When Bodie goes after Ty McLennan, it has nothing to do with money. McLennan shot and killed Bodie's friend, Gunnar Olsen, during a bank robbery. When Bodie attends the funeral, he meets US Marshal Alvin LeRoy. LeRoy is also on the trail of McLennan and his bunch, so they decide to team up and track them down together. But as always, the final showdown could go one of two ways. Bodie could exact revenge for his murdered friend...or join him on Boot Hill!

Another western, HIGH KILL, was later published in the SUNDANCE series as BOUNTY KILLER. His western output can also be found under the names ‘Dan Stewart’, ‘John C. Danner’ and ‘Frederick H. Christian’, the latter name employed when he ghost-wrote an additional five titles in Frederick Nolan’s popular FRANK ANGEL series. Mike has written three ‘nasty’ horror novels under his own name, but since the late 1980s has become best-known as one of the most popular contributors to Gold Eagle’s MACK BOLAN series, chronicling the adventures of PHOENIX FORCE, THE EXECUTIONER and STONY MAN, as well as his own action-adventure series, CADE.
Bodie didn't have may friends in fact, that count didn't go past two. The type of life he led prevented it. Gunnar Olsen, sheriff of Clear Springs was considered one of the two friends Bodie had. Gunnar Olsen, did not carry a gun, he was a big man with large hands who believed you could settle differences without killing each other. That will end unknowingly will Gunnar hired a Ty McLennan as his deputy. McLennan was armed so that was a plus, in the sense he could back Gunnar when and if he was needed. Gunnar had a feeling that there was something off about Ty McLennan, but just couldn't put his finger on it, but it was there. Little did Gunnar know that McLennan was a leader of a gang of bank robbers who were robbing town banks left and right. This time he picked the wrong town to rob. McLennan murdered Gunnar during a bank robbery, shot the man cold blooded. Didn't care as the gang was escaping they ran down a town's citizen breaking both her legs. Bodie heard about his friend's death, very very unhappy vowed to himself and the town's council that he'll go after the gang. Now you cowboys and cowgirls there's a new guy we've never heard of U.S. Marshal Alvin LeRoy, who will accompany Bodie on the hunt for Ty McLennan's gang of owlhoots. Just remember you can never outwit the law, people always slip up no matter how smart they think they are, check your back trail as you spot that lone rider trailing you and a shiver goes up your spine....gotcha you??!!
