I liked this one, but I had a hard time buying into the relationship between Parker and Andromeda. Sure they had 2 weeks years ago that was super hot, but two weeks, is that really enough that in the 10 years since no one measure up, especially as it was messy when they broke up. I don't know, but it doesn't seem like it to me.

Anyway...I thought the action at the start was a bit crazy. Andromeda leaving her building and all of a sudden people are after her, when Parker shows up to save the day, only to have more drama show up as they go after a witness to keep him safe.

I liked the hideout they went to, loved Roz. Was actually more invested in a maybe/could be something happening between Roz and Mac. Both wanted quiet lives, just to live for different reasons, yet you could see how good they'd be together.

There was more drama at the end, it almost seemed over the top, but I loved how all 4 people worked together to beat the bad guys.

Even with my issues with this one, I liked how it ended, knew that Duncan would be opening another branch.

A new-to-me author. So many of my readers have recommended her to me, but I just hadn't gotten around to reading Ms. Madden. I thoroughly enjoyed the characters in this story. And there was plenty of action and danger to suit my suspenseful taste. I will certainly be reading J.M. Madden again!
I'm wondering if supporting characters Roz and Mac have their own story?

Updated: I did find a novella for Roz and Max in Ms. Madden's LOST AND FOUND PIECES 2 anthology.

I received this ARC for a fair and honest review.

Well in my opinion it's another hit.

Parker Quinn and Andromeda Pierce have a history. It was 8 years ago and now Parker, a former Navy Seal is about to come face to face with the woman who broke his heart. As complicated as that is it gets even more so when they are forced to run in order to protect her star witness and her from evil.

Parker is damaged physically but that doesn't stop him from protecting the woman he still loves. Andromeda still loves him too but things become chaotic very quickly.

As with the other LNF characters that Ms. Madden writes about, Parker has been physically changed by his injuries but as with all of her heroines, Andromeda sees past all that to the man he was when she knew him. This story is a bit different in that the characters have a history. They have chemistry that cannot be denied even after 8 years apart.

There was a lot of action in the story and it kept me reading until I was finished with the story. The story was well written and fast moving. I really liked Andromeda's friend Roz and Mac, he star witness. I was left wondering if Mac had a story to tell.

Another great read and a new hero to fall in love with. I will be buying this book!

SIMPLY AMAZING READ

Parker a man they couldn't break but she had done it once years ago. Andy had pushed him away long ago but she knew she couldn't do it again.
This was a emotional read, characters suffering so much pain. Some still trying to over come but yet life keeps drawing them in. Each page brings you threw a tremendous journey. A well written read that keeps you in touch with JM Madden Lost and Found series but yet brings you into the world of many amazing Authors. This may be the last of this journey and each are stand a lone books but the keep you on the edge of your chairs reading each and hoping for more.....
Read them all!!!!

Flat Line

This is the final book in the Sleeper SEALs multi author series and I am sad that it is finished as every single book has been amazing. They are all actioned packed and this one is as well with our medically retired SEAL, Parker Quinn asked to do an op by the CIA Sleeper SEALs group Commander Lambert to protect Prosecuting Attorney, Andromeda Pierce while she is the lead attorney on a case involving an ISIS terrorist,Mozi al Fareq, that killed innocent children and was caught in the act. The reason the Commander asked Parker because he knew their past would make it impossible for Parker to turn down this op. They had been in love years ago but parted and resumed their career paths. He became a SEAL and her an attorney. He was suppose to just observe her secretly but she was attacked so he had to jump in and help her out. This was the beginning of this suspenseful story as they had to hide from the terrorists trying to take her out as they had done with most of her witnesses. Andy was surprised to see who come to save her and she was also happy to see her SEAL exlover. She also fought off the terrorists and made him jump in her car so they could get away. They next picked up her last living witness, Mac and took off to her friend Roz's house in the mountains which was a few hours away. While they picked up Mac they were attacked again and Parker got shot but kept on going and took several terrorists out as well. How they managed to take out this terrors cell and stay alive after several attempts on their lives made for an exciting reading experience while Parker and Andy fell back in love in the midst of all the chaos. Parker showed even though he was tortured while he was taken prisoner years ago and they put him back together the best they could, he was still a very capable person and functioned through the pain that he always would have from the many metal plates and screws he lived with. None of his imperfections bothered Andy at all and she knew he would always be there for her. He even helped the police interpreting what the terrorists were saying. It was great how Parker and Andy got their happily ever after in the end but I am still good to miss reading more stories in this Sleeper SEALs series. Things were tied to a degree when they said they had taken down one powerful terrorist cell and the prisoners were being shipped away for special questioning by the Commanders men. I highly recommend this book and the entire series was well worth reading with plenty of action, suspense and hot romance.

Excellent!

