That's right I first wrote my name at the age of two and I've been writing ever since. Growing up I always felt invisible. I suffered from that 'Middle Child Syndrome', so when my voice wasn't heard, I made my own story.
My journal and my pen became my companion. I would write stories where my characters looked like me (thick, tall, and pretty), they loved to read, was educated, and realistic. The older I got the more my imagination grew, which caused my stories to be more diverse.
Becoming an author came about in an unintentional way. I've been through many things in my adult life. My husband, who's my backbone, has always admired my strength. We suffered a devastating loss, our daughter. My husband urged me to tell my story, to be a light for someone else. I took him up on his advice and wrote my pains and truths.
I love weaving stories, touching readers with relatable characters and situations. I give life lessons, unconditional love, dedication, a little crazy, and a whole lot of truth. I have a saying that I live by; 'I don't just write books;I tell stories'.

Good read
This series is very good as always I enjoy reading from this author she really knows how to keep it interesting to keep you wanting toread more from her. Jealousy and envy is a terrible thing Sherrod was a very terrible person. He treated his mother so disrespectful and wrong and care about no one but his self only seeking attention she needed to go to therapy and get his life together but he ended up getting exactly what he deserved. All Kwalik ever did was lookout for others and be the great person that he was I hated that his so called family did him like that all bcuz of whos child he was. That triflin sister smh she was just down right nasty. Glad Plum stood up for herself against her crazy family, they were jus horrible! So happy Plum and Kawalik got there happiness and he learned to trust again. Tula was a firecracker loved her and Mike together so glad she saw the good in him. Monte was a mess happy he got himself someone. I highly reccommend this loved the unity they had each others back for real.

More than expected
So I had the pleasure of reading part 1 and 2 back to back. I must say this story had me crying laughing and on the edge of my seat. Kwalik and Plum deserve each other. It amazes me the things family will do with the things they make up in their own minds. Aunt Birdie and Charad are some sick individuals and deserved more than they got. I'm happy evetyon8found someone. Is Monte is my dude he had me laughing the entire time. Everybody needs a Monte and a Tula in their lives. Great Job

I enjoyed this book but is says that karma is a motha now Charad is in prison now being someone bihhh.. Plum's family finally left her alone because she knew to much about them and they want to have the nerve to talk about her job isn't a good look for them but her dad and brother in law is gay and her sister had to sex her way to get her job and the baby isn't even her gay husbands this book took me there because you family can be your biggest fans as well as your worst enemies

Family is sometimes your worst enemies!!
This was so good, from beginning to end!! No drugs or side b*tches!! I can’t think 2 more people that deserved/earned their happiness than Plum & Kwalik!! Kwalik was an example of what a real man is... Monte is the star and can’t wait to read his story. Tula & Mike are cute together. Both of the families were hard to take. Charad and Aunt Birdie were sick in the head. Plum’s family were just plain ignorant. Love, love, loved this series!!

Life Sentence of love
Kendra this was a different type of series from what I been reading and I must say I loved it. Of covered many different subjects and each one is a life lesson you did a wonderful job making it seem so real and serious but yet you added humor and kept it interesting most of all I loved the ending everyone got their happy ever after and charad got his punishment. Keep up the great work looking forward to your next book.

Man what an amazing book
Man this book is so good i just loved this series & u would too if u would read it. I was so glad Charad got his krama & he was sent where he was trying to send Kwalik. just bc he was filled with so much hate & jealousy after all tht Kwalik got a new lease on life & the women of his dreams. They r so good for one another & their love prevailed. Kendra Sumter girl i will be reading a lot more of ur books

Awesome Read
This was a great series from beginning to end!!! Kwalik went through a lot but I'm glad that he got his happy ever after with the woman he love, Plum.... I'm glad that he forgave his auntie Charlie cuz she really did love him, it was just that cousin of his that couldn't get past the jealousy that had him hating so much and auntie birdy I don't even know what to say for that crazy broad she was just sick!! Awesome Read

Page Turning Series
First off I love Monte, he kept me laughing. Plum and Kwalik I just knew they were going to get caught but I don't think the people in the house would have told. Charad got what he deserved but i wish someone would have beat his ass. I was hoping Birdie went to jail but without her sister I hope she is more miserable. Great series it definitely was a page turner

Loved it!!!
This story.line was great Monte is probably my favorite character in the book.LOL his a== kept me laughing throughput the story. Both Plum and Tula were some Rida or die women for their men,but also for the guys that. Lived in the half way house.Charade got exactly what he deserved jail,sorry sumbitch😈.

Much love
You know a story is great when you laughing out loud and repeating it to others, I couldn't put it down. I need a Monte in my life he had me cracking up through the entire series. Wish there were more people like these two ladies in the world. Giving of one's self without expecting anything in return. They created a family bond that will never be broken. Loved it.

Everything worked out for Kwalik and Plum perfectly. I'm glad Mike and Tula got their happy ending too. I think Monte was my favorite character and I wouldn't mind a story on him. Great job I enjoyed it.

He was truly his father’s child, I cannot believe how entitled and self absorbed Charad was, I felt so bad for Kwalik but the way Plum opened up to him he had no choice but to love her. Tula I’m glad she stopped playing games with Mike.

Great story
I loved this story there was never a dull moment. The characters were great and the flow was perfect. I love every story that I've read from Kendra Sumter which is every one that she's written. Can't wait to see what's next.

Good read
It seems like her books get better and better. Love me some Kwalik Mike and Monte lil behind. Plum and Kwalik had that forever love. Mike finally broke Tula down. Monte man he is hilarious. Gotta love him. This was a great series would recommend

Great series
I so loved this series!!! It was something differen from reading all the drug romance books. I loved Monte's crazy ass he had me laughing through the whole series. Especially when I wanted too hang the cousin and Aunt.

Kwalik omg came so far..his cousin was beyond a piece of work. Like come on “you your daddy son” I’m so glad hr found happiness and a second chance. Tula and mike just made me giggle..now Monte was the best ever he didn’t care but he cared a lot. This was worth it

So emotional..
This book was so deep and so emotional. How can you hate someone just because they are good person. Charad just straight evil him and his aunt birdie. So thankful that kwalik and plum got their happy. No love without tragedy. Amazing!! Bravo!!!!! Must read series.
