This book narrates everyday events in a neighborhood and covers sensitive subjects that many people find uncomfortable to discuss. We must not pretend they dont exist. The book is purely fiction and intends to describe the influence of people in each stage of our lives. It also shows how people deal with the ups and downs and challenges they face during their lifetime. The storys purpose is to educate and entertain readers. The Neighbor at Number 18 is a life story of a woman whose childhood experiences horribly manifested in her later years and as result of dementia. The book is packed with romance, friendship, family, and discoveries. It is strictly an adult read.
This book had potential. But also had a lot of issues. In a serious need of professional editing. Also, it has many heavy subjects that are dealt with in rather a superficial way. It needs more pages that will allow characters to grow and plotline to develop. I liked the realistic approach.
Dissapointing! The book could do with a few serious rounds of professional editing and proof reading. Apart from this, even the plot, the way it proceeds needs consideration. It gets to a point where the initial themes don't make sense to me at all. Cannot suggest this book to anyone.
This book was so poorly edited that I had a hard time following the plot. Until a revised copy is released I do not recommend reading it and I suggest no one buys a book of this quality.