Just what the rehab doctor ordered! It is so hard to find a new life after serious leg injury. Parker is fantastic! Andy is a great match for him and the plot was wonderful! I really hope JM gives us a follow up soon on Roz! Love these characters! Bravo JM Write On!

Personally, I didn't think that Parker actually did that much... he was literally a sleeper!! LOL! Andromeda and Mac ( and Roz to a good extent ) had more to taking on the baddies in this one. And, like others, felt far more invested in Mac and Roz. So, this is really a 1.5 stars for me...

Oh my, I absolutely loved this book. I have read 8 other Sleeper SEALS stories, all very good but until recently only one was my favorite. This one, just topped that one off.
If you are new to the series, rest assure that each story is a stand alone. The common denominator is Commander Lambert. A man assigned to recruit former Navy SEALs for solo missions. These men work more like ghosts, so if something happens to the mission no one will acknowledge being their employer. The goal, to eliminate domestic terrorist cells.
In this one our main characters are Parker Quinn and Andromeda Pierce. These two met over a decade ago, had a two week affair that left them both hurting and going their separate ways. He to pursue a career he loved, she to pursue her dream of being a lawyer.
Now she is in danger since she is trying to prosecute a terrorist. Commander Lambert sends him to keep her safe.
From the moment they meet again, she is in constant attack.
As engaging as the plot was with all the action, flying bullets, terrorists, etc, what was most touching were the characters. This talented author takes us into the pages of the story and we feel we know these two and want to just hug them . The physical and emotional pain Parker had to endure while serving his country is heartbreaking. A reminder that we need to honor and help our returning troops.
But it’s also a heartwarming and touching story showing that love , can overcome many obstacles and is worth taking the risk.
The secondary characters Mac and Roz were great and I would like to see them having their own story.
Kudos to Ms Madden for this very well written story.
I was gifted a copy of this book . The opinions expressed are solely my own.

5 Suspenseful Stars

This is the final book in the Sleeper SEALs series featuring many of today’s most well known Romantic Suspense authors. It also features Ms. Madden’s Lost and Found Investigative Service.

Parker Quinn is a former SEAL now working for Lost and Found Investigative Services until he gets a call from his former commander Greg Lambert. Confused as to why he is getting a call all of a sudden since he hasn’t heard from him since he returned stateside to heal from his capture and torture at the hands of the enemy. His first reaction is to refuse to work with his old commander until he says the magic words that will ensure he won’t be able to resist, Andromeda Pierce. The one that got away and broke his heart, the woman he has never stopped thinking about or wanting.

When Parker shows up in Andromeda’s life just when she needs him most she is both shocked and thrilled. He is the man she has never forgotten, never gotten over, and she wonders why he is there and not with the SEALs anymore. But...first things first, they must work together to keep her as well as the key witness in a case to put away a terrorist alive. This book is full of suspense, excitement, with a fantastic storyline! Add in some serious sexual tension, feelings of love that have never gone away and close quarters and you have the recipe for another amazing J.M. Madden book.

What a fantastic story to end the Sleeper SEALs

Although I'm sad that the Sleeper SEALs series is ending I hope that it will continue on.

Commander Greg Lambert calls on Parker Quinn to watch over his former flame who is trying to keep her witnesses alive until the trial of a local cell of ISIS sympathizers who targeted a Art Fair killing several children but the witnesses keep dying. Desperate to keep Mac alive a Green Beret they head for West Virginia and her friend's remote cabin. But since Andromeda has a history with Parker will they be able to stay away from each other? When another witness is killed Andi's boss asks the 4 of them to hurry back to Columbus so that Mac can give his testimony. But Mac and Roz are taken hostage by the brother of the ISIS

Parker Quinn was taken hostage when his last SEAL mission went side ways and took the medical retirement but he misses the action and comradery so when Greg Lambert calls he jumps at the chance to protect Andi. But his legs aren't what they used to be due to the torture of his captor. Can he prove to himself that he can protect her, Mac and Roz when they are in West Virginia?

Flat line reminded me of why I love the Lost and Found series and also the need to employ the thousands of veterans after they leave the service medically necessary or voluntary. If there were more men like Duncan and John who have combat modified jobs available it would mean so much to the men and women who have given their all for us.

Sleeper, indeed! Parker Quinn is a "combat-modified" employee of Lost & Found in Denver until he is tapped for a special "Sleeper" job by Commander Lambert. The woman he needs to guard and work with is an old flame and Parker is shocked that he will be in Andromeda's orbit again. the sleeper cell members she is prosecuting for the City of Columbus for a truck attack that killed children is not shy about announcing that they will continue to kill. They have seen to it that all the eyewitnesses to the Columbus Parade bombing have died mysteriously, and the last witness is a quiet, unassuming giant named Zane MacKenzie. They all flee to a cabin in West Virginia where Andy's best friend lives. Mac and Roz take a shine to each other, even though she is clearly uncomfortable with two large men in her home. When she worked as a nurse in a large hospital, she was attacked by a mentally ill patient and suffered from PTSD. This dynamic makes their visit a little edgy but surprisingly at ease. Parker becomes a big cog in the wheel that allows the case and the capture to move forward and they have many near misses on the way to eliminating the enemy in this cell. Of course, Duncan makes sure there can be a happy ending for Andy and Parker, too.

