Rolling Stone named them Band of the Year for 1998. Spin did the same. Entertainment Weekly pronounced their last CD the Album of the Year. People said they had the Best Song for 1997. US called them one of the biggest entertainment stories of 1997. The New York Times put them on the Top 10 list for 1997 as did the Los Angeles Times. What's all the fuss about?Radiohead. Inspired by the creative genius of lead vocalist Thom Yorke, Radiohead got started in Oxford, England, in 1987. The band has risen to become one of the top alternative bands of the 1990s. Radiohead's second album, The Bends, made the Top 50 of Q magazine's Best Albums of 1995. With the 1997 release of OK Computer the band's popularity began to soar; the album hit # 1 on the British charts, and was named Spin magazine's #2 LP of the Year. Soon after, Radiohead was nominated for three 1998 Brit Awards. They also picked up a Grammy Award in the same year for Best Alternative Music Performance for OK Computer. A recent British poll called OK Computer the most favored album of all time. Anyone who types in the name Radiohead on an Internet search will find all the evidence they need of how huge this band has become. As Rolling Stone says, they are "a stunning art-rock tour de force". That's what all the fuss is about.

Tells the awesome story of Thom and friends. Bought this for my brother's birthday last year from the left overr shelf at the librairy. It was a dimond in the ruff. I love radiohead, and the lotus flower video for the new album, kin of limbs, is hysterically funny from Thom's dancing, yet so serious, in inceptive, from his facial movements and dancing. A well Done foreward, indeed!
Great book if you’re a Radiohead fan, it only goes up to the late 90s though. Many unreleased songs the author highlights have since been released. The book ends during the Ok Computer era, but other than that I really enjoyed it.
