book in one day. I LOVED it that much. The author brought the feels with this story. I caught myself tearing up more than once. Brothers South of the Mason Dixon was a emotional rollercoaster ride of epic portions. It was every bit worth the wait. Bray and Scarlett's chemistry was off the charts! Two characters couldn't have been more perfect for each other then these two.
“Everyone’s story is different. Doesn’t make it any less powerful.”
Scarlett stole the show for me this book. It was like seeing a whole new character! I had no idea how many facets she truly had until now. My heart completely broke for her so many times. I had no idea the wild crazy girl we come to know in Boys South of the Mason Dixon was so haunted by the demons of her past. I have never wanted any character to have a happily ever after as bad as I did Scarlett.
"Take your time. Make the decision you won’t regret. Not the one you think is safest.”
Bray had me captivated from book one with his bad boy ways. He was dark, broding, and mysterious. His character is so different from his brothers and you can't help being enthralled by him. His vulnerability pulled at my heart strings. He was a emotional hurricane you couldn't stop ypurself from getting consumed in.
5 STARS! BSOTMD has already been a emotional journey, and to say I'm on pens and needles for the next book is a understatement.
