Sihoon is handsome, cultured and rich. What else would you expect from an established doctor? He's everything that Junyoung wants to be, once he gets out of college. Oh, and Junyoung's not gay. At least, that's what he says... while he's more or less having sex with Sihoon. A man. A married man. A married man who happens to be dating his his best friend, Mari.
I can understand why this Manhwa is not so liked. They are so much wrong solution and misunderstanding, but I think this teach readers. Teach us to communicate, to trusting the people (especially to your partner and friends), sharing, not to waste time and much more. I’m glad I read this.
the misunderstanding annoyed me alot, the characters were great, but what really interested me was the conversation about relationships built on some sort of thrill. in this case, it was the thrill of having an affair with a married man, and it really criticizes the person who is helping the husband cheat. the wife points out to the girl that she has made herself the tragic hero in a doomed love story and that is the only meaning to the girl and husband's affair. without that affair aspect, would this person even be with the husband? would they have as much fun with the husband? would she even like him?
it just got me thinking of the kinds of tropes that are usually popular. unrequited love, slow burn, enemies to lovers all play off this seemingly normal person to be a martyr for their love, willing to give up or even do immoral things for their love. but after they do get their wish of being with the person who was once unattainable, will they even like them? or was the only reason they were in love was precisely because they were unattainable? and if that factor is gone, what is left?
it's just something i'd always thought of alone, but seeing it explained made me think about it even more.
I don’t even know if this deserves five stars, but also I can’t think of anything I’d change or didn’t like because everything lends to the absolute trainwreck and that’s the appeal
The beginning was very interesting. But as the story progresses, the “misunderstanding” became so dragging. The characters were a bit bland but the sex scenes and the sugar daddy was hot so—
THAT is the typical yaoi for you.
All in all, I just didn’t like the pacing of the story and how the story focused solely on the misunderstanding. But I guess, it was a cute light read tho, so who am I to complain?
The art is an acquired taste. However, the art is perfect! The proportions, the angles.. down to the toenail, this artist nails it. The story is flawless, and smooth. It's stunning. The fact that it's finished. Beautiful.