As always JM Madden writes another intense read. She knows how to grab you from the start and you can't stop reading until the very end. I love that all her characters are underdogs/combat modified and you fall in love with each and every one of them.

Parker Quinn is a former Navy SEAL. He gets a call from a former Commander that would change his thinking. As soon as he is told who he'd be helping he's on the first flight. Sometimes second chances are born and you have to fight for what you want.

Andromeda Pierce is a prosecuting attorney in Columbus Ohio. She's on a special case that is taking down a terrorist cell. And it just so happens that a long lost love is called to help protect her while everything goes on. She never thought she'd see Parker Quinn again until he was saving her life.

We follow this story and there is a lot of action and suspense in it. You are rooting for all of them the entire time. As always JM throws the romance in and makes are hearts happy. I would highly recommend this read to any book lover.

2nd Chance for Parker and Andy

I was swept in from the start, feeling so hurt for Parker and all he went thru when he was a Seal. When he got called to protect Andy, I was surprised and excited to find out that she was pretty badass herself.
The story is great with a lot of action and drama all aimed toward Andy with a case she is trying. Their chemistry is still hot after all these years. I was a bit disappointed that their previous relationship was only 2 weeks long, as it seemed more like lust than love, but the feelings are still there, and very strong.
The side story of Roz and Mac is very intriguing, I do so hope they get one of their own.
This whole series has been awesome with each story unique to its writer and can all be read independently, in any order. I'm sad that this is the last book of the Sleepers Seals Series as I really would love to keep reading more.

WOW! What an intriguing story. Parker was a broken man until he found Lost and Found. He then felt like he had a purpose in life again. When Greg called him, he wasn't sure he could handle the case until he heard it was his love, Andromeda. She was a prosecutor who was trying to get a terrorist off the streets. Parker took the case when he heard she was in danger. The drama starts when Parker takes the case and things start going downhill from there. It had a secondary couple too - Mac (Andromeda's star witness) and Roz (her best friend) from one of her previous cases. It would be interesting to see these two together. Anyway, once the terrorists were neutralized, Parker and Andromeda were able to rekindle their love interest in each other. I am happy these two found each other again. I am happy they will get their happily ever after. Great job J.M.! I would recommend this book.

Flat Line is a phenomenal romantic suspense by J.M. Madden. Ms. Madden has provided readers with a well-written book populated with outstanding characters. Parker was discharged from the military after being injured. When his old commander called offering him a job, he wasn't inclined to accept it until he mentioned the name Andromeda Pierce. Andromeda is the attorney trying to put a terrorist behind bars for good but she's losing witnesses. When she's attacked while leaving her apartment she's shocked to find Parker, the one man she never expected to see again, fighting in the street. Parker and Andromeda's story is packed with drama, humor, spice, action and suspense. I loved this book from cover to cover and can't wait for my next book by J.M. Madden. Flat Line is book 12 of the Sleeper SEALs Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.

I really felt for this ex seal, all his on going pain and the frustration of having to leave the job and life he loved. Feeling useless until finally landing a job within his limitations. Called on to protect a woman he knew in his past tests everything. This is suspenseful but also moving in many ways, the plot is well thought out but reads as very real, you can imagine this happening and these characters as not just in the authors imagination. The pace is steady for the most part but does speed up at some points. It gripped me throughout and I enjoyed the action. I am sorry to say goodbye to this amazing series as this is the last scheduled book by this amazing group of authors, they have all done a fantastic job of writing with not just their own characters but the interlinking ones and keeping it true to the theme and the original author.

This is my first Sleeper SEAL's book (i know, I know! Really girlfriend? Wait until number 12 to start? lol) I'm a Lost and Found Series addict and was excited to get a glimpse from anyone in that series! Parker and Andy, what do you say when love hits and you're too young and dumb to appreciate and grab it with both hands? If you're extremely luck fate wants you to be together strongly enough that it throws you together again hoping you both get your ducks in a row this time.

Andy is strong, determined, and in the perfect career for her. Parker has found team atmosphere he loves, acceptance from like-minded coworkers, and a way to work with his abilities. But now that they've found each other again they are states apart and the bad guys are closing in.

I cried, I cursed, I talked out loud to the characters, and now I need to read books 1-11

A good read

I'm so sad to see the series end. I loved everyone of the stories. This story is about a second chance at love. Retired Navy SEAL Parker Quinn is depressed since he was medically discharged. So when his old commander calls him about a job, he is reluctant to take it until the commander tells him who he'll be protecting. Parker and the Prosecuting Attorney, "Andy" have a history. They had a two week love affair eight years ago. She broke it off with him and broke his heart. Now with his limitations, will he be able to protect Andy and her star witness? Will they get a chance to rekindle their romance? Most importantly, will they be able to put the terrorist in prison?

This is the 4th or 5th book in the Sleep SEALs Series that I've read! What a great series by an amazing line up of authors! I really enjoyed the connection to the Lost and Found Series in this book. This story can be read as a standalone without missing a beat!
Loved this story line, the characters and the action! I really enjoyed the chemistry between Parker and Andromeda! I liked how Author Madden shared their back history and worked it into the present. Overall, great, fast moving story that had me flipping the pages! I'm going to have to do a little digging, but I'm really hoping there's a book about Mac and Roz! If not, there needs to be!

Second chance romance is one of my least favorite tropes, the bad feelings and emotions just don’t do it for me. That being said JM Madden is a favorite of mine.

Parker Quinn, Navy SEAL, is bitter about his unwilling discharge and working for LNF when he receives a call from his old commander Greg Lambert.

Andromeda Pierce, prosecuting attorney, is working on a case involving a terrorist attack with rapidly dying witnesses. When she is attacked and sees Parker fending off more attackers she is shocked.

The fast paced storyline had my adrenaline spiking and the characters were exceptional.

Andy is a prosecutor working on a terrorism case. The problem is that her witnesses are dying one by one. She doesn't drop the case so she is attacked in the parking garage of her building. Parker is a vet who is hired to keep her safe. This turns out to be difficult and they hide out in a cabin in the woods.

I liked Andy. She is never stupid and she thinks quickly. Parker is a familiar character, but JM Madden works her magic to make him interesting and new. He was tortured on an op (he's a SEAL) and carries the scars on his body. His legs and ankles are subject to pain and I liked that he was human in that way and not a superman.

The writing is good and the action is as well.

You can always count on Madden to produce an exciting and captivating book. Parker works with her other guys at Lost and Found but he's been asked by his former commander for help. His old flame Andromeda, is the ADA on a case involving a terrorist cell, needs his protection. From the start their adventure is bumpy as they just try to get through the mess and maybe rekindle their relationship. The perfect read for the evening to get the adrenaline pumping. I received my copy from the author, the review written voluntarily and unbiased.

Loved, loved, loved this book! It is a great second chance romance between a super hot alpha male and an strong-willed woman who had a torrid 2 week affair before going their separate ways. Back together when Andromeda is in danger, Parker Quinn comes to the rescue whether she wants his help or not. Lots of action, lust, love and laughs plus the LNF characters -- what's not to love.

I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy of this book and enjoyed every moment of the ride. You need to read this book, right away.

Hopefully not finished

Have read all 12 in the series hopefully this series is not over. This story with Parker and Andromeda (Andy) has the potential for a spin-off of J.M. Madden Lost and found series the great thing I loved I was able to find other writers I can explore more and being a Life member of the DAV myself (Vietnam) it was great to reading about veterans able to function in civilian life with there disabilities. Cannot wait for the short story on Lambert and I definitely will be checking out the other Authors. I highly recommend all 12 Sleeper Seal stories

He left the love of his or was push away because she wanted her career and new he was going for his as a seal. Things change she's in trouble and he's sent to help. Terrorists are after her because she's a lawyer for the children who've been hurt and killed. she's not letting go! Heart Wrenching!!!

This story was heart felt, as I was reading it I could see everything that was happening to Andromeda and Parker. I cried and felt the anger as she went through the case she was working on. It also showed me that our men and women soldiers who retire or are injured in the line of duty still have a lot to contribute if they are able to and/or are given the chance. I definitely recommend this book, it was a little slow paced. But I still enjoyed it, it was eye opening what our soldiers endure while in service.

5 stars for Flat Line by J.M. Madden

Another great read for an amazing series of Sleeper Seals. This book is full of suspense and intrigue. It sure keeps you on the edge of your seat. I am very pleased that it has a happy ending given the subject matter. Very strong storyline with varying emotions. Andromeda is a very strong woman. Parker sure has been put through the ringer with his injuries and, nevertheless, is there for Andy. Wanted more of Mac and Roz. Can't wait for more of Sleeper Seals.

Excellent! J m Madden fully develops characters and makes them real to the reader. You can’t help but start and finish her books in a single day. The story wraps you up and you can’t stop reading until you know how it all ends.
Parker gets a second chance with Andromeda, a woman he spent 2 explosive weeks with but his life as a SEAL and hers as an attorney had them going in different directions. When she’s in trouble, he knows he is the only man for the job and sets out to save her.
